I don't 1-star review (or 5-star, for that matter), but I sure do consider it from time to time. Had good communication with the gen mgr on getting Tritium night sights installed on my son's pistol professionally. Wish he would have explained to me how long it would take to do a job that should be an hour, or less, at most. Gunsmithing isn't prevalent in our metro, and Sharp Shooters was the first call we made. They didn't have a problem with us getting a 3rd party purchase to install on the pistol. Great price for installation, by the way ($25), so we brought it in. Called after a week and were told, 'It's number 3 in line for service. Our tech says he'll to get to it after lunch.' Didn't happen. The following week, we called and basically heard the same spiel, and were told we'd get a call the next day when it was done. No call. It got tough telling my son everyday to hang in there. That disappoints me most in all of this. Regardless, what could we do? If they were going to do it we had to wait. Don't complain to people who are working on your gun, right? Look, I probably could have installed the sights (I have the tools and have done it on my rifles), but this was NOT my firearm, so I took the local/pro route for my son. If it was explained up front that it would take weeks to do, we would have called another service. At the 3-week mark, we called again and found out it was done. The rep stated (curiously) that there wasn't a 'note to call the customer,' and could not say how long it had been since the replacement. Not cool. If we did not call it would have just been sitting there. Picked it up, with another heapin' helpin' of crap-sandwich for this experience. The $25 job was now $54, because the smith had to, 'Cut out the rear sights.' When I asked the rep why we were only getting the original rear sights back (in package and obviously not cut out), I also asked where the original front sights were? He went to a back office for a minute or two, and came back with a blah-blah-blah you can wait here for the next 2 hours until our guy comes in. Yeah, nope. This was a brand new pistol purchased in 2020, and not some rusted vintage piece. Permanently marred the front site area, too (see pics). Front sights on any modern firearm are removed east-to-west, and reseated west-to-east. Friggin' Gunsmithing 101. Effing-ridiculous. My sons (3) and I considered a year's membership at their indoor range ($300 each/plus tax), but in light of everything, that's a hale and hearty hell no. And, if the sights clearly need adjustment when we take it out to the range, I will update this review accordingly... read more

I come into this review open and honestly. I had an incredible experience here. Someone missed the mark on teaching me anything about guns and shooting and it was my very last week in my 20s and my husband bought me the Women and Guns class. I am really really glad he did. It is something else to learn a new skill completely, but leaving with real concrete knowledge is even better. Mind you, I had never shot a gun before this experience and the class itself is amazing for anyone who is feeling like they just want to feel comfortable about guns as a whole. Darius was our instructor. I brought a friend with me and the class was full. I brought my own gear, headphones and glasses because of course, my husband. The class is broken down into parts about the history of guns, what a gun is made of, what ammunition is and so so much more. I left with the experience and the education all packed into a three hour class that was rich in content. Daruis was amazing. Honestly, this whole thing can be intimidating and I was coming in wanting to know as much as possible, since I came in knowing absolutely nothing. He put the class at ease the whole time, and answered every single question. He used facts then backed those facts up with his own opinions. Being a marine, it showed that his dedication to teaching people about this was exactly what he should be doing. I shot as many guns as I could. The adrenaline was followed by massive hunger, (so funny Darius warned us about this.) It was a well rounded experience that I would recommend to all women. read more

Awesome place, with fantastic staff. I read some complaints about kids shooting pistols. Having coached kids in precision rifle for over 25 years, I wouldn't want a minor shooting a pistol next to me either, even with a parent nearby. You simply never know what level of discipline the child is, or the parent for that matter. Staff at Sharp, stick to your rules, they're reasonable and wise. read more

Your insurance must be unique to your store because i have never had issues with any other range allowing minors to shoot (as long as parent is present). I'm not sure what the poliiticians have to do with your insurance - even ranges in California allow minors to shoot. Also, your insurance apparently will allow my kid to shoot if I pay for a $150 class. read more

