Dr. Galiano immediately diagnosed the issue as an aggressive keloid and confidently recommended surgery as the best path forward. The surgery went great! I was particularly impressed that he used his own specialized bandaging technique to ensure the scar healed perfectly. The results are incredible: My c-section scar is completely gone, and my flat stomach is back! I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Galiano and his entire team for their expertise, care, and delivering such a great result.

I have an extra gland under my arm, in which he did not remove because he said it would have been too much for me. And he was right. Therefore, he's waiting 90 days after my 6 week post operation to schedule that procedure. I followed his instructions given 4 months prior to surgery and I lost some weight and completely stopped smoking. He cares about your overall health as well as the plastic surgery procedure he is going to perform. I would recommend to any of my Friends and Family who are thinking about having procedures done. He's very upfront about your healing process. I'll comeback in a year and tell you how happy I am with my results!!

This is the first time I'm writing a review on my procedure. Six years ago I had a skinny bbl done…read moreby Dr Lorri Cobbins. I was naive at the time but I really wanted a little bit added to my bottom so I went in for a consult. I was also really skinny (like model skinny) so even then she told me oh yeah I've had patients your size or smaller do procedures by me, I wish she rejected me or at least did a less risky procedure since her skills didn't match the words I heard. My body was so perfect in every way before this procedure (just wanted a little boost on my bottom). I remember I said "I heard some peoples shoulders get bigger she was like "Oh no that's not true at all." She did Lipo to my stomach which barely had much fat, inner thighs, and back. Anyways 6 yrs later and I'm struggling with my body image. I've lost my confidence, my skinny bbl doesn't look great, can't find a solution because I have skin laxity on my back and stomach, scarring/tethering (again this is from the aggressive lipo she did and how she used the surgical tools), Lipo fibrosis on stomach and back and yes the upper back looks bigger. I followed all the instructions of wearing the compression garment and everything. The problem wasn't the aftercare instructions I perfectly followed, the problem was the poor surgical technique. She did aggressive lipo on me, took out too much fat because I was thin and ruined the look of my skin. I now have 2 rolls on my back that I never had before my procedure and I feel always bloated for some odd reason no matter what I eat healthy or not even though my diet didn't change. I only gained about 10 pounds (still at a weight women would love) but even with that if the surgical skills were good the body would grow out nice and even, it wouldn't look botched. I wish she rejected me and told me to come back in a year or 2 if I want something permanent after I try something temporary. I wish she told me thoroughly and openly what kind of problems can come up (this was only briefly discussed and none of the problems I have now were discussed as potential issues after surgery). I wish she gave me a temporary option or smaller procedure not as damaging as a first solution to see what it would look like. I didn't receive any other options. I think plastic surgeons (especially ones who've had botched outcomes from their work) need to give a couple options and really think about if the contouring will look nice with each option so the patient can have a good long term outcome and more people will trust them for procedures. Dr. Cobbins took away the most thing that made me confident back then and damaged my body. I am struggling in every way imaginable because of this procedure done by Dr. Lorri Cobbins. The most perfect parts of my body were ruined because of horrible surgical technique and now I am left grieving it. I struggle every day to look for a way to fix it and I'm too afraid to go to someone else that may further damage me. I don't take photos anymore like I used to, I don't try on clothes when I shop like I want to. I can't look at myself in the mirror the same way. Please if you want a better/different look try temporary cosmetic things first so they go away if you don't like them and you don't have to live with the permanent result of a botched procedure.

Everything from my first consultation through the procedure and follow-up was smooth sailing. All of my questions, no matter how small, were answered with thorough explanations to help me get the best result... and I truly believe I did. I waited a long time to get this surgery (probably longer than I should have, but that's a 'me' thing), and I couldn't be happier with my experience all-around. From the kind and knowledgeable staff, to the amazing on-site surgical center, right down to Dr. Cobbins' brilliant expertise and joyful spirit... My experience at the Aesthetic Institute was everything I wanted. The best part: it all fell within my budget. Dr. Cobbins, I can't thank you enough for giving me my self-confidence back.

The woman who did my Botox was lovely, talked about what I wanted/needed and asked lots of questions about my previous experience so that she could provide the perfect care, which was thoughtful (and also super professional!). The Botox itself was painless (they have the buzzer for you to use which is awesome for someone with no pain tolerance like me!) and was completed in under 20 minutes. It has set in now and I am no longer waking up with headaches/tight jaw, so definitely works for TMJ girlies like myself. I also thought the pricing was super fair, very much in line with what I've paid before and the touchups being included the first two weeks is super generous (I didn't need any, but neat perk!). I will absolutely be back when I need my next dose! Highly recommend this med spa.

