Worst barbershop around. No one follows directions or understands how to follow a taper line or lineup

Went early Sunday morning, before they opened and they got me in as a walk in. No wait, got a high skin fade, scissor trimmed on top and lined up. As well as a beard trimmed and line up for 22$. In the city this would cost about 45$ and the barber gave me the tightest fade I've ever had. Overall great experience staff and haircut were awesome. read more

I was looking at the reviews for multiple barber shops in the area to decide where my next cut would be. The one for sharps was low but I decided to try it anyway. I'm so stingy when it comes to hair cuts especially because it appears every barber has trouble giving me a straight line up. Is it too much to ask for a haircut that's not crooked ????? The wait was about 20 mins I walked in without an appointment, I was not greeted either. I was tended by David and it was simple to explain the cut and he got straight to it. FINALLY a haircut that was straight, the clouds parted and the sun rays bestowed their heavenly shine on my hairline! It was straight omg. The only problem I had with my haircut is that I found out later on the back I had a little bit of red spots, I'm not sure what that is but after a few hours it's fine and barely noticeable. I'm definitely going back. Update: the red spots are fading and gone, strange! read more

Such horrible customer service...what's the point of having "Walk-ins Welcome" if your establishment doesn't even provide the service...seated for an hour for a line-up that never happened...definitely warning anyone that ask to simply look elsewhere for hair services. read more

Zero stars - Avoid this place like the plague. My 13 year old son went to get his hair cut. The result. The front edge was slanted and the shape of the hair was embarrassingly misshapen. Its like they didnt even try! Mad, I was going to take him back to get it fixed. He begged me not to. He didnt want to go back. My poor baby! 48 hours later he has painful bumps broken out all over the back of his neck. Avoid this dirty, apparently blind group of #@!%s like the plague. read more

Over the years, this place was bad, and didn't get the most out of your buck. Now, I'm proud to go here, and they have stepped up their game. One piece of criticism is that they are often doing other things when cutting hair, and they look understaffed. I would rate the experience a 4/5. Remember, the other reviews are old. Okay, to the point. This place has given me the worst customer service experiences! Not only once, not twice, not three times but multiple. Obviously I occasionally go back for urgent situations and because I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. This morning, on september 9th of 2017 at about 9:40 AM, I walked down to sharps to receive just a shape up. (15 minutes tops of a barbers time.) I've sat patiently for longer than an hour. Out of all of the customers that a barber have picked up, I wasn't even greeted. The receptionist didn't even greet me, she was sitting on her phone the whole time..... There were many flies flying around the seats also. I then decided that it wasn't worth the wait anymore and I left. FYI, these barbers also have given me razor bumps plenty of times and have cut into my actual head from time to time. Many of their good barbers have left and moved on to different shops as well. I've been going to this barber shop since i was 17 and now I'm 22 and I'm deciding to part ways with this particular shop. If anybody needs a barbershop recommendation, I prefer cut n edge on Massachusetts Avenue. -Mike read more

I've been there twice. My son and boyfriend got their hair cut the first time and I watched. My boyfriend's hair came out well ... He gets a simple style. My son's hair wasn't exactly how I wanted but it wasn't horrific. The part that was annoying about the first time was the fact that there is a clear language barrier. Seems as though nobody I spoke with spoke English and it was very difficult the describe what I wanted for my son, even with a picture. The second time I went in to get my hair cut and my boyfriend's too. There was no receptionist there and no one greeted us when we walked in. We sat in the waiting area until finally a timid looking barber waved to us. I started explaining to him what I wanted but he couldn't understand a lick of what I was saying so I had my boyfriend come over to assist me in basically speaking sign language to this guys to show/ explain what I wanted. Finally he understood but at that point I was exhausted. It took him about 45 minutes to cut my hair which felt like a long time for a straight forward clean up. After he was done with me, he put his tools down and then did my boyfriends hair. I didn't see him clean his tools or anything. My boyfriend got the same simple cut he always gets. It usually takes about 15 minutes but it took this guy almost 40. I'm sure the language barrier had a lot to do with the lengthiness of our appointments but sanitation is sanitation. It's never ok not to clean tools! The next day I had bumps all on the back of my neck & head. I will not be going back a third time. read more
