Please Never Ever deal with Tony D. as your sales representative in Ontario. Our family had an extremely disappointing experience with him and it wasn't until the day of installation when Additional issues occurred, that I discovered countless other negative customer reviews about this same sales representative that I wish I had seen sooner. Tony repeatedly provided us with mis-information and contradicting information via text message, email, telephone and in person. His blatant arrogance, condescension, belligerence and extreme unprofessionalism in our own home to my elderly parents and via messages and phone conversations is more than enough for us to be left with such a poor experience and an unfortunate end to what was actually a wonderful job done by the Installers. Tony will raise his voice and become extremely aggressive when you question him about the contradicting information he provided. He will speak over you, become louder and louder and actually insult you on a personal level. Completely unacceptable! We have since heard from other's of their almost identical experiences with Tony. I hired Canadian Choice Windows & Doors in Edmonton in April for a $16,400 window installation, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The wrong windows were delivered for my basement bedrooms, yet I was pressured to make full payment before the mistake was corrected. Despite repeated instructions to salesman Arthur that the windows needed to extend 1.5 inches for future siding, they were installed incorrectly. Communication was consistently directed to my boyfriend and father--neither of whom live with me--instead of me, the homeowner who paid for the project. When the installation issues became clear, I was met with hostility and told the company would not honor the 25‑year warranty that was a major reason I chose them. Over the years, I've tried everything--messages, letters to the owner, reviews--to get this resolved. I was eventually blocked by the company. Recently, they contacted me through the BBB claiming they wanted to "make it right," but in reality they've skirted all responsibility. Today, I went to their showroom during posted business hours (Monday-Friday, 9-5) and found it closed. When I called, I was told to come back during regular hours. I explained it was 2:53 pm--well within those hours--and they repeated the same line before hanging up. This is the worst company for customer service I have ever dealt with. We had our windows installed in beginning of October 2025 and they ended up misleading us on what it would be like and they are the absolute worst windows ever. I HATE them! We have issues with them, the paint you can see is already from the day they installed is bubbling off and not adhering properly on every window installed, not to mention the streaks and improper window colour (ours we chose iron ore like a dark grey) Our patio door that is new with them doesn't lock properly and the net is already off . It's so cheaply made and feels like your going to break it just by touching the sliding door. Don't even get me started on how when you have the window open all you see is white frame, as opposed to the iron ore (grey) colour, it looks like patch job some parts grey somebparts white.... It looks like a joke house from the outside whenever the windows are open, like an epic fail! I would much rather prefer going back to my 40 year old windows then this new ones. It has been my worst nightmare and biggest stress dealing with their customer service and tech to try resolve the long list of issues. They have been unapologetic, they dont care they got their money and walked away, you literally have to constantly chase them and they keep brushing off the issues. For months now we have been very unpleasant to deal with. They haven't even tried to keep a happy customer they truly don't care. DO NOT give them your business!!!! 18 months after signing the contract and there is packing glue of all the 5 frames. Does not wash off. Company has had 11 months since installation to resolve and still nothing. Received a call at 09:00 a.m. telling us the installation was cancelled because the windows weren't ready. They hadn't received the glass from their supplier. I questioned how it was possible they didn't know of this problem in advance but received no satisfactory answer. I found this behavior very suspicious so I did some research on the internet and discovered to my dismay they are unreliable and there are many negative reviews and photos of their shoddy work. (I can send photos to anyone who is interested.) They offered to reschedule for two weeks later. We declined and said we wanted to cancel. However, when they called us back, we were told we could not cancel because the ten day grace period had passed and we were obligated to take the windows or they would refer this matter to legal services. Horrible. My husband dealt with Tony and honestly what a mistake to even have met with him. Laid out all the options for us, he sent us a quote with all the options in the email. He finally gets back to us after messaging him confirming what we wanted and he completely talked down to us in the rudest message telling us that we didn't understand what he mentioned and that they don't sell builder grade windows (even though he literally SAYS in the email quote the builder grade windows and the price it would be, but sure) then proceeds to say "You already have builder grade windows in your home now. Why in gods name would you be willing to go with the same non efficient product" Excuse me? The audacity to speak to a customer that way is appalling. My parents hired this company to install windows in their very old home, they make it quite clear they are only interested in your money, they then send random people to come install the windows, what a mess. Caulking looks like my 4 year old nephew did it, windows not shimmed or level, screws straight through the frames which crumpled them. We called to ask that someone come take a look. They came to look and sent someone to fix them who did an equally poor job. When they came again to inspect the poor work that was done again, the man made more than one comment that made it seem this was somehow our fault? It has all been handled