His staff in the room works for me as they were all professional, personable and knowledgeable while being open to getting information for me about the look I did not want. Sidebar: I brought in pictures. Anywhoo, the front desk was personable, helpful and professional including my greeting to my exit. Unfortunately, I parked in the wrong ramp so there was no comp. What can improve: 1) follow-up. I didn't hear from anyone after the insurance submission. I don't know if they appealed or have a business manager or office manager that reaches out to just say here's our cost, out of pocket, or if they feel folks wont come up with it. 2) I learned fromy insurance billing that Dr. S is out of my network but I was prepared to pay that BECAUSE I have seen his work and talked to ladies for candid feedback/testimonals. 3) Bill arrived but I didn't see a website to pay online which I would have much rather alas I called in Friday, March 21st and the person that answered was less than stellar compared to my physical visit. To wrap it up, I asked if I may have the receipt emailed and she called out another email address. She sounded incredulous as if I don't know my classic 1990s Yahoo email that I've had since freshmen year. Anywhoo, I'm not the Gmail girl. We have our school email for Life so I use it for business. My point: let's not be testy like I don't know my email. Anywhoo...I, in turn, made it easier for her in this moment: Rather than spell out the school email we'll just slap yahoo on there and be done. Tbh, her response bothered me more than the office lack of follow-up once the denial arrived. C'est la vié. Yes, I can recommend Dr. S for the work seen on others and his let's get it done attitude. The ladies in consult are physicians in training but I don't care for the iPhone being the item used to take personal pictures.

Butt implant surgery has a high rate of complications, and you need an honest, ethical physician there for you if something goes wrong. In my experience, this person is NOT Dr. Shifrin. It's possible he's able to maintain a veneer of civility in cases where nothing goes wrong. Unfortunately my experience was similar to the other negative reviews on this site. Dr. Shifrin tore straight through my muscle in the first operation, then misled me about what happened, further deceived me into signing an agreement under the FALSE PRETENSE that he would create a new implant pocket to fix things and make good on his word from the initial consult regarding the lift and liposuction. NONE of this happened. He kept my 17500, and MY BUTT CHEEKS ARE NOW 2 DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES. The R. cheek looks almost clefted when I lie on my side, with a hard disc visible projecting through the muscle. In a type of reverse BBL, he removed fat from my upper butt cheek and accentuated the deformity of the mispositioned implant. My RECOMMENDATION for out-of-towners is to go with DR GREGORY WIENER instead of Dr. Shifrin. Dr. Wiener charges 2K less than Dr. Shiffrin for butt implants and 4K less than what Dr. Shiffrin charged me for a combined set of procedures. Dr. Wiener's practice is located very close to ORD airport, near Rosemont, and Rosemont has one of the best fashion outlet malls in the country. I don't know many other malls have a Brunello Cuccinelli, Gucci, Prada, Moncler, Burberry OUTLET inside the same building. It's a really upscale area, with fine dining and nice hotels. I only received a virtual consult and quotes through Dr. Wiener, so my recommendation is based solely off the highly negative experience I had by electing to go with Dr. Shifrin instead. In fact, I'm probably going to have to pay Dr. Wiener or someone else to correct the twice failed set of operations performed by Dr. Shifrin. PLEASE GOOGLE DR DAVID SHIFRIN IN RELATION TO LEGAL CASES. He's sued "78" others to suppress negative reviews. There are probably many others who have been in the same position as me, whose reviews never made it online to protect others. I've come across several similar stories across other platforms, including RealSelf, which is one of the most popular. Lastly, please don't believe any of the hype on Dr. Shifrin's expensively curated webpage. If anyone reading this review has had a similar experience, DO NOT BELIEVE HIS OFFER TO REVISE his mistakes, instead TAKE THE MONEY and file complaints with the AMA, IL medical licensing board and any other outlet, including media outlets and review platforms. He showed up to work with bloodshot eyes on the day of my initial surgery, reeking of smoke and possibly other intoxicants. I'm uncertain if this contributed to all of the errors and his hostility toward me, but he should take the time to detox if he's struggling with addiction issues, instead of behaving belligerently and aggressively toward his patients.

One day, I decided to overuse a specific acne product and let's just say it didn't turn out well. Those specific spots I placed the product created a deep pitted lesion which is now classified as a "boxcar" scar. My skin was irritated, texture wasnt the best, and still had active acne. My self-esteem was torn and I needed help. I called and spoke to Lucas who wanted to help me and got me in at the earliest appointment. Upon arrival, the staff was accommodating and were so helpful, respectful, and personable. They collectively made the check-in/insurance process so easy. I met the Dermatologist and his assessment was clear, concise, and provided topical and oral medication the same day. I asked multiple meticulous questions and he elucidated educational responses. He prescribed me medication for the active and hormonal acne I had, and put me on a consistent facial basis. I noticed the biggest difference in the texture of my skin and my acne went down. As far as the lesions, they are still healing, but the deeply pitted hole I made in my skin is now a month away from being even with the rest of my skin. MIND YOU, this is just a month of treatment and I've noticed a 180. The facials were done by a marvelous woman who's in Medical School I think. She's skilled, knows her stuff, and provided excellent facials tailored to my skins needs. Overall, the staff blew me away and so did the dermatologist. I recommend this office to my family and friends and I honestly never want to go anywhere else--neither should you.

She called the office and they said they would not give it to her unless she paid another $50 which is what they charge to give a pre-authorization!! This was just a money grab. So on top of the $90 prescription she was made to pay another $50 out of pocket to the office for them to do a pre-authorization! Not only was this clown dermatologist, unprofessional, dismissive, and rude, he is also a money grabber, charging to pre-authorize a prescription he actually prescribed! The "examination "which she had waited for an appointment for, took exactly 5 minutes. He did not do any kind of evaluation.
