We brought our daughter here for her 1st haircut. This place is truly amazing. My daughter had such a great time being pampered. She got her hair washed, cut and dried. She looked adorable with her haircut. Our stylist was Deven, and she is a beautiful angel, who was patient and so kind the whole time. Deven did an amazing job on the cut and made sure we were satisfied. This place is super cute and aesthetically pleasing. They have cute cars for kids to sit in while they get their services done, they take a before and after photo of your kid, give you a certificate, they get a balloon and a lollipop at the end. Made appointment for my 4yr old son to have haircut. Arrived 20minutes early and found sign of "out to lunch be back soon. " 45 minutes later, still nobody there. Made an appointment elsewhere and after haircut at another place drove by and found no one there with still sign on door (90 minutes after original scheduled time) Horrible customer service! I really wanted to like this experience. This place is just another run of the mill baby hair-cutting factory. With little to zero customer service or any real genuine care for children. Candace, our hairstylist, seemed to be very annoyed with us. She sighed heavily when we had to move our squirmy son to my lap, she told us first haircuts "take practice. From child AND parents". How exactly am I supposed to practice a "first" of anything? She was judgmental and rude and not the slightest bit interested in calming our son. Just kept right on cutting like an imposed Edward scissor hands with an even worse attitude. Then she tried to take his after picture to print out, and she got a photo of his chin, not his hair at all. And it was blurry. I will NEVER go to one of these places ever again. I could've done a better haircut myself. And these stylists needs to find better jobs if they hate children so much. read more

We spontaneously decided to get professional haircuts on a late Saturday afternoon (instead of cutting them at home) and looked up the nearest kid salon in the area. Noticed that this was the same salon as one we had passed several times in Southlake, and decided to give them a try. Called on the way over to see if they were busy, and had time to cut our hair. After some slight hesitation, they said we could come right in. Christina and Monique were there to cut our kids' hair. They were quick, were good with the kids, and did a great job. They did have another walk-in about 10mins before closing, but still worked to squeeze them in. We all walked out about 10-15min after closing. Luckily we didn't have a similar experience to the last reviewer, but if that had happened to me I'd be unhappy too. I would say that they could use a little more training/practice on marketing/sales/rapport. These two ladies seemed a little more reserved at first (and seemed a little hesitant about the the late walk-ins...kind of a "what do we do?!" not-quite-panic) but they were able to get it done in a professional manner. And once we got chatting with them during our visit, they were super friendly and chatty, and it was great to get to know them! So if they could be a little more outgoing and open from the get-go, that'd be great! $20 for a kid cut, $18 for dad, plus a tip for each cut. We're very happy with our cuts and will probably be back in a month or two. Salon was clean, maintained, and pretty compact. Glad they were empty when we first arrived...could feel pretty cramped if filled with people. read more

We were very excited about getting my daughters hair cut so we came here today. Since walk ins are welcome we did not schedule an appointment. When we came in, no one acknowledged us- and they didn't when we stepped up to the counter either. There was hair ALL OVER this place, it was filthy. There was a grown man getting a hair cut and then THREE employees standing around doing nothing. They told us they couldn't get us in... for a TRIM. When they had THREE employees doing absolutely nothing. We are so disappointed but now understand the ratings they have. read more

