Love Sharestuff! Whenever we're in the Thrifting mood we always make it a point to stop here. We've bought everything from clothes to furniture to video games here. The stock is always changing, and they offer just about anything you could ever want, from jewelry to musical instruments to golf clubs, so be sure to check back often if they don't have what you're looking for at the moment. Some of the inventory that doesn't seem to change is their selection of mattresses, which are a great value and comfortable, my family has bought several. Another surprise find was used Titleist Pro V1 golf balls for a great deal. Staff is usually friendly and all the proceeds go to helping Rockford and the surrounding community. Pass. Love the clothing location, but the home goods location is lackluster and overpriced on many items. The inventory is on par with Goodwill, Salvation Army, and similar places. I'm new to the area so I'm not used to the thrift stores here. I don't look at clothing so this is not a review on clothing. They had a lot of china sets that are eBay prices. Also a lot of furniture that was in poor shape which is okay if it's priced accordingly. However, this place is way overpriced. I understand they give money to charity, but let's be realistic. You could go to a resale shop and spend the same money and get good quality stuff in much better shape. An example: there were 2 60s overstuffed pink, covered in pet hair and stained. They need reupholstery, period. The prices were like 30 each. I'd say 20 for the pair. Maybe they will haggle ( I didn't try)? Some of the tables should have just been thrown out because they weren't repairable. It was clean and well lit, but a lot of people were loitering around the front desk. Not so good. They said all CDs are 25 cents and then I brought up a "more valuable" cd and they saw it and the "manager" wanted to look on eBay to charge me more for it, after I said no, I don't want it he said how about $5.00. Appalling business practices! read more

Really like exploring all the treasures and surprises that show up at this store. It's amazing and can be anything -- precious European china, vintage furniture, a brand new designer sofa, solid wood furniture (sometimes vintage), all sorts of tabletop appliances, etc. Also like dropping things off that I no longer use (or never did). Overall the store provides what most of us our looking for, which is used primarily used items at a savings than buying new. As thrift stores go I've found some nice pick-ups. My review however is base on their mattress sales. We've bought two, the twin basic, no problems and very pleased. The other is a full basic, and it's moldy. We tried to live with it for the last three months hoping we could air it out. No such luck. Spoke with Becky (store manager?) and with a lot of skepticism she allowed us to exchange our moldy mattress for one that's heavily sprayed with and air freshener. Some of these mattresses clearly have odor issues. It will be hard to detect this at the store as it's a roomy well aired store. In the confines of a 10' x 13' foot bedroom it is a problem. Just picked up the mattress with the air freshener today, so not sure how this one will be in the long run. If we'd have known this we'd have spent the x-tran money at sears. If you buy a mattress here to save money consider keeping the plastic covers on it. Disappointed, read more
