Picked this spot for lunch after a long morning hiking and exploring. I always love an order at the…read morecounter and pay before sitting style of dining. The cashier was nice and had good energy. I ordered a burger and my husband got the spicy chicken sandwich. The burger was pretty good, just a standard smash patty with a potato bun. The fries were pretty good as well. I will say the house made ranch was a little bland. The chicken sandwich was good as well. Nice crisp to the patty and good spice.

There's a cool wood-fired oven for pizza, which was a fun process to watch. I ordered the patty melt, which is something I never order, but I was in a rush to decide & did one of those, "I'll have what he's having" things when my husband ordered his patty melt. We're big seltzer water people, so when we went to order a seltzer and the lady told us it was free and self-serve, I was elated. The food didn't take very long & it was tasty looking! The sandwich was cut in half with smashed burger meat overflowing past the bread. It was glorious. The part of the plate that wasn't dominated by melty goodness was filled with with well-seasoned and crisp homemade fries. I could smell how delicious everything was the moment the moment the plate was set down in front of me. Flavor & texture of all the things exceeded expectations. The patty melt had layers of crispy fried onions that made for a lovely and tasty first-bite surprise, & continued to bring joy with each subsequent bite. Every there was incredibly nice and friendly. Dining there was so easy and lovely. Would love to come back the next time we pass through!

The food we tried was really good. We started with the potstickers soup shareable. Great flavors!…read moreThen we had buffalo cauliflower and that was yummy spicy. Hubby had the shrimp po' boy. He has had a few of these and this one was "pretty good". This is a rave review for my hubby as he is a chef! Great beer selection, super friendly staff and the ambiance is both glorious and chill. Give it a try!! Watch out for the correct address however. One of our group had a hard time finding the right one.

BE AWARE........... they charge a ridiculous "service fee" WITHOUT TELLING THE CUSTOMER…read more They hide the fee in the receipt. We paid cash so this was not a credit card fee. We ordered a round of drinks and the place was so hot that we decided not to eat and closed our tab of $23 with an additional 5% "service fee". We paid cash so this is NOT a credit card fee. Sorry guys- you lost me as a customer. I hate being "nickled and dimed". Just add 5 cents to everything on the menu and call it a day! Dont be sneaky and charge a ridiculous random fee just because you think you can. No thanks! Other issue is the bar stools are bolted down... why?! Short people sit too far away from the bar now and its very uncomfortable. Menu looked the same so food is normally good from past visits in old place. Bar drinks were good, just too hot in there to enjoy. It's too bad about the 5% fee because I really wanted to make this a new favorite place. Deal breaker.

Have been to Steam Distillery now on multiple occasions since they opened and continue to hope that service time will improve. The Lemongrass Collins is my absolute favorite cocktail on their menu, its just unfortunate that the service is extremely slow. There is typically only 1 or 2 employees handling the entire space and since the drinks are all crafted, between waiting to get your order taken and then waiting for the drinks to arrive, you're looking at 15 to 20 minutes. For the first time of these visits, we made reservations for the now reservation only Sunday menu. Reservation was at 4 and you had to place your order at the time of making your reservation days ahead. We didnt get our meals until 445. While the menu and presentation were amazing, the taste was not there. Lobster was very overcooked and lacked flavor in the seasoning, prime rib cut was impressive at 16oz but was cooked perfect and thankfully was served with some type of horseradish cream. The potatoes were stated as being a mashed potatoe type but we're not a mash in my opinion at all. It was a half super chunky scoop with the sour cream and butter kind of hidden in the middle.

I've been to Wild River a handful of times over the last few years. Loved the pizza, onion rings…read moreand Caesar salads. But today, I wasn't very hungry and ordered the shrimp appetizer. I was told there would be five prawns in a butter sauce. However, what came were eight tiny shrimp -- maybe 1.5 inches each. The butter sauce, which also had lots of chopped tomatoes, pretty much covered the shrimp and then some. This makes sense because besides not being prawns, the shrimp was rubbery and tasteless. I don't understand why I wasn't told that there were no prawns today, to see if I wanted to order something else instead. In retrospect, I should have returned the dish but our server (Beau) was so nice that I just didn't have the heart to do so. I decided to get a to-go container, thinking, I dunno, maybe the butter sauce would season the shrimp and it would taste better in a few hours. I ended up leaving the shrimp behind instead. So, great service, very clean and nice folks. Just stick to pizza, folks. And don't order the shrimp appetizer.

The unique tri-level layout of the interior is so fun, and I enjoy the old-timey pizza place ambiance a lot! The newer addition of the arcade was great because it kept the younger kids busy until the food came. We started with two appetizers, the Crostini Caprese and garlic bread. They were both delicious! We also all got the Wild River Root Beer and loved it. For pizzas, we got a pepperoni pizza, a cheese pizza, and my favorite; the BLT pizza. The BLT pizza was garlic sauce, mozzarella and bacon, then topped with lettuce and tomato. The lettuce made it a little hard to eat, but it was so good I didn't mind at all! The crust was good, I don't really like thick pizzas, and I thought that the thin crust was perfect. Overall a great classic pizza place, and will be returning next summer!
