The reception woman at the counter with blonde hair, black thick glasses and a horrible orange tan was extremely rude.

We have been using Johnson County Pediatrics for two months now and continue to be impressed by…read moretheir practice. Their facility is very clean and kids friendly. The waiting area is large with plenty of room to spread out. An aquarium, kids tables, books and TV is available while you wait. The front secretary's are very friendly and always answer the phones immediately when you call. Dr. Tyson is so knowledgeable and patient with questions. She does a thorough job with examinations and informs you of what to expect. She takes the time to explain milestones and prepares you as your child grows into new stages of development.

My 2 kiddos are new to JCP and so far our interactions with the doctors has been great. One area…read morethat the practice could greatly improve upon is getting up to date with e-scripts and being able to call in a prescription to a pharmacy. Currently, either myself or my children's mom has to drive to the office just to pick up my son's adhd script every month, then call pharmacies to make sure they have the med, drop off the paper script, then come back to pick it up. Its pretty inconvenient in this day and age where it could easily be submitted electronically and we get a text that its ready and then a quick pickup.

Updating an old review as this continues to be a great doctors office if I may say so. I went to…read moreDr. Waters growing up here, and flash forward a few decades and our kids see Dr. Ragsdale. Everything has been great so far. Parking: Adjacent garage that's usually easy to get a spot in, despite being a congested area with hospitals around. The elevators in the garage look the exact same as when I was a kid and that's not necessarily a good thing. Definitely not made for the claustrophobic; I take the stairs even when hauling my little chubster in a car seat. Office: Nice, friendly and efficient. I've yet to wait well beyond my appointment time. Hours: Another plus, they have weekend hours although we haven't had to take them up on the offer yet. Quality: Top-notch. Great doctors across the board and a place you can trust. While we're fortunate to have only had to go here for check-ups and shots, it's been a five star experience so far and it was an easy decision to come here. The only universal law is that you're bound to catch some kinda germ or bug in the lobby here in the winter, so wash your hands!

This is a lie because all COVID testing for st Luke's is done at 4400 Broadway right now. All of the patients here and doctors and staff are exposed to COVID 19 patients in the common areas and parking garage. The staff at pediatric associates does not think this is a problem at all and were quite rude. They said it was the business of the building manager and st Luke's if they have testing in the same building.

Despite the…read moreobvious challenge of having a very young kid lay still for the ultrasound, the appointment went well, and as per usual the folks working at Children's Mercy were very kind and very good with our daughter. The results were reported within 24 hours and the only slight I have is from my encounter with the scheduler who acted like I was insane for asking how to get into the building, which entrance to use. I'm not a frequent CM visitor so how would I know? Aside from that our visit was fantastic.

I had went to a local urgent care first and they told me I needed to go to this hospital for my…read moretwo-year-old grandson who had an injury from falling to his mouth area. I took him to the emergency room entrance and the security guard where you have to put all your items on a conveyor belt and they search your bags, was very nice. I was not quite expecting this at Children's Hospital. But regardless he was nice and then he directed me to the check-in woman right around the corner who took my ID and scanned it, and I was given a sticker with my photo on it that I had to wear on me at all times. I was then directed to a nurse at the front desk who was not welcoming at the beginning and had a general attitude. She got a little bit better as she looked over my grandson, but she was just generally not very pleasant. The security guard had jokingly said I hit the jackpot because the waiting room was empty, which was a miracle. I was immediately called back with my grandson and a triage nurse looked at him and then brought us back to a room. We were than seen by another nurse who talked to us about what happened and generally looked him over and then said a provider would be in. Everything was going smoothly and quickly and then all of a sudden we were just waiting forever for the provider. The next person that came in was the woman that took the insurance and she was very nice. Then after that, another nurse came in and she said she was the new nurse because of a shift change. And I said whatever happened to the provider we've been in here for a long time and we were the only people in the whole waiting room. So then she said well it's gotten really crazy out there now and I said well, I understand, but we were here and absolutely no one was here. And I know they most likely base the immediate visits on how injured a child is, but the amount of time it took a provider to come in was too long. After I brought it up then I got a text, saying a provider was looking at the chart and would be in soon. At this point, I'm wondering if they just forgot about us because the kids were so good in the room and we were quiet and not complaining! So the doctor comes in, and he was gentle and good with my grandson, but he spoke very quietly, and I could not barely hear him. Then he suggested three tests while we were there for Covid, RSV, and the flu, which I said was fine. Those tests are rapid tests and we get again were left in there and I said we're gonna be leaving and you can call me with the results because by this time it was past 9 PM and they had no dinner and they had already seen him for what he was there for. So then after I said that the doctor came back in and said the test were negative and said that the nurse would come in and check us out. So I waited again and I finally went out there and she's just sitting at the desk and I can tell she completely forgot about us. I said we are waiting to get checked out and then she just went over to a computer and printed off the pages and that was it. So I was not happy with the general attitude towards the adults in general. They were good towards my two-year-old grandson who was excellent to wait that long with no dinner. Also, as soon as I rounded the corner, I heard the nurses whispering about me. I was completely nice and totally professional and I think if they were forgotten about, they might have felt the same way. So I would not go back unless we absolutely had to. I think the thought that kept coming to my mind was that they have seen so much and dealt with so many families that they have just kind of become hardened. In comparison, the urgent care that I visited first, everyone there was truly kind and compassionate, and there was a big difference in the attitude between the two medical institutions.
