Simple order and in a hurry on a Sunday at 5 pm. Not busy. 3 cars in the lot. Diet cherry limeade- route 44 size. Paid $4, which is crazy but I did it anyway because I like the slice of lime and maraschino cherry they add. 8 minutes after placing order I left car to seat was the issue. They were just opening the door to bring it out. Got a few miles on my way- opened the lid to NOT find a lime or cherry. Disappointing at minimum. Won't be back but if I ever go to another sonic I'll be sure to tell them to get it right. read more

It's gone down hill so fast. The service is super slow and the quality is not the best. Waited 30 mins on a burrito. Even though they updated the screen that they were on the way it still took them a hot minute to come out. There are so many people that have complained about having to wait on just drinks for over 20 mins when there was no customers here. The hiring manager needs to start drug testing their employees as you can tell that they are definitely Wiggin out when they bring your order out. And they hired a person who loves to steal. I had to wait nearly 40 mins one day for food even though some people pulled in 10 mins after me got their food before me . And my food wasn't even hot! When I asked about a refund one time they told me to call a number for customer service. And when I did. The number didn't even work! So then I was out of 30$! I will not be back! Customer service was good, but the food was horrible. Ordered a BLT and Crispy Chicken sandwich. BLT: bacon looked liked it was the scraps left in the bottom of the pan crumbled up in 1 inch pieces, topped with a spoonful of lettuce and bread soaked in grease. So, yeah I got food poisoning. I would give a zero if possible. We were traveling to Branson and decided to eat at sonic in Clinton Missouri, and was really disappointed in the service. We pulled& pushed the button and the message said that they would be with us in a minute after 15 minutes we left and went to Wendy's. I learned later that they do not use the car hop anymore. You have to either use the app and order your food or go through the drive-through. The car hops were walking around taking orders out one of them could've stopped and told us that, but would not take the time to help us. The least you could do is put a sign on the menus and turn the damn button off. We will never ever ever ever stop there again. By the way, our Wendy's was very good food. read more

The reason I gave sonic a 2 star rating was because of the food service. My family and I decided that we were going to sonic on Halloween. When we got there the app was not working. We pushed the button to order because of the app and it took 2 minutes at least for someone to get on. Once we finally got the order kind of in with the delay of the girl on the other side. We tried to pay and the card did not register. It could have been the card or even the machine. Also when we got food there were no sauces. There have been more than one issues from this sonic over the years that need to be fixed. read more

We stopped by Sonic on the way down and on the way back from Branson. It was absolutely mobbed by guests but the workers were incredible. Food was delivered fast and accurately. One person came around with extra napkins and asking if we needed anything else. I travel extensively throughout the state, and eat at a lot of Sonics. Clinton, MO has by far the best I've encountered. Service is friendly & lightning fast. Carhops and order takers are friendly, well groomed, and very intent on making each customer happy. If six stars were available, I'd award one to this location! read more
