I made a transfer from my checkings to my savings, and it disappeared. I called the next morning and they stated that I had to track down the account to request a refund since I was the one who authorized the transfer. But of course I did because I thought I was transferring to MY savings, not someone else's. After a frustrating phone call, no call back from the manager, no apology, I called back and finally spoke with someone helpful. Turns out they somehow linked my sister's account to mine. Thankfully, the money wasn't lost but the fact that this even happened is outrageous and then for them to act as though they weren't at fault was inhumane. Leave before they screw you over too.

Don't you think since this has NEVER been done before (suddenly $14,000 taken out 3 withdrawals in a short time) they would be contacted immediately??? Of course not -- too much work!! When Mother found out (because she just made deposit and saw withdrawals on her receipt) --contacted KCU -- all she was told is the manager is investigating the matter. HELLO???? How hard and how long would it take ESPECIALLY when it was made plain to the operator that mom spoke to--IT WAS FRAUD!! Manager was supposed to call and update a very nervous customer before the weekend. Well 5:00 must have rolled around so Manager had a choice call My Mom, or forget about her and go home--Of course she choose to ignore her stressed out customer rather than take 1 minute out of her valuable time!! :( The so called "Manager" went home to enjoy the weekend--Time for mom and any wise customers to take her money out of that incompetent bank!!!

Have had my debit card compromised twice in 2 years and the fraud detection company told me to call them to cancel my debit card. I called both locations in Sheboygan and Manitowoc. No one answered. I was on hold for over an hour and a half waiting. I finally got a reply an hour after trying to call when I sent a snarky email. I'm looking for a new financial institution.

Most transactions take place over a screen to a teller in a remote location. Meeting live is still possible, usually by having to make an appointment.

We used US Banks estate planning service before my stepfather passed, now he is gone and they lost…read morethe beneficiary designations, attempted to force opening a probate (contrary to WI state law) through misinformation and lies, when presented with the transfer by affidavit at a local branch I was told I needed to call about 8 different departments (waiting on hold for over an hour each). When I was finally able to access accounts and info I was told they would not accept checks for deposit(or cashing) in owners name or estate of (my bank said in WI they should be accepting checks in the owners name as long as the account is open and active, as that is the intent of an transfer by affidavit). I again was dirrected to call about the loan, I was told that the loan would not go into default due to my informing them fo the death and information would be sent, so I waited. Next letter LOAN IN DEFAULT! Still no further info sent. Use US Bank if you want your loved ones to be lied to and manipulated in their time of grief! Great business ethics kick em when they are down, kick em twice if you can make a buck.

Customer service low priority. Paid off a Short Term Equipment Acquisition Loan early as we sold the equipment and they charged us $6,000 in pre payment penalties. Taking all of our business elsewhere. Gave them multiple opportunities to make it right for us before taking to social outlets. They expressed no interest in taking care of a good customer (Never a late payment, not one). Business Owners beware. Don't go here. I promise you I will regret it. There are MANY more banks that actually care and work with you like a human and work deals beneficial to all parties. They just want a quick dime and find a new customer.

Apparently emails to an inbox that don't get checked, an absolute lack of follow-up, and repeated requests to FAX (it's 2023 who still uses a FAX MACHINE to conduct business) forms, which seem to never arrive. If I didn't know better, I'd swear this bank is just losing my account closure requests just to hold onto my balance and collect the $4.50 monthly fee for as long as they can. I've had multiple HSAs better than HSA Bank's.

It's been a nightmare to get this account back open. Inadequate customer service and no one keeps a record of notes.
