Thank you sooooo much Shamrock!! We came in today, almost a two hour drive, to get a 65# septarian nodule cut. It turned out amazing and was handled and cut like a pro! Rick, was absolutely wonderful to deal with and really treated us like family. He gave us so much cool info on their mine and all the material they pull out. He gave us a great deal on honeycomb calcite and even let us hound a couple of pieces out of the "scrap" pile. He showed us cool processes on how the calcite can be polished and ran through acid.. we really had a wonderful time and when we were driving back home, we were all on such a beautiful high. Smiling and laughing. Happy.. Thanks again Rick and Shamrock, we will continue to say great things as well as buy from you in the future! read more

Honeycomb Calcite is an exceptionally beautiful stone mined exclusively in Utah State. Its characteristics are much like that of onyx and marble. Every piece is unique in color and pattern, ranging from deep amber to rich honey yellow. Calcite veins create an impressive marbling effect and its translucent quality provides a warm luminous glow when accentuated by indirect or artificial light. This stone can be cut, carved and polished in a variety of ways; making its uses practically unlimited. Some of the many uses for this stone include art work, home décor, fountains, light fixtures, sinks, counter tops, and jewelry.