This place is great! The minute me and my fiancé walked in, we were greeted by many of the workers. Our questions were answered immediately and different aspects of the range and guns were explained. They have a great selection of guns to buy and rent as well. You can tell the workers love their job and guns! Stopped into the driving range to practice target shooting with 9mm Glock and 22 with red dot. The staff was helpful and able to quickly get us checked in after everyone signed waivers. There was a couple iPads that were not working but they had over 6 to get setup. The range was split into two sections and we had 2 per station. After the staff was on top of asking if anyone needed help or had questions about a gun. read more

My first time there and my boyfriends third time. He has enjoyed himself every time and I was thoroughly surprised at the level of customer service provided. Every single staff member we dealt with today came with friendliness and knowledge. I was trying out guns to figure out which one I wanted to buy. They were eager to help me find the right fit for me. Prices, I feel, are completely reasonable. 17.50 for using the range, no time limit and $10 for each caliber. I think it was $13 for 50 rounds for a 9mm. Don't quote me on that though. I haven't been to many ranges but I really don't have anything negative to say about the place. I would suggest it to a friend for sure. FYI they will not let you shoot if you're alone and do not bring your own firearm. Some suicide prevention program. Irritating but I get it. read more

It was our first time in here- we stood in line for a while before someone could help us.. when someone finally got to us, they told us that we had to sign a waiver on an iPad, and we finally did that as "guest." They told us there were 4 non members in front of us and the girl said it would be approximately a 20 min wait. We were waiting and waiting- but they didn't tell us that as soon as a member came in- they'd get a right away. If they had told us it wouldn't have been an issue because then we would've just taken our money else where and not wasted an hour of our time. We had questions about some guns and the person who was helping us seemed as if either A. He didn't wanna help us or B. He didn't know the answer. We also wanted to buy some ammo, but wouldn't sell it to us... and said she would let us buy it as soon as we got a lane. Never come here. They're rude. read more

I've always loved this place , I find the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. I just can't think of anything negative to say.

I went in to use the range, and the employees were very friendly and helpful. The ranges are short range, fine for pistols, and they offer rentals as well. I started going in for their weekly "fun shoots", where you go through a tactical course, moving and shooting "bad guy" targets, and avoiding the "good guy" targets. The course changes every week, so it's a lot more interesting than just shooting at the range. Sharp Shooting also offers numerous firearms training courses for people with varying levels of proficiency. And of course they have lots of guns, ammo, and accessories. read more

