89.99 Tire Alignments - tax included!…read more Rolled into this location after learning that they do not take appointments for tire alignment. The "tire alignment" person had gone to lunch as we came, but we were first in line when they got back. It was prompt and completed within 30 minutes. The store lounge area is well-air conditioned and has comfy seating, including high top bar seating with outlets for desk work (or takeout) and a clean restroom and water fountain adjacent to it.

And choose to use something else without my permission. They told me my original lugnuts were not the right ones. I took my truck to Ryme time tire and they told me that the lugnuts discount tire should not have been put on. They tried to take them off and one lug nut was already broken. I took it back to discount tire and they tries to fix my broken lug nuts but couldn't. They put in a claim to have my trucked fix. The claims people never called. I had to take my broken truck to Toyota to fix. Toyota told me discount tire put the lug nuts on and broke all six of them including all six lugs. They had a hard time getting them off. Toyota fixed my broken wheel at a cost of 525.00. And discount tire just says they nothing to do with it. DISCOUNT TIRE will brake your vehicle and not fix it. I also heard another customer had there wheels work on and when they drove off the parking lot the whole wheel came off. Discount was supposed to just check my air in my tire and ended up breaking my truck. And now tells me its out of their hands. Save yourself a lot of money and dont go there for anything. They will break your vehicle.

My car began to malfunction, and trusting them, I brought it in. Before I even reached the counter, I overheard someone from the garage scream, "Here comes an opportunity." Red Flag. Once the diagnostic was done, I was told repairs would cost upwards of $10,000. I'm no mechanic, but I know manipulation when I see it. I asked for a print off of the required repairs and was told that "they don't do that". Feeling uneasy, I sought a second opinion. In the end, the repairs cost me $200. All I needed was a couple of hoses, and some spark plugs. It was crystal clear that Pep Boys was trying to take advantage of me. What's worse, I overheard a manager berating an employee for not "getting more" out of a customer. They didn't think I heard, but I did. On top of that, I was told by someone else that while they visited the shop they overheard a district manager discussing with their team how desperately they need to repair their customer relationships because so many people are coming forward about being swindled too. I'm sharing this to warn anyone considering Pep Boys, do not trust them. There are honest auto repair professionals out there. The people at Pep Boys, however are nothing but crooks. They do brakes and oil changes. That's it. They aren't mechanics. I learned from a former employee of theirs that the reason they charge so much for repairs that because they outsource the work to actual mechanics, then overcharge so they can get their profit. Let my experience be your cautionary tale. Don't trust them.

As I walked to the front of my car, I got down on one knee to ensure they had replaced all of my trim clips on my splash guard.( I did this because in time past they were not all replaced) As I bent over, I noticed oil pouring out from around my splash guard. I jumped up and ran to cut the car off. One of the techs looked over and asked, whats wrong? I told him my car is pouring oil out. Andrew was inside the building looking out, so I went in and explained to him what the problem was. At this time one of the techs got in the car and was going to start it to take it back in the shop, and the other tech yells at him. "Dont start that car up". Andrew went outside and had a dicussion with them and they pushed in back into the shop. Later he, andrew, came to me very apologetic and professional saying the oil filter was not tighten properly. I was frustrated, and dissapointed in what had just happened. I simply said, this could've been very bad if I had not looked under my car and drove off. He agreed and still apologetic. I told him its not your fault and I know you want things here done right. I hope this will serve to them as a learning tool to pay attention to detail. I will continue to take my car there because I trust them, however, I will contine to be very observant of what they are doing and check to see that job is done correctly. In all honesty, I should'nt have to.

So as soon as we got off work we went to the place she bought her battery to get a diagnostic reading which stated "bad charging system". Luckily, we were next door to Tire Discounters so we rushed over to see if they could replace her alternator that night because she lives almost an hour from this area and didn't feel confident she'd make it home. We walk in with a new alternator and ask if they can replace it. One guy said they could replace it but it wouldnt be tonight since it was about 5:15 and they close at 6pm. We understood but felt so defeated. I asked if they thought she'd make it to Scottsboro with a bad alternator and one guy said not likely. the other guy, Jacob, said he would go check her output to see what the reading was to help gauge whether or not she should attempt the long commute. once Jacob got the reading he began looking for her alternator to see how hard it would be to get to. After he assessed everything he said he wanted to go ask the other guy a question real quick so we followed him inside. After Jacob spoke to the other guy, he came to the counter and said he was going to put the new one on and said it will be done around 6pm. Jacob went above and beyond to make sure my friend made it back home that night. He was kind, courteous, and fast. Jacob didn't have to do what he did, especially being as close to closing time as it was, but he took great care of us! GO SEE JACOB!
