I love this shop. The creativeness that these artist have is amazing. I've gotten 4 tattoos from Santi. One was a cover up and what she envisioned and created was incredible. The others are smaller but her line work is awesome. She has a unique way of shading and bringing to life back ground, I get so many compliments on it! I recommend her to friends and have people ask me for her info frequently. All around a very comfortable shop with people you can tell enjoy what they do and enjoy working with each other. read more

To this day, I have never gotten a call or text back from them about paying the display cases they stole from us. You would think they are genuine nice people, but people do not see for who they really are. They make up these stories so that you can go down on price of what you are selling. Mind you they were a great set of display cases. I would of been better off selling them elsewhere if I knew I was never going to get paid for the display cases. They waited for the perfect opportunity when I went to bathroom to take off with the display cases. I really hope they don't treat their customers the same way. read more

The owner, Todd (I think) is probably the rudest artist I've ever dealt with. Talks down to me, mostly because I'm a woman I feel - didn't even want to listen to my ideas and to be honest - glad I didn't follow through as his work really is subpar. He seemed very impatient like I was inconveniencing him with my design and ideas. Also noticed he seemed to talk to others on the phone with complete distain. I've worked with many artist who were far nicer and better artists. Won't be recommending this artist/business to anyone. read more

This place is great! I was able to get in for a quick appointment on short notice. Everyone I spoke to was very nice and Jess did an amazing job with my piercing. The interior of the shop itself is cool and very clean! I definitely recommend stopping by. Sounds like they will be moving locations in the near future but it's not too far from their current spot. I got permanent cosmetics by Jessica. Attached is an image of my results 6 weeks fully healed. I am completely devastated by what she has done. I am undergoing laser removal from what she has put on my face. Image is listed for reference. Do not trust Jessica with any form of ink in your skin. Consider seeking someone who knows what they are doing. Do not give this woman an opportunity to destroy your face or skin. I don't leave negative reviews ever, but please save yourself the grief. She offered to put lighter ink in the dark spots she put on my face to potentially(?) lighten what she has done to me. I have opted for laser removal. Do NOT let this woman put ink in your skin. Needless to say I do NOT recommend getting permanent cosmetics or any from Jessica Charkey. read more

I had a great experience here! I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to impulsively get my nose repierced. I walked up to the door and noticed that they weren't taking walk-ins, and Marcus welcomed me in and tried to see if we could arrange an appointment for later on in the day. Jess just so happened to have a break during one of her tattoo appointments and told me that she had no problem squeezing me in for the piercing. I was super grateful for her flexibility! I can't say enough good things about my experience yesterday. Jess is absolutely fucking amazing. She was thorough, patient and understanding in terms of my wants and needs. She's also passionate about what she is doing which makes a world of a difference. I have gotten my brows done many times before and the service she provided to me yesterday was outstanding and can't be beat. I won't be going anywhere else for my brows EVER again. She also helped me with my belly button piercing that had been creating some issues. Outside of Jess, the rest of the staff were very warm and welcoming and I can't wait to go back for my touch up! We had an unforgettable experience at Sharkys and we can't thank Sharky, Jordan, and Christian enough. We were a group of 5 getting a memorial tattoo late on a Friday night: they were accommodating, kind, and truly went above and beyond to make our experience the very best it could be. It's obvious that they take pride in their work and that they care for their clients and community. They made us feel like we were old friends instead of customers. Just got back from getting a line-up. I asked for an even buzz all around without a fade, and a line-up around the edges.. basic line up hair cut in my 33 years of experience. Without understanding how much hair she was taking off, this is the most bald I've ever been.. I wasn't going for the scalp look and now that's what I have.. and I'm not happy with the line up either. The work was not clean. It was my first experience and unfortunately will be my last. This is typically a $15-$20 haircut; $25 at high end barber/salons. I WAS CHARGED $35. I couldn't believe it. Honestly, a terrible experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Vibes were screaming heavy metal music I might add. Worst haircut experience I've had in decades. read more

Made an appointment weeks in advance for a hair appointment. The stylest never showed up for the appointment once I got a hold of her she had forgotten about the appointment and was not willing to make the situation better and try to make another appointment or give me lower rate. However, if I were to miss the appointment I would have been charged a cancellation fee! How does that make sense?