Sharp Shooting indoor range & gun shop says they are a full service facility they are separated in to two sections. The Range, the firearms and the accessories and then the gun shop. The range and the staff other than being short of staff, which now aday isn't overly surprising, is a fine experience and worthy of praise with a welcoming atmosphere and, if you get the right staff member, knowledgeable staff. If you go to the Gun Shop, I would start looking for other places to take your firearms. Theo, who claims to be a gunsmith, is on a good day incompetent. He is more of a staff member than a gunsmith only wrenching on firearms 2 days a week. However I have been told he is more of a subcontractor than an employee which makes me wonder why he isn't in his little shop doing his job rather than smoking and joking with ever Tom, Dick, and Harry that comes through the door. I have thus far, brought in two uppers in there. Now it should be noted that I am building these myself for the most part and have prefit the parts to see if they will all fit and work with one another before handing them off to Theo "The Gun Smith" so if I didn't like something I could change them or do the research so I can be sure I like the fit and finish before I take it to them. I took them in to tighten & torque to spec, the barrel nut, flash hider and handguard on one, and the same with the other one that I bought a piston system for. I did the research and watched the videos on how to put everything together with minor variations in final assembly. The first one was a flat $95 price to do what I was asking & it was in and out in a week, awesome! I got it home and proceeded to attach it to my lower and there were some clearance issues with handguard and the lower not wanting to mate up. So I had to redo the handguard in order to get the upper and lower to marry up correctly. A annoyance to be sure and I question what the man was thinking when he did this. The second which I have in there right now I did the same exact thing with. Preassembled it to make sure everything was going to be to my liking and was going to fit so that was one less headache that Theo "The Gun Smith" had to screw with. I take it in and the young lady, who apparently was new, didn't know what she was doing. I asked her about about bore sighting my red dot. She wanted to charge me $90 to "mount and sight in" my red dot. I told her that you don't have to mount anything I would bring it in already "attached." My experience went down hill from there. More like a base jumper, jumping with out his pack & At this point in time I should have walked away. I asked her how long would it take to get what I needed done, done. She stated that she didn't know, (an acceptable answer) but Theo "The Gun Smith" was just over there and she would ask. Theo "The Gun Smith" at this time was play slap and tickle hid the pickle with someone instead of handling gun smithing duties. She came back and said it would be three weeks before he could get to it. I get it in this state with the stupid shit that the government is doing people want to get their crap in before they do something stupid and I didn't need it right away anyhow. So I agreed to it and we did some paperwork and off she went. Thursday I look at my phone and see I missed a message. I play the message and it was Theo "The Gun Smith" telling me that he had a look at my rifle and that he couldn't do it because he would have to disassemble it which would cost an additional $95 and then to reassemble it was going to be the original $95. I was irritated by that little bit of news. He went on to tell me that the barrel nut is a clocked nut and needs shims which he doesn't have, to be torqued and clocked so the piston would work properly and that the barrel nut was missing shim. I knew he was either lying or incompetent as there were already shim on the barrel that the manufacture of the system sent me and I put them inbetween the barrel and the nut on the upper because I knew, KNEW how important they were. So I went down there taking my own set of allan wrenches and two extra shims that I had from when I was checking for the right parts for this build seeing that he "didn't have any." So Theo "The Gun Smith" didn't have any? That seems very odd for a professional gun smith not to have shims. At this point in time I know all he did was remove the handguard and looked at everything and said nope, I am not going to do this because I don't know what I am doing. If that bastard had just said that, I would have been cool with it and I would have found another gunsmith in this town. So I go there and ask for my rifle to inspect it and prove to that fucker there were shims there. So I pulled everything off of there. It took me no more than 5 minutes because everything was hand tight. Once I got to the barrel nut and showed him there were shims his comment, "OH." Then he made excuses to why he couldn't do it. read more

Knowledgeable and helpful employees, they filed forms very quickly, and have always gotten me what I needed, even if it didn't come from them. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone; if you're a beginner, they'll show you where to start. If you're beyond that and need a special part, want something really specific, or need eforms filed, they'll do it all. read more

Cost here can be pretty high if you are renting a gun and buying ammo, but if you were like my sis and I we came in ready with her guns and with plenty of ammo. we were able to choose from an array of different targets probably the hardest part of the day was making that decision. It came down zombie clown and then we did multiple circles to shoot that to have a mini competitiion between her and I. My last spread was about 4inches apart at 20 feet and hers was like 2 inches apart at 20 feet, she better win she is the law enforcement of the family. There were about 10-12 stalls a small plank in each stall toput your gear and a button to move the target closer or further. Good sized parking lot, lots of gear to buy in shop if you'd like, bathrooms and a couple of couches for those waiting, like one of our girlfriends did whil we were shooting. read more

