The pulled pork sandwich was very good. The pork ribs, which is the gold standard in Midwest bbq, was a hot grey mess. Make sure to get these WITHOUT sauce, otherwise it's just a gelatinous pile of bones and goop. Almost no smoke ring on the ribs. Place has potential. Very good service. The ribs need work. read more

A must stop! Happened upon this place looking for BBQ on our way north and it didn't disappoint. Brisket very tender. Pulled pork really juicy and incredibly well seasoned and fried French fries. Wonderful service as well! Very clean bathroom. Closes at 2 pm Tuesday and Wednesday. We'd go back if we are ever through this way again. read more

That is saying a lot coming from Lexington/Thomasville, NC where we have world renowned BBQ across many travel channels/ food blogs. Our waitress "BBQ Oma" instantly took up with our 5yo, he loved her- as did we! This place is popping on a Friday night! We made a quick stop on our way to Branson. The place was hopping. Only one waitress/server but she kept everyone happy. Our food was perfect. We actually split one platter and it was the perfect amount of food. Don't let the blueberry sauce detour you. The blueberry flavor is mild and not overwhelming. Everything was really balanced and the beans were among the best we have had. They do use peanut oil but state that right out front for those with allergies. Stopped by on a road trip and they were busy when we walked in. We were welcomed right away and told he would be with us soon. The man was hustling and I appreciate that! It's half mile up the hill just past Town Creek on right side. Some of the best meaty,spare ribs..fall off the bone ever! This guy knows his BBQ! I got 1/2 lb of brisket (to go) yesterday and when I opened the box, the presentation was very nice with the meat sliced just perfect with the sauce and pickles. I eat a lot of barbecue from Kansas City. This place here in Clinton Missouri has some of the best tasting barbecue I've had. I would rate a full five stars except they never answer the phone and the restaurant hours are inconsistent. The only way to know whether or not they're open it's the physically drive to the restaurant and check. The place was fairly priced. That wasn't the issue. My problem was that me and another person waited for our food for about 30-45 minutes. They were not that busy either. We both had the special for that day; 4 ribs, fries, and a side. I had the potato salad and my friend had the baked beans. My potato salad tasted like it came from a tub at Walmart. The fries were so over done I couldn't even get through them. The ribs were actually the worst part of this meal. They were smothered in what I can only assume was a homemade bbq sauce. It was gritty and so sweet that it tasted like there was too much brown sugar. The sauce, unfortunately, could not mask the taste of these ribs. They were completely burned and all you could taste was ash. They weren't the good kind of charred, as one expects with good bbq. The meat on these ribs was so tough and I had the most difficult time getting it off the bone. I made it through about 2 of the 4 ribs before I called it quits. I didn't even want to take any of it with me. I will never eat at this place again in my life. You couldn't pay me enough. I'd rather set my mouth on fire. read more
