I used to tan a lot in high school and then sometimes in university before trips, so i am not new to the process. I was heading to vegas so I thought I would get a base tan before I fried in the hot desert sun. I really enjoy researching tanning lotions. I love the different kinds, the packaging, the smells, the intended benefits, everything. When I arrived, I noticed all the bottles of lotion were behind the desk. So I asked the girl working there if she had any firming lotions. She didn't know, but recommended a product to me because she liked the smell. I was a bit underwhelmed by this because I feel she should have known her products a bit better and fit something that was a bit more what I was looking for. She didn't take much time to look into it at all. I only purchased sample lotions because I wasn't going to put down a ton of money on something I may not enjoy. I had minutes for the monster beds, I have seen these types of beds on their website and when I got into the room, I was pretty disappointed. The stand up bed's floor was pretty sunken in, and very heavily used. I once asked for the lay-down bed and I was warned that the fan was broken in it. I used it anyways but noticed the acrylic was in such a horrible state. This is partly due to people wearing the wrong type of products in the bed, but still, I've never ever seen beds in this shape before. There are little things that just kind of bothered me when I went there. Like I would call ahead and make an appointment for a specific time and when I arrived, the girl had no idea who I was, and I had to recite my 6 digit ID number to her each time. It wasn't very welcoming. The salon is dark and dated, I think it could use a LOT of work. I will be choosing a different salon the next time I decide to tan again.

The hype was worth it. The food was delicious, the ambiance was out of this world and the waitstaff was attentive yet unobtrusive and was able to anticipate our needs and keep us happy. Located in the Elora Mill area which seems to be a heritage site and has a quaint historic town vibe. Parking isn't available directly next to the restaurant so you park and walk across a bridge over a beautiful water mill feature which is obviously the name sake for the area. Parking isn't available complimentary so don't forget to get it validated once you walk in or are leaving the restaurant but obviously before you get back to your car otherwise your only options will be to pay out of pocket or make the trek over the bridge and back to the restaurant. Neither option is great and will leave a sour taste after your lovely experience at the restaurant. We had appetizers, drinks and main meals. My 3 brunch companions went with vegan options but I opted for a chicken dish which exceeded my expectations with its sheer size and deliciousness. The chicken was breaded and what was obvious to me was that the panko breading was well seasoned and elevated the dish to another level. The accompanying fries were divine. I also had a small salad which was fresh and crunchy and delicious. The entire experience was a 20 out of 10. From our seat overlooking the water we could see patrons at the associated spa in their robes on the roof deck enjoying what looked to be food from the restaurant. I could see myself coming back for the spa and lunch experience with libations on the roof deck.