Great service. Has a decent size parking lot. Sharp Shooting has great customer service and the staff are well versed in assisting you with most of your questions. They also hold hand gun training at an affordable price. I love using the range during the winter. I bring my one pistols and ammo so the rental of a lane cost less than 20 bicks. They also have a great selection of hand guns that you can rent with ammo to he purchased. I havent had a bad experience here yet. They do have a mini lounge area, vending/snack machine and a washroom. Besides Double Eagle - this is my favorite place to come and look for guns and or opinions and advise. My sweetie and I shoot here often. For the most part, its a good place. I agree with some of the posts citing rude employees. My sweetie and I have learned to avoid those who we think are rude. And yes, there are two off the top of my head I avoid all together. Impatience and impolite people have no reason to have interaction in a retail environment. And yes, the owner KNOWS who they are. We have purchased about 2K in merchandise from them in the last year and a half. Not including lane rentals. Last purchase was a handgun (for my sweetie) at over $900. I understand looking for deals, but understand business. That building is not free or cheap. Employees paychecks, tax matching, insurance, and L&I to name a few cost a fortune. I would imagine the power bill alone to run lights and fans is north of 5k a month. Not to mention insurance for the lanes has to be a fortune a month. If you do not understand business, and think their prices are too high, please, go somewhere else. I dont want you in a lane next to me. They provide a service for a fee. As a former business owner, im surprised lanes are rented at such a low rate. It is a 90% good place. Pick your intentions walking in. It is a private business, not a Wall-E world shooting department. My sweetie and I will continue to shop there and use the lanes because we didnt let one bad experience ruin our day. read more

I am a United States Army Veteran. I have used small arms most of my life. I went to Sharp Shooting Indoor Range in Spokane, WA today, expecting to have a great range day. Instead, Staff personal would not let me rent a weapon from them for the following reason. I was asked if I was a gun owner. I replied no, as I am not. I was told, and I quote, "that because people who do not own guns are more likely to commit suicide that I was not allowed to rent any weapon from them". Staff said that there have been incidents there. So I have checked Spokane WA city and State regulations and even red flag laws. I cannot find any law or regulation that supports their assertion. If I am wrong and I missed something then fine. If not, then I suggest if you do not own a weapon do not try to rent one there. You will be turned away. I was looking to purchase a .45 Cal 1911 ACP, cleaning kit, case ammunition, targets, a yearly membership and range time. They lost out on everything. I will never go back. A one stare rating is too good for this company. Also, and this is totally an opinion of mine, I wonder if they do not like Veterans there. I have learned to trust my gut and something was just off. 1 star. I had some gunsmithing work to be done 8/3/22 as well as begin some necessary sidearm range training. I was told that regular gunsmith work wasn't done at the shooting range as "the gunsmith had retired & people were looking for him " Ehh ? I remarked that I'd seen online that gunsmithing was listed as a service at their very same address. I was told that it was not so. I was referred to an address posting which was located 10405 North Newport Hwy. So, with road construction and such going through Hillyard; I arrived at address on Newport Hwy only to find that the shop is closed Mon, Tues, & Wed. A lousy referral under my belt; on my mind and a mid-day traffic-ridden trip back through town towards home on the South Hill faced me. I certainly was NO longer in the mood to get any range practice at Sharp Shooting Indoor range. If there is a range in Post Falls ,ID area; that's where Im going. read more

I recently purchased my first gun at Sharp Shooting, after taking their 3 hour Basic Handgun course. As a adult male who has never used any sort of gun, I felt a little bit intimidated by the whole process of gun purchasing and ownership, but it was a really great experience. The class instructor was very thorough and took the time to answer any questions that you might have. Included in that class was time at the range to shoot a variety of handguns. The owner Robin and all of her staff are really friendly and work to help you with anything you might need when it comes to responsible gun ownership and training. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in purchasing a gun or in being trained in the use of firearms. read more