poorly. STAY AWAY!! The sales person informed us that they have their own installers. We came to find out during the initial install that was absolutely false. Door was installed improperly, and not level (closing on its own). The chalking around the basement windows and front door was Sooo poorly done that even their own installers (2nd crew), were surprised. The initial installers arrived at our home 5pm and finished 11pm... Simply unacceptable on a work day. I must admit that the 2nd crew was very helpful, but had to redo everything, i.e., chalking and complete reinstall of our very expensive door. However, they did not have enough time to finish the trim on the door to our satisfaction (not square). Just recently customer service sends someone different again and to add salt to the wound, on his own to remove and reinstall the door and trim. ​Not only did he not know what was to be done, but he completely ignored my wife and insisted to talk to me at work. As you can imagine I was not to happy receiving a call at work and having to explain everything all over again! Then, finding out later that he was unprofessional not wanting to speak with my wife on the scope of work that she was well educated to explain. In conclusion; poorly installed door, trim and chalking, approximately 6 months and yet no resolve, with 3 seperate crews. Now, they want to schedule the 4th appointment and inconveniencing us again...very little communication between customer service and installers. I signed a contract in August 2020 for windows to be install by the end of November 2020. I have had nothing but hassle and headache since then. I have had my installation dates rescheduled 4 times as of now. We are currently heading into March 2021 and I have no expectation this will be done anytime soon. The first time the window was broken so they couldn't install it and they only cancelled the morning of after I had gotten the room ready for installation. The second time they came, the windows were too big so they couldn't install it. The third time, there was too much snow on the ground. The forth time the window was broken again. RUN AWAY. We had our front door replaced and were very disappointed by the service and the installers! The day of the install we received a call from the office saying the doors are not ready!! I was livid as I had to take the day off w/o pay and not to mention getting a call the same day of install!! Where is your customer service??? You get what you pay for, STAY AWAY! Absolutely the worst decision I made was signing a contract with this company. They were slightly cheaper that the others but not much. Our sales rep Michael is a typical salesman. Only wants your signature on the contract then you won't hear from him again! Won't return emails/phone calls. And when you have a problem - you will talk to someone in a 'call centre'! Which will take weeks to resolve. Now lets get to the day of install, phoned me at 9:30am stating the windows didn't arrive. 'Apparently' the windows miraculously showed up a 1/2 hour later. Install scheduled now for the next day. However, the triple paned glass in the master bedroom didn't arrive...on all three windows, Then I was told they did arrive, but all three were broke. Two days on install, windows were installed (19 windows at that). The main window facing our walkway was severely scratched. Told the installer, who took pictures and was told another would be ordered. After two weeks of hearing nothing, I called - the call centre - and they had no idea what I was talking about. I'm still waiting for my glass to be installed in the master bedroom. But they did put in plexiglass for the time being. Was told that they STILL didn't have the glass and nobody knew how long it would be. Well I get a call about an hour later to schedule me in for tomorrow to get all three glasses installed. And they had to send a different company to install them as they were too busy. Two weeks go by and I still don't have the scratched glass installed. I finally have an appointment now. So I notice how dirty they are, finger prints everywhere from install. Tried to clean them the best I can without a ladder. So upon cleaning, I noticed the caulking from the inside is all cracked around the WHOLE window! I looked at the other windows and every single window needs to be re-caulked. On some, it looks like they barely put any on, so it's literally pulling away from the frame. So I hear back from the call centre and this is their excuse 'Calking is a silicone material, and silicone is cracking sometimes when its drying, it is a normal chemical reaction'. So I'm just supposed to live with cracked silicone caulking on every window?? If you are in the market for windows, please take this review to heart and look at the pictures I attached. service is great when you are getting the windows and doors installed but once that is done you can kiss customer service good bye and welcome headaches and extremely poor customer service. we had issues with our front door 1. the window framing was warping and that took 5 months to get that dealt with. 2. Now the bottom window cracked from the cold and it has been 3 months. Every single time they push it off to manufactures. I didn't buy the door from the manufacturers I bought the doors from Canadian choice windows and doors. They do not keep customers informed and you have to call many times to get service on warranty they provide yet it is always the manufacturers fault never theirs. Always a problem with the manufacturers they they even gave me the manufacturers number to contact them myself. Like "OMG Shrug", they literally can not do their jobs and will brush it off to another company. How is that customer service and why are customers even going through this company when you can most likely buy directly from the manufacturers and pay less by dropping the middle man which is Canadian choice Oh and do not even talk a little loud ( I am deaf in one ear and age is not helping the other ear) they will hang up on you acting all offended. Texts are for the younger generations not us older generations where voice calls means both parties should be able to hear each other. But instead they make up offences just so they do not have to deal