We love this location! I bring my three boys here and they love it too. The studio is very kid friendly with kids bop music and video games for the kids to play. The staff is great and very accommodating. The studio is also very clean and tidy! Such an important detail for me! My boys have mixed hair but all very different texture. We are very particular about how they get their hair cut and it took a long time to find someone consistently good. My grandson had an appointment at 3:15, its 3:40 and we are still waiting, why make appointments if you overbook and can't keep them? He is 22 months old waiting for any amount of time is ridiculous. Took son for first haircut. Asked for ONLY A TRIM and to use scissors only. She said clippers would work best blah blah. I said ok but still didn't want it short.... The lady cut his hair the shortest possible, like seriously short for a 1 year old... and when I said a few times ok that's good length, or ok I think that's short enough she just kept cutting lol just terrible honestly. Thank goodness it's hair and will grow back, but they obviously need to learn better customer service. While I was waiting for our turn, One of the other stylists that was there cutting hair was pretty rude to a little girl because she was on the hyper side, like zero patience... shouldn't be cutting kids hair if you're not going to be patient. LOVED it. Monique and Jackie were working when we came. Jackie cut my son's hair EXACTLY how I wanted it. She's amazing. They were friendly, the experience was great and I dont know why everybody else is mad about the price... $20 really isn't bad when your kid gets to sit in a cool chair, play video games, watch tv, gets the whole kids experience (they were even playing kids bop - love it) and they're getting a balloon and a sucker afterwards. I love the shark concept and that they have a batmobile, my sons favorite! My biggest complaint is that my 3 year old was seen 20 mins past his appointment, and not even by the stylist they said was going to see him. Another stylist finished the appointment she had when we walked in, did another 3 year olds hair cut, saw we still hadn't been taken care of and went ahead and cut our sons hair before taking on her next client. The stylist that was supposed to cut my sons hair wasn't finished with the person before us until half way thru my sons hair cut with the other stylist and then took over for the receptionist to be able to take her lunch. The receptionist during our visit was very nice, great with the kids and parents, and seemed great at her job. She ended up turning away walk ins due to them running behind on appointments and well ended up going on her break right before we went to check out unfortunately for us ... so the stylist who was supposed to cut his hair ended up checking us out and we had to remind her about the ice cream promotion that they were running, and my son didn't get the balloon that every other kid had gotten from the receptionist that had just left. Not a great first impression, but I will give them another shot ... possibly with an earlier in the day appointment ... and I may give the southlake location a shot as they didn't seem busy at all the two times I was in that shopping center vs this one that always seems packed and likely to run behind on appointments. read more

The staff was so sweet, patient and understanding while he wiggled and cried. He looks adorable and they did a great job. I called and set an appointment for my 8 year older daughter last Friday. I'd been to a kids place before but this place exceeded our expectations! There were 3 young girls working and all of them were highly professional. Excellent customer service and seemed to run a tight but smooth shop. I not once saw either not doing anything or playing on their phone considering their age. They washed, cut, blow dried her hair and to top it off they painted her nails!! My husband and I made an appointment with Candice (I believe that was her name) for my son's first hair cut, he's 17 months. They were packed on a Sunday and we expected a long wait but they honored our appointment and waited less than 5 minutes. They had toys and TV's to occupy kids during the wait, which was awesome. We got him the first haircut package that came with a certificate, a photo, a lock of hair, and a balloon. Candice was amazing with our son, who is normally pretty anxious around strangers. He got to play in a police car and watch Mickey mouse on TV while his stylist talked to him and asked him about the show. She was great when he randomly started bouncing and dancing to the songs on TV and didn't miss a beat. His hair cut came out super cute. I was a few minutes late to my son's haircut appointment because someone had an accident in front of me. When I arrived I was told that they only budget 15 minutes for a boys haircut and since I was a few minutes late they would not have enough time. The next appointment available was in 1.5 hours. I asked if we could be a walk in and wait for the next available hairdresser but I was told they were all booked up. There was one family waiting and I saw one hairdresser on the floor working (cleaning up her station). I did not see the hairdresser that I booked so maybe she was taking a break. I went to wait in my car because I don't live close by and went on their website and saw several appointments available much sooner. Their website allowed me to book one. I called and told the receptionist that the website has appointments open and asked if they could take us sooner if we came back in. She told me no, that they had received several walk ins since I first walked in. I mentioned the online appointments and asked if the website was accurate and she said she didn't know anything about the website but they still could not take us. I cancelled the later appointment and left because this was too much trouble for a simple boys cut. Took my son to Sports Clips and his haircut was great and finished before the appointment time that Sharkeys was willing to give to me. read more

I typically make an appointment online before leaving the house and can head straight there and my son is first up (they honor appointments over walk-ins). We loved Jacqui and Haylie so far. Took my 3 year old daughter here for my first hair cut. I was unsure how she would behave but she loved it! Monique did a great job explaining what she was going to do and working around her playing in the Frozen car. I never thought my kiddo would love being pampered so much. I couldn't find prices so I'll let you know the first hair cut package was $25. She washed, conditioned, cut, dried and styled her hair. Then painted her nails. Also got a picture to commemorate the occasion, a certificate, lollipop and balloon. Really a great experience and I felt like it was worth it. I believe they said normal cut is $22 and comes with everything mentioned above but the picture and certificate. We will be back for the next cut! read more

This rating is based on customer service. The sign on the door welcomes walk ins but the staff is not aware of it. I was told that if I didn't make an appointment we would not receive service. I figured it was a just a misunderstanding so I took her back today and was told again that my daughter had lice.
