Then, she tried to rip the chunk of wax piece by piece, then tried to cut it off, both of which were extremely painful. I was trying to stay calm and hold back tears but was sweating profusely and shaking. She kept apologizing, saying "I'll never forget this", then blamed the thickness of my hair and told me this could be prevented if I purchase the salon exfoliating wipes. After 20 mins of failed attempts, she called in her manager. While I was on the table still, they used me as a "teaching moment" or training. If the technician needs training, why is she working with paying clients? Finally, they got it off and had to leave patches of hair because my skin was inflamed. I was trying to stay calm to not make the technician feel bad, but she should not be working with clients. During my wax, I feared serious injury and did not feel safe. I was expecting to have my service comped and was shocked when it wasn't. So, I paid and left a tip, I really didn't know what to say. I've had many waxes before at 8 different salons but NEVER an experience like this. This felt unsafe and reckless. I'm disappointed in the training of the staff. I should not have had to experience this. I most likely won't be getting a Brazilian again... at European Wax or anywhere else. Upon arrival there was a note on the door that said "one person only". She was with our 8 year old and the email mentioned NOTHING about this requirement. She was not about to leave our sone alone and the person that greatest her gave no empathy emotion and ended up turning her away. She said "we sent you an email" and double checking that email it said nothing about the restrictions.