with customer issues. Funny worst I said was the secretary's customer service was rude and she should not even be working there and Texting is for millennials (as it was the younger generations they tend to use texting he most. use older generations like the good old fashion voice conversation. but that just made them all offended. Started off great. Placed a call for a quote. Phone call next day, appointment a couple days after. Signed security deposit...and that is where it went down hill. Sales rep said installer will be calling in a couple of days to set up a window measurement. Two weeks later he calls....once at 9:30 pm (didn't call back right away as i was sleeping getting ready for my 4:30am shift) after having the company call me say the installer is trying to get a hold of you. and me explaining what was going on. Once I got a hold of him. ( He informs me I will be in your area either next weekend of the weekend after...okay guess that will do.....cleared both weekends.......NO SHOW. In all this time the sales rep has calling me and the contractor, he finally shows up for 2 min, to do the exact same thing the sales rep did when measuring windows. Thinking to myself well least this is getting going now, So finally get the install date, great, worked my shift around them so i am on afternoons. Said windows will be installed at 11:00am should be gone by 3:00pm.....NO NO they said between 11-3 windows will be installed. Oh my bad forgot i was ordering cable not windows..So they actually wanted me to wait and let them in and i could go to work as long as someone will be home when finished to approve the work.....ummmmm NO THANK YOU. So they showed up and rushed the work. I ended up being 2 hours late to work. The measurements looked to be wrong as the gap on the retro fit was larger then they expected. Had to use outdoor silicone indoors( VERY VERY STRONG SMELL) Said don't touch for 2 weeks let time to cure, now my blinds rest on the frame so now i can not put up my blinds for two weeks. Because they rushed the job, the expanding foam has then decided to keep expanding and pushed itself though the outdoor silicone, now they have to comeback another day to fix. Had to fill out a survey asked well can i give this to you tomorrow as the job is not done? He was quick to say umm I need to send it it today. So with him standing over my should I quickly did the survey. So any future window will not be purchased and installed by this company. Please think about this when you are looking for windows. I am glad they did not put a lawn stake in front of my house.....pictures below show pry bar marks on my ledges and cracks made from pulling out old windows....the foam coming out of the caulking and holes in the caulking. read more

Installation day confirmed for December 2019, windows came too small for openings, installers explained they could not continue installation. It was decided to install the smaller windows temporarily until resolved. 6 out of the 14 windows were foamed in temporarily. September 29th 2020 still unresolved. Overall we are disappointed with our experience with this company , the lack of follow through and communication/care for our concerns is/was very disheartening. Let's start with the Salesman, he was friendly and kept his appointments, but felt he could not do much more than take the order and get the paper signed. The coupon in the mail is good for nothing by the way, since it was never used or discussed. The windows finally arrived 3 months later , unfortunately scratched , damaged, warped and scuffed in numerous places. Where did they come from ? How were they shipped. Installers I felt were excellent and knowledgeable, did the best they could to do the job right. It's not easy ... So now that they are in , the inside Vinyl moulding for the large window is cheap and warped and does not fit well or look good , so we decline and wait for a wooden upgrade . Almost 6 months later we Get It and it looks better but all the gaps are filled with caulking so it stinks up the house, I get it its hard to make it fit perfect . Is it? It's a pandemic so things are slow . So now they are done and have been fully paid Months ago because we went through the financing company to give us time to save and pay. Do you think they care about are concerns or complaints . We don't . They hAve not called us or offered us any compensation for the wait , the defects , or the marked up , dinged product. I still can't lock my living room windows and cold comes in because there's not a tight seal unless you lock them. I'm very disappointed for the $10,000 I spent. We recently had the guys from canadian choice come in to changes all the windows in our house. The Windows were over 20 years old and needed an upgrade. The stuff was extremely professional from the estimator to the installers, they were very patient and very educational We were shopping around for the right quality and price and canadian choice beat all other offers that we had received. We had a small issue with one of the windows installed on the second floor but the service guys came the next day after we called it in and fixed the problem right away. I was unable to post photos on my last review, but here they are. The work was sloppy and unprofessional. Cheap material was also used for the trim. I probably could have done the trim a lot better and cheaper than what they charged me. And the trim also had dirty smudges. I tried to clean them but of course as it's cheap material it wouldn't wipe off. Now I have to spend extra money to repaint them and try to make them more appealing... sigh... so sad that companies do this and think it's ok. Completely unprofessional. After several tries I booked an appointment that no one showed up for. I rebooked for a different date and still no show. I waited a few days to see if anyone would follow up with me, and they didn't. It's clear that if they aren't going to make the effort to show up for the appointment for a quote to get your business, they certainly won't be getting back to you if you have problems or concerns. If you have made an appointment with them, expect them to sent you a confirmation email then not showing up on your appointment date because that what have happen to me.
