The stylist attempted what looked like a fade using trimmers and scissors, but the result was far from acceptable. What was even more concerning was learning that it was the stylist's first day. Another employee acknowledged that she had received no training and the stylist herself told us that she had never cut a child's hair before, but was put on the schedule because someone else called out. It is incredibly irresponsible for management to place an inexperienced, untrained employee in that position especially when working with young children. My son was kept in the chair for over 30 minutes while the stylist repeatedly tried to hold his head still and correct mistakes. For a toddler haircut, that is excessive and unnecessarily stressful. By the end, his hair had been completely butchered, and the experience was upsetting for all of us. The delay also impacted other customers. Several families were waiting well past their appointment times, and I witnessed one family canceling their appointment as we were leaving. The issue here isn't just a bad haircuf, it's poor management, lack of training, and a complete disregard for customers' time. The front of the place was has 2 seats for toddlers while the backroom was for the older kids. The place was clean and warm for the winter months so you don't have to worry about your child being cold taking off an extra layer the cut. It was such a good experience and they saved a lock of his hair with a certificate for him as his first hair cut experience. I came on Sunday which provided ample parking and the haircut lasted about 20 mins. I was so nervous he wasn't going to sit for it, but it ended up being a wonderful experience. Upon entering, you're brought into a super welcoming, kid friendly zone. It's bright and colorful, there are cool cars to sit in, cartoons on the TV's, and they even have toys to purchase if your little one needs something to hold onto during the process. We were greeted by Yudi, who came up to my son excited and full of energy, and from that point we were good. She listened to what we wanted (I'm not ready to cut all of his hair off just yet), and she was so great with him. It was a great experience for everyone. After he was done, they took a picture that they printed out on the spot and attached it to a first haircut certificate that included a bit of his hair. We were so excited to receive this keepsake.
