I have been tanning with CPT for about 7 years now. I started with the 22 mile road location, moved to the Livernois location, and frequent the Mound location as I work out at the gym in the same plaza. Every time I go into the Mound location, I am strictly guided on what to tan in, amount of time, and bombarded with unnecessary questions. Again, I have been tanning for about 7 years and I know what levels I can do, how much time, lotions, etc. etc.. If I want to up my time for the bed by ONE minute, I should be able to do so. I understand if I wanted to make a jump like 5 minutes but ONE?? Not to mention that who I assume is the manager of the Mound location I have seen outside the salon on multiple occasions on her phone and smoking. I feel that doing that is a bad look for the company considering she is on the clock and wearing CPT apparel. I will never go back to this location. It is a shame to have to write this as I love CPT but that location is nothing but problematic. I will be sticking to my Livernois location from now on as they treat me like a human, and not just a person with a dollar sign over my head.

Now that ownership has changed, they suddenly refuse to honor the sessions I already paid for. As a customer, that feels incredibly unfair and misleading. Ownership changes shouldn't become the customer's problem--especially when money has already been spent in good faith. A simple effort to honor existing packages or offer some type of resolution would have gone a long way. Instead, I was basically told "too bad." And they are the same bulbs. Every time I go in, I know what bulbs they are. So you want customers to pay what you are asking for but you won't give the service. I use room 6 because it is the highest level of tanning that you have and I'm not getting the full results because there are a lot of bulbs burnt out. I purchased the best package and it expires on August 1st and I won't be back. There are plenty of tanning salons out there! Please give your customers what they pay for.

Girl working desk wasn't super confident in her knowledge or setting it up but was friendly and trying so not sure if it was done correctly but glad this was only $10 for first time going there. I also questioned the hydration spray not being at the end, she said it was built in which where I go it's done at the end. Even family today said they can't at all tell I had it done. I would not go again to this chain and really bummed since I leave for a birthday trip tomorrow and wanted a nice glow. The bulbs were never updated and the beds never get warm. At this particular location the staff is very friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing the best tanning package and lotion/bronzer for your skin. All the beds and stand ups are cleaned after each use, along with each room. The bulbs are changed frequently. A lot of customers use this salon and at times it gets pretty busy but the wait is pretty short since theres so many rooms! Chili Peppers offers various sales several times a month (BOGO and 1/2 off!) Good for packages, visits, eyewear and lotion. The prices aren't very high to me, especially when there is sales. Also, sign up for the Eclub to get email notifications of sales and specials. What I really love is the staff always makes you welcome by greeting you when you enter and exit the salon. Makes you always feel like coming back. Definitely the darkest tan around!