Took my wife shooting for her first time there... the range was fairly standard, fine on the lanes & the lighting, but the STAFF were jerks. It really put a negative spin on the whole event for her. Prices were a bit high as well. It would have been better to drive out to the country with some tin cans. I won't go there again. read more

great range, there are 2 ranges with 10 lanes each and a lot of rentals to choose from. VERY pricey though! I went with my parents and sister and it was about $100 for a box of .40 and .357 each and for all of us to shoot WITHOUT rentals. Also, if you happen to hit one of the target carriers, even on accident, it's a $10 fee. Other than the prices, it's great. Out-of-Towners Beware: Nice retail area within this facility and ok range though a short porch. Typical fees and rates for range shooting and since we were visiting, we rented everything we needed. What surprised me was @ check out....unannounced manifest a $18/each screw-over for 'non-member' fee. When you give them your driver's lic for the range, I think they note where you're from and consider that you may not be back soon and tag you this 'non-member' fee for the hell of it. I've been to Sharp Shooting a few times and I've always thought their staff were great. Today my daughter and I went and took a class from Wes on Women & Guns. He did an awesome job. We learned about gun safety and marksmanship, the operation of semi-automatics and revolvers, safe carrying and storage, plus much more and then we had a live-fire session. Wes covered everything thoroughly, his emphasis was on safety, he was friendly, fielded questions patiently from everyone and was a good listener. Overall he was an awesome teacher and the experience exceeded my expectations. Sharp Shooters has great indoor ranges and so much in their shop between guns, apparel and accessories that I didn't even have time to look at everything. Very impressed! read more

Came here for date night with my husband and another couple. It's a pretty good range and you get to rent guns. However you cannot bring your own bullets and shoot with a rented gun. My friends rented theirs, we brought our 9mm and .22. We bought some targets and went at it. I came in a few weeks after because my husband ordered a sticky holster. The counter has been busy every time I've been in, so make sure you're seen by an employee or speak up if you need help. read more

Mandi.. 4 boxes of ammo plus using the range for a cost of $100 is very typical prices. The $10 extra charge is for hitting the ceiling not the target holder. And if you're shooting the ceiling, you probably should take up a new hobby. With that said, this range is pretty standard with average prices. Customer service for my visit was top notch. I've used the range several times and we (wife and I) have purchased several guns from them. The range is not bad it's a pistol only range (they do let me use my 9mm carbine) we only go on date night (wed. After 5pm) since it's $15 to rent a lane for 2 people and rental guns are free but you have to use their ammo. I do bring in my own guns and ammo I also bring in my own targets. When purchasing a firearm the one we wanted was priced at $589 I thought that was high.... Called around got a price of $529 for the same gun. Long story short sharps matched the price and I was happy they did that or they would have lost a customer. So I'm very happy with them and will continue to buy from them. I would also suggest they start carrying reloading supplies..... I mention it to them every time I go in. read more

Sharpshooters is an excellent indoor gun range. As I pulled into the parking lot I initially remember feeling like I was pulling into an army armory due to the size of the huge parking lot. The staff were ALL very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to their craft. By far they had the biggest selection of guns that were available to the public use. Overall I was very pleased. I even got my girlfriend to go with me and shoot off a couple of rounds out of the 9mm AR they had for rent. read more

Had several unpleasant experiences there. The staff is about as helpful and friendly as a pack of castrated pitbulls. Shot there a few times and also had a gun transferred there from Idaho and I've never walked away feeling like they see customers as anything more than an inconvenience that interrupts their otherwise great days. They're pretty much the only game in town and they know it. I also agree with the other reviewer that their prices are out of line. Bring your own targets, shooting equipment and ammo and you should be ok. If you're able to shoot anywhere else, I'd highly recommend that. read more

This place can get pretty spendy. It's an indoor range, which is great for the winter. That being said, $17 for a day pass is a wee bit much unless you plan to stick around for an extended period of time. The workers are nice enough - some are much more knowledgeable on guns than others. I brought my own and also rented one that I've wanted to fire. The rental jammed quite a bit, but then again it's probably had 10,000 round through it. Overall it's an OK place, but I won't be going frequenting the place for a daily $17 fee. but it's a fun place to check out every once in a while! read more

Your floor AC in the range were not turned on & had bright pink signs on them stating they were not to be touched. I will not be paying $57 for 45 miserable minutes ever again.
