My husband says that they are the best-topped Sheetz dogs he's ever had (we drive out of our way a little to get them here). They stack up my sandwich quite nice and neat at this location. Sometimes, at other locations, they throw the toppings on all sloppy and with no consideration for portion misbalance (they'll put 2 olives on a sandwich but then 45 pickles). Not here! I think they actually care about the quality here. They've renovated this location in recent years. Lots of seating both inside and out. The store is located near the IUP campus so that must be a nice little place to stop for some midnight French fries or booze or whatever folks are into these days. Instead a seed was planted here and cultivated and up sprung a gas station/convenience store. A common sight along this corridor that connects Pittsburgh to the rest of western Pennsylvania. Speedway has steadily been increasing their presence in the area and usually within distance to create competition with a nearby gas station chain. There is no difference in this area. New Alexandria has been kind of an oasis while driving Route 22 with it's one gas station that was open 24/7. With the addition of this station you now have a choice. Speedway is similar to the competition up the road in several ways. Open 24/7, offers food, and has a wide selection of items that you can grab and go. However this spot has a couple variations. First they offer diesel for the bigger vehicles on the roadways, so the lot is larger. Another is that they offer a sit down area to eat your food. Speaking of the food. Some of the items are heavy on the stomach and others are sparse on the toppings. Quick in the sense that once you order, by the time you pay your items are ready for pick up. One thing I do not like about this place is the fact that you do not seem to get great gas mileage from the fuel. Once I filled up here and went on my way, I basically needed to fuel up the next day. In my travels what would be a complete circuit for me, I used a half a tank of gas. Not great when I usually use much less than that. In the future, I will go elsewhere for fuel for my car, but I may end up stopping in for a quick item of fuel for myself.

They took over the old movie theater, and now the place is HUGE!! They even kept one of the theaters intact so they can have presentations, and show motorcycle live-streams and movies . . . COOL! My reason for coming here today was two-fold. 1) To buy a new helmet (which I found, one I liked, and in my size, that wasn't too expensive), and 2) to test ride a new Triumph Scrambler 400 XC during their Demo Days. I had fun riding the bike, and I even received a free gift, a little Triumph tool kit. Lyndsay in parts was excellent, and she even gave me a Veteran Discount when purchasing my new helmet.
