This is a true barbershop and has been continuously operating since 1894! The vintage vibe is perfect. I was told the current owner has been operating for about 3 years. Above all, they provided great service. Grimaldi's has 3 chairs available and they take appointments through their Facebook page. I made an appointment recently for a late Saturday morning and got right in. Others that walked in had about a 30-45 minute wait. Not bad for a Saturday morning, but definitely worth making an appointment. Chris cur my hair and did a great job. I also enjoyed the conversation and again, the atmosphere was perfect. Old school barber and the place was full of guys with their kids. Passing down the tradition! I will be coming back for sure. I've found my new hair home. Note that Grimaldi's was previously Byron's Barbershop. The Byron's name still shows up on some internet searches.

Easiest process of my life, no social pressure, great service. I shaved my head a while back and I've kinda struggled with trying to make it look good as it grew out. I'm telling you Alex does me right EVERY TIME. Immediate confidence boost. They have a little something for everyone. If you want a nice conversation, these guys are there for you. Terry always has done an excellent job of cutting my hair...I do have a full head of hair... though he as been doing a good job of only cutting my gray hairs, seemingly missing the brown ones. I know that because everytime I look at the clippings, there doesn't seem to be any brown ones...he is THAT good. of course, my hair is just as gray as Terry's. Often I just call and see when he has an opening that day and usually he can fit me in, though understandably appointments are best.

I walked ‍in here thinking that I would get a great haircut and leave happy…read more I open the door and there's five (5) barbers and (5) customers in each chair getting haircuts. Do you have an appointment? Well no! We're busy! Have a seat and we'll try to get to you soon. So, I quietly sat down on one of the long padded benches against the wall. The only other customer was a little boy about 7 years old who jumped into the barber's chair shortly after I sat down. I felt very uncomfortable in here. I was a hairdresser years ago and I ran a business, I'd bend over backwards to please and impress a brand new client. Make him or her feel welcome and special. It's repeat customers that keep establishments like this thriving for years to come. I looked up at the price list $27 and up for a haircut. $14 and up for senior citizens as I recall. I want to know the flat fee. I'm an older professional, business kind of guy. I didn't want any goofy juvenile carved out geometric two tiered design on my head. What does a regular haircut cost? I didn't feel comfortable here and at this point in life, if it doesn't feel quite right, I walk out. Sometimes businesses get a little full of themselves, a little too self important for their own good. As I was walking out the keeper of the door quickly informed me he could get to me pretty soon. I'll come back another time. There won't be another time. I do not feel I was welcomed properly when I first walked in. I thought it was a rude way to greet a new customer. First impressions matter!
