They did a good quick job.I asked for a a haircut, beard trim and shave when I walked in. They said no problem and had me sit down. When they were done with the hair cut and trim they stated cleaning up And I asked about tge shave and she said we don't do shaves. Even though I had just asked them them if they did shaves. The shop is in an old run down house and I had to check twice to make sure it was open. The inside is rustic with 6 red leather barber chairs. I asked the barberess how long this place has been here? As I have been coming to MC for the last 20 years and never spotted the joint. She told me that she has personally been cutting hair here for 10 years and the shop has been in this location for 90 years. Ummm, oh! She took her time cutting my hair as little as I have it's usually a rush job. She vacuumed my head and then hot shaved my neck. Just when I thought we were done, she got the vibrator out and messaged my neck and shoulders. When I got up and pulled a 20 out, I wasn't sure if it was going to be enough. Then I heard 12 bucks! If it came down to the cut, I would give 4 stars. The customer service on the other hand is the reason I will never go back. I have taken my son to get a haircut 4x now. It always costs $15 and I always leave a $5 tip, so why the cold shoulder and not feeling welcome in this barber shop?? Just today I walked in, took my number, and sat down with my son. Within seconds the lady said "do you have an appointment?" I said no.. "Well then you ready?" Wow. Just the tone in her voice. So rude. Not welcoming at all! Through the entire cut she did not speak to me or my son one single time. Did not ask if I liked his cut afterwards (I did like it). Then she takes his cape off and says $15.. I gave her a $20 and said "thank you so much" trying to kill her with kindness. She said "thanks" and moved to her next client. I'm just appalled with how horribly we have been treated EVERY single time. The only person who has ever been nice to us is named Michelle, so I guess if you want someone to be kind to you, ask for her. I however, will not return. I will take my $20 every 3 weeks elsewhere. read more
