I got a quote from Windowfix.ca to repair the mechanism on four of my windows. They quoted me $815…read more which I thought was a bit steep, but nevertheless better than replacing the windows. When the technician got here he revised the quote because I had reported the four cranks were broken, whereas on some windows it was the lever mechanism. So the quote went to $1288. Reluctantly I agreed although some of the work actually looked simpler. When I reviewed the work, I found that one of the brackets was loose, and asked could he replace that bracket too. The brackets had been quoted at $25 bucks each. The technician went to the truck and returned to tell me he didn't have the bracket. I said no problem, come back when you have it. He told me "Well that's another visit so it will be $195. dollars to return. Now I was about to pay $1288. for two hours work and about fifty bucks worth of hardware, and now I had to pay another two hundred bucks for another service call because he doesn't have the right parts on the truck. A bit outrageous, all in all. I felt kind of gouged. I won't use this service again.

They really…read moreexplained to you what's going to be done how much it's gonna cost for whatever you're getting done and the fellow that they sent was really good. His name was Matthew. He was very polite. Very knowledgable and very good at working and doing the job correctly and within a good time. If you want to have your windows upgraded, but not replaced if there's things to be fixed around the window, they can do that and it's it's awesome because I cannot afford to buy all brand new windows so it was more or less cosmetic for a lot of the stuff I needed done. Great job guys. 10/10 for them.

Please Never Ever deal with Tony D. as your sales representative in Ontario…read more Our family had an extremely disappointing experience with him and it wasn't until the day of installation when Additional issues occurred, that I discovered countless other negative customer reviews about this same sales representative that I wish I had seen sooner. Tony repeatedly provided us with mis-information and contradicting information via text message, email, telephone and in person. His blatant arrogance, condescension, belligerence and extreme unprofessionalism in our own home to my elderly parents and via messages and phone conversations is more than enough for us to be left with such a poor experience and an unfortunate end to what was actually a wonderful job done by the Installers. Tony will raise his voice and become extremely aggressive when you question him about the contradicting information he provided. He will speak over you, become louder and louder and actually insult you on a personal level. Completely unacceptable! We have since heard from other's of their almost identical experiences with Tony. The customer service experience is what people remember most and it is extremely unfortunate that it has overshadowed what was supposed to be enjoyment of looking at our new windows and door at the end of the day.

I hired Canadian Choice Windows & Doors in Edmonton in April for a $16,400 window installation, and…read morethe experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The wrong windows were delivered for my basement bedrooms, yet I was pressured to make full payment before the mistake was corrected. Despite repeated instructions to salesman Arthur that the windows needed to extend 1.5 inches for future siding, they were installed incorrectly. Communication was consistently directed to my boyfriend and father--neither of whom live with me--instead of me, the homeowner who paid for the project. When the installation issues became clear, I was met with hostility and told the company would not honor the 25‑year warranty that was a major reason I chose them. Over the years, I've tried everything--messages, letters to the owner, reviews--to get this resolved. I was eventually blocked by the company. Recently, they contacted me through the BBB claiming they wanted to "make it right," but in reality they've skirted all responsibility. Today, I went to their showroom during posted business hours (Monday-Friday, 9-5) and found it closed. When I called, I was told to come back during regular hours. I explained it was 2:53 pm--well within those hours--and they repeated the same line before hanging up. This is the worst company for customer service I have ever dealt with. They do not stand by their commitments, their warranty, or their customers.
