I'd been dealing with some pretty stubborn acne scars for a while. The team at Renew came up with a treatment plan that would give me the best improvement, and I've seen a big difference in my skin. The scarring is much less noticeable now, and in some areas, now undetectable. In addition to addressing texture issues, they very naturally rejuvenated my appearance with a touch of Juvéderm fillers (a collection of HA fillers with different textures used to address a number of concerns like facial laxity, improved definition and structure, and just overall rejuvenation.) This gave me a refreshed look and I absolutely love seeing the improvement. It makes me feel so much more confident. Honestly, overall I am really impressed with their knowledge, skill and how they specialize in pigmented skin. I always feel safe with Dr. Sethi and Nurse Kat. I had a really friendly aesthetician named Lex. She was friendly, talkative and even gave me a count down during pulls. Lex shared that's she's been waxing for two years and gave me some useful tips, products I can use to prevent ingrown, exfoliate and lighten up the bikini area. What I didn't like: I'm not sure the type of wax was being used, maybe it wasn't warm enough but because it didn't feel like a smooth application. Even after the clean up, I came home to bits of wax on me and my panties. The wax didn't seem to grip of pull (maybe because I have deep roots idk) I did an inspection of service and felt patches of hair were I didn't want them. BEFORE she even started cutting my hair, another customer walked in, and I overheard her say she was "almost done." On the day of the service, no strand test was performed. The student applied bleach to my entire head without testing a small section first. During the process, another student asked if they were going to check the condition of my hair. The student doing my hair said they would check "later" and laughed. The instructors came over and looked at my hair. They did not test the integrity. They did not stop the service. They encouraged the student to keep going. I trusted the professionals to have the expertise to handle my hair as I am not a pro myself. The student rinsed my hair with hot water. My hair became severely damaged and broke off. After the service, when the instructor cut my hair, they admitted it was "so damaged it had to be cut that short." I lost 13 inches of length. For about a week afterward, my neck and scalp were tender from rough handling. The student treated my head like a separate mannequin head rather than a head attached to an actual human person. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the state board.
