What threw me was the person who seemed to be doing nails in the corner (truthfully, I would have loved her services, but didn't have the time). Family-owned business, I assume. I loved the little bookshelf/reading nook area. I had the Chai, which was decent. I got the Italian soda on my way out. It was interesting, in a good way, and refreshing. And most of the times I still have to wait inside before that sticker is placed on the cup of coffee to be made!!!

The variety is excellent - whatever you like in coffee, whether you know what you want and stick to it or you're a novice, trying to find your thing or you're adventurous, looking for a new thing... they have it. But that's not why I give this place 5 stars. The space itself is excellent. It's comfortable, cozy and inviting, despite a tricky location. It's well designed and lit and has a giant window to view that actual roaster. But that's not why I give it five stars. The people love coffee... Like, they looooooove coffee! And they know coffee. I went in and they said "How can we help you?" And I said "I want to buy coffee, but I don't know what I want." And both employees lit up. They know the coffee language AND how to explain it to a novice without making you feel like a novice. And the more feedback you give, the better their next suggestion will be. The team here is camped right at the intersection of passion and knowledge and their love for it is contagious. I look forward to emptying a bag - yes, because it's delicious - but also so I can go in and talk to them again!
