They ran all necessary test to make sure everything was fine with his vitals. Was very helpful and very informative on what was going on. Kept him comfortable and eased his and our concerns. Luckily he is doing better. They got him stable and we got to all go home. We all had a good nights rest which helped with blood pressure and heart rate. He is doing good this morning. If I could give this staff 10 STARS - I WOULD!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU NEED EMERGENCY CARE!!

I was holding my breath and needed air, so I had to pull my fingers from the pier. Dr. Defee was my surgeon and he did a great job for me. My nubs are healing, and I'm not in too much pain. As a new resident to San Angelo and a first time patient here, the older gentleman, (MRI Tech) told me he sends everything to Shannon Hospital. I specifically requested it be sent to my Primary Care office because I'm NOT a patient of Shannon Hospital nor did they order the MRI, AND I paid out of pocket for it. I did stop by my primary care office on the way home and mentioned this and they said they will call Angelo MRI to get the scoop. The facility is exceptionally clean, looks to be newer construction with several specialty services offered. Each service is clearly marked to help find where to check in at. The ORTHOPEDIC staff from check in thru check out were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Dr Alexander was friendly and listened to my concerns, offered his opinion and thoughts and had my best interest at heart. Rotator, shoulder injury and pain will prevent a good nights sleep and almost impossible to find a resting, pain free position for the affected arm. I received a cortisone shot today in my shoulder after 5 months of me self treating with OTC meds Aleve, Motrin, Excedrin, prescription med, supplements, ice pack, shoulder brace, arm sling, Votaren, Bio-Freeze, heat therapy, tens unit, light arm stretching, massages and NOTHING really helped. I appreciate Dr Alexander's treatment and advice and hopefully on the road to recovery w/o needing surgery.

I don't want to dissuade anyone from using Concho Valley ER. I've come here for the past two years…read more Once, I came in for a headache and they found that I needed my spleen removed. They are usually extremely thorough and caring and curious to your condition to help find the proper diagnosis. I love this place and all its staff. Yesterday at 3 AM I came in with strep. My test result was negative because it was too early to test positive. Dr. Hamilton was my doctor and asked what brought me in. When I said I have strep, he said, "no you don't. You have a sore throat." He did not ask me a single question of why I thought I had strep, what symptoms I was having. He told me INCORRECTLY that I did not have strep. I have no spleen. Strep is the most dangerous thing I can catch without a spleen. It would have been detrimental to my health if I had listened to him and not taken antibiotics and went home without treatment. From what I understand, a doctor doesn't like a patient diagnosing themselves. I have strep so often, I get it multiple times a year, I often know I have it before I test positive. He was not looking for the context on why I knew I had it, he didn't care at all. I didn't stand up for myself or tell him these things because he made me feel so little, he didn't ask, he kept talking without curiosity and rather with criticism, and told me that they "can't prescribe antibiotics every time I have a sore throat." There was eggsudate in my throat he refused to acknowledge. Not that he was going to check in the first place, I brought it up first, handed him my own phones flashlight, and he claimed it was just irritation. I promise you there was already a white patch by my to tonsils at this point- I had checked before I went to the ER. It's now 29 hours later and my throat is white. I have a temperature of 99 and body aches. If I went into the urgent care I would test positive in a second. 29 hours ago I had strep, and in this second I have strep. The only difference is the rapid test result. He did end up prescribing me antibiotics after he felt my lymph nodes but he did not tell me nor acknowledge that he could be wrong, that I could have strep, or that it could be anything at all! He simply said "you have one inflamed lymph node, let me send off a culture" and those were his last words to me. The inflamed lymph node by the way was on the side with the eggsudate in my throat. A nurse handled the rest of the interaction with the care and respect that you'd expect a doctor to have. I have never left a review anywhere but if Dr. Hamilton is your doctor at 3 AM, be prepared for him to let his mood interfere with his professional duties. I think that this doctor's mistake and ego could've really injured me. I can't imagine working 24 hour shifts or being woken up and expected to deal with patients. But I was scared and hurting and all I wanted was him to help me, not sing and dance and do backflips.
