The amount of dishonesty I was faced with while dealing with this company is surreal. The individual I spoke to was Joe M. Ill leave his last name out for privacy reasons. Im doing a whole review of this company on my youtube. Im sure by the time you see this if you search for Stay away from shark coatings in youtube, youll find my video. I have video and audio proof that the salesman TOLD me that cracks were covered under warranty. This all changed basically overnight. He told me the contract he had me sign was just for fun. Interesting right? So I confirmed that the cracks were covered multiple times and he was very persistent and told me yes. However the next day when he was supposed to call me between 4:30 and 5, he never did. So I reached out to him and his response was this -"Hi Jai. To be honest, I don't think Shark is going to be a good fit for your needs. If you'd like to sit back down to re-negotiate a fair deal on your driveway job, I'd be happy to do that but unfortunately the promotional pricing (initial visit discount) I offered you last week is no longer going to be valid. My apologies. I appreciate your interest. " So basically he reneged on the deal. Why isnt it valid? Because you lied about the square footage of my driveway to your boss? Did you read all the signs saying you were being audibly and video recorded? When you read all the negative reviews on yelp and BBB youll see they make a lot of promises they dont follow thru on. I first liked my new coating. After about 3 months, I noticed a crack in the coating. Since I was told by their sales person, that it was guarenteed against, cracks, chipping, peeling, and fading, for 10 years, I called the company. The sales representative explained that the 22-foot crack in my driveway was minor and would be repaired at a line item cost of $235.00. I expressed my concern that their contract did not warranty cracks and that I wanted to be sure that there would be no issues should the crack return. One month after the installation was completed, the crack returned. Shark Skin Coating wouldn't return my calls and did respond for months after. The product is good, my garage looks great....but the customer service is extremely questionable. I was told by the representative who came out to my house that any referrals for the product would result in a $100 check to me as long as the referral was under contract. I referred a neighbor who had her garage completed also. When I inquired about the referral check I was told by Shark Coatings that they do not give checks for referrals. I was told they are not responsible for what their representatives say or promise. Really? Do not, and I repeat, do not trust what the Shark representatives tell you, the company will not back it up. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! When the rep came out he assured us the flooring would NOT be slippery. Has job done & it's very slippery. After NUMEROUS attempts. I got from the rep saying no problem we will make it right. He said they probably just put too much top coat on. We will put down more sand & lightly coat it. Well that vever happened. After finally getting return call again he stated it was turned over to management. Management "Bruno" reached out to tell us any surface that is wet is slippery. Beautiful work on the garage floor. The worst service after they have your money of any company that I have contracted with. Word to the wise: Pay your deposit by check (not electronically) and hold off paying the final payment until they repair the damage they do to your property. This is in your best interest because, once they have your money, Service Management is non-existent. I notice that almost every review has had a negative experience with service after the sale. I really preferred to talk with management about my concerns, but the phone number only had a recorded message and I could not get to an actual human being. Because it was so exasperating to not reach a person, I decided to share my frustrations on Yelp. I had my garge floor coated yesterday. This is the second project I have had done by Shark and I have another one scheduled to be done in the near future. Both completed projects look very nice. The problem is the condition of the driveway where the workers organized their gear. It was left a TOTAL MESS. Today is being spent cleaning up millions of color chips in the grass, mortar spaces between bricks, everywhere! The first job was left perfectly clean and completed in about 6-7 hours. The second job took 10 hours for the same amount of sq footage and apparently no effort was put into clean-up. I am now reconsidering whether to use Shark for the 3rd project. Life is busy, Shark Coating is not cheap and having to clean up after workmen should not have to happen. Professionalism is expected. read more

We had Shark Coatings install their product in our garage in August of 2021. After 18 months the finish was pitted and the top sealant coat had eroded leaving a very rough finish. We called several times to have the company look at the floor, we even sent them photos of the damaged area. Unfortunately, they did not respond. We recently noticed that our neighbor was having their garage floor finished, we asked the young man working on the job to have a look at our floor. He confirmed that the product had failed, took his own pictures and assured us that they would take care of the problem. Since April Shark Coating has done such a bad job on my patio they have had to come and redo my patio 3 times and now they have to come out again for the 4th time to fix it again. For over a month I have been requesting to speak to the general manager. Each I am promised I will receive a phone call by end of day from Ed the general manager. This has not happened, I call everyday now requesting the same thing and I am promised the same thing. No-one ever calls back. I do not recommend this company ! Save your money because once they have your money, they don't care about anymore. I have lost total respect for anyone who works for this company. They came and repaired which I was impressed by that but They did the wrong color and I called to ask to fix it and they said they would for a charge. Their mistake and I have to pay. I would not recommend this company or product. Shark Coating was installed a year ago in our garage and our driveway. It didn't even last the year. The driveway, under the direct sun has already started to fade and looks horrible. Cracks in the finish have also started to form. I called the company three times before I got a call back. When they did finally respond they were confrontational, dismissive and went out of there way to explain why they wouldn't honor the warranty or support the product. The fading covers a quarter of the driveway and looks horrible from the street. This wasn't cheap either. Complete waste of money. read more

JD and Josean were on time, polite, professional and kind. The guys explained their process and answered my questions. Then they got to work! JD and Josean were very prepared and worked well as a team. This takes most of the day (depending on area size) and they were baking in the heat but just kept going. Before finishing, they asked me how much texture I'd like (good to have choices). Since I elected to do an area that we didn't want any traffic or deliveries on, they even put up caution tape proactively. My garage and front door stoop are gorgeous and I couldn't be happier! We had our back patio concrete slab covered by Shark Coatings just over a year ago. At the time of estimate they took pictures of slab and cracks and we asked would the cracks come back after the put down the coating, we were told NO. (On their website it also states this: (I copied and pasted it from their website) Step 2 (go to "Why Us" and scroll down to "Our time-tested concrete process and look at Step 2) "We'll then go in and repair any cracks or damaged areas needing extra attention". With all that said, only a couple of months after Shark Coatings finished our patio held water in several places and they told us they would give us a squeegee so we could use to get water out of those areas. Then a few months ago (before the year mark) cracks came up in several places of the coating. We contacted Shark Coatings and they said they would come out once and put an epoxy sealant on the cracks one time to fix the cracks. Well it did not fix it and the cracks are where the cracks were before the coating was put down. I went back to the contract they emailed me showing the pictures they took and they are the same cracks coming through. We contacted they about this and was told they would give us a discount to redo the patio. They said the contract says they are not responsible for cracks, which it does and their websites says they are...very misleading. We paid a lot for this to be done and I'm not paying again to redo it. To anyone reading this and want to use Shark Coatings, make sure to get everything in writing and do not let them make you sign a contract on an iPad in full sun. These guys are awesome. We recently purchased a home with their product already installed last year. Once I removed the garage sink, there was a small bare spot that was very unsightly. I called them up for an estimate for this very small job. They came out, took a look, and filled in the spot for nothing! Chalked it up to good customer service.
