NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!!! my nail tech was talking to another girl the whole time while doing my nails and it seemed like they were laughing at me. then he proceeded to get mad at me for asking to trim my nails a little shorter; he literally said "ugh" and fell back into his chair! on top of that, my nails popped off the next day!!! i payed $90 for that!!!! read more

Spent $83 on a full set and two nails popped off the very next day. That alone is unacceptable. The service was just as bad. The technician literally said "shit" under his breath while doing my nails, clearly after messing up. Another tech came over mid-service and started critiquing the work, which says everything about the quality here. Unprofessional, sloppy, and not worth the money. I was a walk in. I am from out of town and had some time. Although they were moderately busy they got me in immediately. I liked that the tech that did my nails was the same one that did my pedicure. I requested a fill and pedicure. I chose my color and the owner came over to clarify what I chose to ensure it would be to my liking. ( and I wouldn't have!). So he assisted me in getting a color and style that I want. Angel did a great job. Recommend this place. read more

I had seen a woman in the supermarket whose nails looked like what I wanted, & literally stopped to ask her about where she had gotten them done. She raved about this place, so I made an app't. I ended up getting both a pedi & mani, with the same technician. (I wish I could remember her name, but she was warm, internationally-switched on & a good conversationalist.) She gave me a lovely dip mani which has lasted a MONTH, & a great pedi too. The only comment I would make that's a bit critical is that I don't like the crowded sort of "factory-like" nail salon environments, & that is what this is. However, despite that, everyone was very nice, very polite & the prices were good. I would definitely go back. read more

My regular nail person had to cancel last minute so I went here. It's an assembly line kind of place with lots of manicurists and chairs. They move you through quickly. I also wondered if they clean their tools between customers, but so far my nails are fine. They did a good job on both my hands and feet and didn't try to upsell me. Overall, I'd go back, but only if my regular person wasn't available, just because I don't like the crowd and the assembly line. It was certainly less expensive than where I normally go. read more

absolutely loved designer nails!! every time I went, Kyle was fantastic and quick to make an appt work - make sure you call ahead for an appointment!! I got dip sets and pedicures, both were always great, no matter who I went to. if anything chipped or broke, they got me in same day to fix for no cost. love love love! read more

Had been going here for years with my mom, but in recent visits the service and the technicians have been awful. Constantly scraping my nails beds and causing me to bleed. One tech even went so far as to accuse me of stealing from them when I had brought my own nail polish from home and was applying lip gloss during my service. First place i have been in Longmont. I came because they had good reviews. They are fast and efficient. I got dip and loved it and felt like they were so thorough and took time to do a good job. The owner runs this like a well oiled machine and makes sure every client walking out is happy. It is super busy because they take care of their customers but if you are looking for a quiet relaxing nail spot, this is not it. They do a good job but it is buzzing all the time. read more

I have gone to this place probably 5 times now to get acrylics and the last 2 times I have gone, my fingers have been extremely itchy and start to develop blisters on my cuticles and underneath my nails. After getting it checked, it was found I have contact dermatitis. thinking back, both times I have watched the ladies doing my nails grab drill bits from containers labeled dirty. This last time I took my nails off because of the pain and my fingers just look gross. I really loved the work they can do here but having bloody fingers is just not worth it. I love the service I get here every time.. I have been coming here since I moved from TX (4 years). I always make sure to schedule an appointment, as they are very busy and is recommended. Mary is the best technician, in my opinion. She does a great job on my gel manis and pedis. She also does a great dip set!! First off... Guy was so nice, I love Guy cava that's why I come here, he immediately without hesitation. Smelled so good in there. I got yelled at twice but honestly i deserved it. After getting yelled at, i picked my color promptly but i couldn't just hangout I had a doctors appointment to get to. i wish i could've though, it smelled so good in there. SUPER GENTLE - just had to add. Like seriously, my fingers guys! Really good. I was in there for A WHILE, but enjoyed every second of it cause it smelled quite lovely in there. That's vegas baby. Upon checking out, and leaving a GENEROUS tip, I was overwhelmed by a feeling of both love and relaxation. This is NOT their first rodeo, so nice and SO gentle. Quite therapeutic. Unfortunately the staff was very rude to me. Speaking another language and very clearly talking about me, at one point people turned to look at my directly after he spoke. It was the most uncomfortable pedicure of my life, I almost got up and walked out but was heading to the beach the next day and wanted painted nails. These guys are always busy with the owners yelling at everyone and directing traffic. It's sad they get so much business with such poor customer service. I won't be back, just wish there was another place in Longmont that was decent. read more

