Consistently out of stock (and without notifying me) of auto-renew prescriptions, sometimes causing me to run out of the medication. The latest CVS f-up: I was prescribed an oral and a topical antibiotic for an abrasion that had become infected. I am diabetic and infections are a very serious matter. The doc called in the prescription to the 105 Main Street location. The oral med was in stock, but the topical was not. The pharmacist suggested that I come back in a week, as they were expecting to receive a shipment. Did you get that? They wanted me to WAIT A WEEK to get an antibiotic for an infection. Totally unacceptable. They somewhat reluctantly agreed to check other locations to see if it was in stock. The closest was in Framingham. I asked to have the pharmacist transfer the prescription to that location and was told the Framingham store would put it on hold for me and that a transfer wasn't necessary. Spoiler alert: it was necessary. I drove to Framingham and was told they had no information about this, had not put the medication aside, and had no way to access the prescription. By then, the Maynard pharmacy was closed and there was no way to have the two speak to sort this out. Not sure if it's incompetence, laziness, indifference to patient needs, or out-right malice, but this is a pharmacy to avoid.

Anyway, I'm extremely disappointed with this store regarding the stocking of the store, layout of the parking lot, checkout lines, and the coupon machine. What I thought would be a two minute in and out trip to CVS ended up taking me fifteen minutes.... and was honestly, really annoying. First, entering this place is like a maze. The entrance and parking lot are behind the store, and the parking lot is consistently jam packed, busy, and a cluster of people attempting to park. Not an enjoyable scene. Second, entering the store, there was a line of eight people. It's a week before Christmas and you have three registers open, and a store full of people waiting to checkout and then go do more important things they need to. Seriously annoying. After I finished shopping the line had moved some and there was only about five people in line, but still ridiculous. Third, the coupon machine was out of paper or not working correctly and didn't feed me out my coupons. So I had to walk to the far other end of the store to get the much awaited coupons. Also inconvenient, but not really a shock... is this place run by clowns? Fourth, many empty shelves throughout the food section and the vitamin section. They are busy, but if this is a trend (and from the other reviews it seems so), then corporate (which is only about 45 minutes away) should know to send this CVS more inventory in certain departments. Running out of Dove Chocolate and Allergy relief is ridiculous. Had to stop another place to get it, which defeats even going to CVS in the first place. Honestly, not a pleasant place to shop and much more of an annoyance. While I haven't visited either, the Rite Aid on Route 62 and CVS on Great Road HAVE to be somewhat better. 2 stars.

It was not difficult at all to overhear him, as he was talking ridiculously loud, almost as if he wanted everyone to hear him. He was complaining in a grandiose tone about problems and inconveniences caused by people he works with. He didn't use names but did use a smattering of very inappropriate language; the entire display he put on was completely inappropriate and felt very uncomfortable. I'm glad my children were not with me at the time.

I had preregistered online and told to bring a 2-page questionaire, which I filled out and brought with me, along with my insurance card and vaccination card. When I got to the counter I was asked to show my Medicare card (which was I had not been asked to bring with me). All the info from the card was on the questionnaire, but they still refused to give me the booster shot. I gave up and went home. There was a great deal of grumbling from other customers who had equally long waits, for prescriptions and other vaccinations, and who had to deal with rude and clueless employees.
