We decided to drive from Roosevelt back to Mesa going through Globe. Since it was Sunday several places were closed but we wanted BBQ. We found this on the map and said let's try it. When we arrived there was only one table. The staff was friendly and welcoming. My fiance got the Kings Plate which came with turkey, ribs, pork butt, and brisket, and 2 sides. He also had a wedge salad. I had the brisket. The wedge salad was so good the flavor was really nice and fresh. The food was great and fresh. I was bummed they were out of Elote and Potato salad so we will have to come back. I heard a local say they came in just for the potato salad so now I'm really curious. We came here after going to another local place and having an unpleasant experience upon entering. This experience was a full 180 in a good way. The welcome was warm, the food was tasty and quality, and the fries were fresh and delicious. We got the BFS I think it was called and it was packed full of nicely smoked meats. The bbq sauces were also a nice touch at the table. The fries were a good portion and enough for two people to share. I loved the season on the fries as well. It's been a minute since I've updated. Last month after going to several BBQ places around the valley me and my bff have decided that the Brisket at Silver King is the absolute best. It's the only BBQ place I've been to where the sauce actually enhances the meat, I don't really like the sauce by itself but put it on the brisket and it's like complete magic in your mouth, I'm talking about the house sauce, which takes alot of care and a thought process when making both any rubs that go on the meat and then what also goes into the sauce, not an easy feat. Alot of places I like the sauce and I like the meat but putting them together doesn't really make either better. My Bff also doesn't like pork ribs and this is literally the only place where he orders them and raves about them. I personally love that they have fries, I think it's a natural pairing to BBQ and am not sure why nowhere else, I've come across does it. The smoked wings are also phenomenal and I almost always get an order, eat 1 there and take the rest home as a bonus meal where I caramelize the sauce on them even more by heating in the oven. Definitely do the upgraded bourbon sauce it's the best. They also have an excellent flavored ice tea and I've had good cocktails as well. I find it has a good range for pretty much anyone. read more

Order at the counter, seat yourself, they bring your food, then you bus your table. Works easy. The outside seating was great and you can see them work at the smokers. The menu is straight forward, no fuss. We had the side wedge salad, potato salad, side of pulled pork, and loaded fries. I thought it was weird when walking up to the door and I didn't smell the smell of barbecue but the inside was really cool and rustic looking with the saloon type of vibe so we decided to try it out! Sadly it was underwhelming.. the meat was dry and had a weird gray tint to it. I tried adding bbq sauce but that didn't have much flavor to it either. The meats actually have a weird tuna type of smell. We tried the pulled pork, brisket and ribs. Maybe we came on an off day - I'm not sure. Stopped in for lunch here today after visiting the arboretum and had such a nice easygoing experience. Gilbert was preparing a delicious looking salad when we commented on it. He let us have a try of his recipe and it is a winner. Hope they add it to the menu as a side. But we ordered brisket sandwiches and turkey sandwiches with macaroni sides and wedge salad sides. First off let's say they make their own barbecue sauce and it is yummy! The original barbecue sauce was not overly sweetened and spicy barbecue sauce was actually spicy lol, truly flavorful! The Gold BBQ sauce was a mustard-based for those that are into that flavor. The real winner here was the pork butt on the Loaded Fries. The pork had a nice light smoky flavor without being over powering or dry!! It was DELICIOUS!! I actually watched my picky daughter enjoy them! Enough to share, this is a definite order again!! Coleslaw was slightly sweet and to my surprise my daughter enjoyed it! Seriously I don't think I've ever actually seen her eat coleslaw!! I wanted a frozen margarita, but they couldn't make one, next time I'll just order a Jack Daniels! The drink menu was interesting, I'll try one next time. While you wait, the owners have REALLY taken a nostalgic appreciation to the area of Superior with lots of meaningful relics, great to explore while you wait for your food, which arrived quickly. This was MUCH Appreciated because we are a 3rd generation mining family! The disappointment was the sad little wings. They were soooo small, but they were really perfect other than that! First time at Silver King BBQ. Previously here, many times when Porters. Lunch party of three and we all had the Bacon Burger. Two with fries and I had the slaw. They have a limited weekday menu but still something for everyone. Friday, Saturday and Sunday they have an expanded menu. Friday is supposed to be the best day for larger selection of BBQ. Orders arrived and many happy faces. First bite was one of those wow moments. Burger was perfectly cooked, tasted like it was cooked on an open flame.
