She's totally non-judgemental - I can tell her anything (and have!) and she doesn't even raise an eyebrow. She listens to my concerns and investigates them appropriately, but without ever going into over-cautious just-covering-my-ass mode (I work in health care. I know what it can be like). She has never brushed anything off as all in my head or "just nothing" and I have faith that she never will. She even calls me herself with abnormal results. Really. She's super. But that's not the best thing about Spadina Health Centre. Along with the great location (Bloor and Spadina!) and the friendly, competent reception staff, it is incredibly easy to book appointments (they can always fit me in within a day or two for urgent stuff and within a couple of weeks for yearly physicals) and I have never, ever waited more than five minutes to be seen at the clinic. Seriously. I'll say it again. I have never waited more than five minutes to be seen for my appointments at this clinic. If the horror stories my clients tell me are any indication, this is almost unheard of in Toronto. Sadly for all of you, I don't think that any of the docs at this clinic are accepting patients right now, so it's sort of unfair to even mention how fantastic they are. But I'm at the tail end of the 30 day yelp challenge and I'm really scraping the barrel for review ideas, so neener neener.

I am also seen on time which is a rare thing in a doctor's office! The staff, doctors and practitioners here care about their patients. Reagan - for a massage that is out of this world, especially if you like deep tissue vs "light and fluffy". Jumy - for TCM, helped me address some issues through acupuncture and other treatments, which I use as an integral part of my health care. Last but not least, Dr. Lee has been my chiropractor for over 15 years, and he is the reason I first came to the clinic. In that time I have sent my husband, my mother with spinal issues, my grandmother and several other family members to see him. Dr. Lee focuses on the root cause of the problem, never just an "adjustment and done". Over the years, he has helped me recover from a knee injury, repetitive strain in arms and shoulders, back pain. He has also helped me be more aware of my body alignment and areas to strengthen, which keeps me out of his office, rather than in! To support his patients, Dr. Lee is always striving to further his knowledge and techniques, to work in partnership with other health care providers even when they are outside of his clinic, and genuinely cares for his patients and their well being and experience. Very thorough and always busy. There are several clinics within walking distance to this medical…read morecentre but this one is by far the busiest. That says something in my opinion. With my scary experience with my son at another clinic just up the street, I swore I would never go back to that clinic. Even though the other clinic is rarely busy and I am in and out within a half hour I won't return to that other clinic. The doctor at that other clinic seriously jeopardized my sons health by misdiagnosing him and not treating him with medicine. These doctors are thorough and they care. Especially when it comes to children they are very thoughtful and concerned for their health.
