The hour drive from Chicago to this shop is well worth it. I enjoy the atmosphere and the friendliness from everyone at the shop. My husband and kids get their haircut by Leo and he does an amazing job. We tell him what we want and he delivers. I like that the shop has an appointment system because it shows that they really want to ensure that they take their time on their customers. My two year old can be a handful and cries when he gets a haircut, but Leo has a lot of patience and does an awesome job communicating with him and reassuring him that it'll be alright. This place looks good, and has a seemingly good atmosphere, until you get to the chair. All of the barbers are never paying 100% attention to you, I had just gotten a hair cut today and it was one of the worst I had experienced. Not just because of their attention, but the quality too. The guy seemed like he didn't even know what he was doing. I asked him for suggestions on how my hair should be cut, because I assumed he's the professional there, right? I thought he would be able to help me find a new style, but instead he says "I don't know man, its your hair. you tell me." He also had the nerve to literally take out his phone AND cut my hair, at the same time, and it wasn't only him. Some quality service there. Don't go. Hello, my name is Karen Nowak and I am not happy with my experience at "Shave Legends" in my opinion they are not as legendary as my little Ralphie on the basketball field. My little Ralphie was complaining that it hurt and we found out the barber trimmed one hair off of his perfect little head and I started yelling at him and told my little Ralphie to go outside so I could yell at the barber. I told him that my son only listens to Kids Bop. When the barber continued after I scolded him he called his manager whom I yelled at. And the worst thing is is that my little Maddison who was with us had to hear it all. I yelled at the manager " Ralphie is not vaccinated so if that gets infected I will be suing you and you better be ready to get your lawyers 'cus I'm winning this court case". read more

I asked for a trim on the top and said to cut little to none off on my head. They then proceeded to cut about 2 INCHES off the top by my hairline. They didn't even cut the rest only the front hairs by my eyebrow. Which means the top of my hair wasn't even touched, just the front of it was! I do NOT recommend ever coming here again. And it was 40 dollars! Good luck ever coming here and make sure you tell them about 20 times what you would like. Have fun and I'm never going here again SO BAD! read more

If you don't have an appointment, I'll highly recommend stay away from this place, because barbers friends who walks in even without a appointment get the "get ahead" treat and you sit around hoping someone will cut your hair, I spend 2hr waiting for someone to call your name and give a cut. Don't be fooled by the "sign in " sheet, it's a joke. Only positive i noticed about is Barber named Matt solid cut and give you solid appointment. Nice looking spot! Atmosphere is great, however the barbers are unprofessional and lack basic customer sevice skills! Most cut pretty well, not the best but good. Hate the barbers charge $5 for an appoinment and nickel and dime you for every little thing! The Owner, barber in first chair to the right thought it was ok to take an extra $5 from my 13 y.o(without asking or telling him), because I asked him to cut his hair a little lower. Well I was coming here since I moved from Cali but after today I'm not coming back I went across the street instead so I get there sign in and then one of their friends comes in signs in but then goes to the back and tells him in Spanish if he could do him first and he immediately sits him down.
