I ordered it that way due to a peanut allergy, and THANKFULLY my throat didn't swell too badly, so I didn't need to go to the hospital. The area inside and everything was relatively clean, and staff were nice, but with poor communication like this I cannot give anything more than one star. My life could have been at risk.

Having ran a coffee shop in a previous life, I am fairly picky when it comes to the coffee used and how a barista makes a drink. The customer service is great. I have to say that I have never encountered a Scooter's barista, at any location, with an attitude problem. For a coffee shop, that is a huge plus! I want coffee, not politics. Coffee shops are expensive as it is, but now that they have changed their recipe to include 2 shots in a small latte, I am able to justify getting a special coffee more often.

If you love strong and sweet coffee, come here!! I discovered 1893 thanks to social media and word of mouth. I knew the coffee was great because after the first sip, I started drinking it like water. So good, smooth, and strong! 1893 has easily landed in my top 3 coffee spots in Lincoln. I can't comment too much on the ambiance because I used the drive through. They have a menu outside, but currently (February 2026) the speaker isn't working. Customers have to order at the window. However, it wasn't a big deal. My drink was ready in less than 5 minutes. Employees were very friendly and made my drink perfectly. I'd love to come back and enjoy the inside of their space. It looked cute, cozy and quaint inside. It might be the perfect place to work, relax and enjoy a good cup of joe. 10 out of 10 recommend 1893 coffee and cream!