If you're looking for a pampering pedicure, this is NOT the place. The technician, Ewa, obviously hated doing pedicures and acted put out that she had to do one. She spent about 1/3 of the time checking her phone and rarely paid attention to what she was doing. She scrubbed one leg forever, and the other for maybe a minute. The "massage" was her just going through the motions, mainly on my shins and I had to ask her to move the hot rocks to my calves. I watched some of the other pedicures and they were getting better service, so maybe it was just Ewa hates doing pedicures. If you want fancy fingernails, this is a good spot (strong chemical smell), but they are a weird combination of pushy and friendly. My chair had holes in it, but the others were in good condition. The tools were clean and well maintained. Getting a pedicure is a luxury for me, so this was a bad fit and I won't be returning. read more

I went to treat myself before Christmas to a gel pedicure and manicure. BIG MISTAKE!! I never go and this is what happened!!!! 2 weeks after my big toenail got infected. After 2.5 weeks of antibiotics I had to have part of my nail removed!!! I'm back on antibiotics months later... they said I'm going to lose my nail but the x-ray showed no bone infection. They cut my nails so short, and didn't clean things that the doctor thinks that's what caused the infection,and ingrown toenail... be careful! read more

I recently moved so I wanted to find a good nail place. I came to this place because it was highly rated. They did a good job with my pedicure but the was not great, the woman doing my pedicure was texting and watching YouTube videos while she was doing my pedicure. She kept putting her phone in her shirt and taking it out and finding a place to set it while she did my nails. It felt like she was rushing and kept hitting the nail lamp with her body which kept touching my freshly painted nails. The pedicure looked good but I wish I had a better experience just felt like I was being rushed when I just wanted to relax. Going to keep looking in Longmont for better service. read more

Absolutely love going to Designer Nails. All of the technicians are wonderful but, in my opinion, Mary is the best. Walk-ins are welcome but appointments fill up fast so definitely best to make an appointment ahead of time. I do feel like they often try to accommodate but making an appointment makes things a lot easier. My daughter and I go in for pedicures on Mother's Day (or near that day), it's my favorite tradition with her. I know they do more (like waxing) but have never tried them for those services. This is the worst mani/pedi experience I've ever had. The tech filed my nails so short they bled and she superglued the cut (so incredibly painful) she kept chastising me for having short nails. Then she grated my feet so much they bled. My nails looked like a 6th grader did them they were so uneven and even though they were dip they chipped off in less than a week and destroyed my nails. Paid $120 to be abused by this place a few days after my parent died and I was trying to treat myself. Shame on this place and shame on the tech who has NO business doing nails. read more

Great every time! i made sure to try this place at least a few times before leaving a review. Ive had 2 dip manicures and a gel pedicure. All 3 were great. I had different people everytime I went too. Finding a nail salon that is reasonbly priced with techs that do a good job is truthfully exhausting. i used to drive all the way to RiNo for my nails and they charged me like $75 for a dip manicure. designer charges $45 and they do a great job. im really glad I tried this place!! read more

I have been going to designer nails for three years. I do think they do a good job but the atmosphere is chaotic and dirty. I make appointments every time I go for a gel and a pedicure which is 1.5 to 2 hrs. The last 3 times I have waited over 45 minutes because they don't pay attention to the appointment book. I've talked to him about it and today again I have a 9 o'clock appointment. I come all the time and at 9:01 he put someone else in the seat and asked me to wait until he's done with her gel nails. I am not paying for chaos and drama I just want to come in and get my nails done be relaxed and leave... I'm going to the competitor. read more

Months ago, I went in there with my two teenage daughters and they cut their cuticles until they were BLEEDING and then treated us all like crap when they were crying in pain. Now, my best friend - who NEVER CRIES - just left this establishment bawling because they treated her like such crap. All she wanted was her acrylics off and dip put on. I am with a group of women right now and they all agree "Anna" slaps your hand (she did it to my 50 year old friend AND my 15-year old daughter - years apart in service). This place is terrible. The first time I came in I was attended by the owner and he was great! He had me laughing and did a great job. I did get cut and he tried to stop the bleeding. It wasn't painful but my cuticle wouldn't stop even with the solution he put on it to make it stop. He did give me a discount which I appreciated. So I decide to come back again months later because my other nail tech is 40 mins away in Westminster. I was SO HAPPY to find Tina! She did my acrylics perfectly and thing and natural how I love it. She's going to be my go to for my fill ins because she pays attention to detail, and analyzes each nail before moving on. I'm happy now to stay closer to home and it's affordable!
