A brief stop for me to use the restroom and grab a cold drink. The men's room was mostly clean, with an overflowing trash can and water on the floor. Not the worst I've seen. The store itself was in good shape with stocked and leveled shelves. I had no problem picking out a cold water and even better, it's on special if I buy two. Okay, we'll do that. Like other Sheetz, the light poles have a Level 1 charger so we spent a half hour or so watching the house battery on the Sprinter go from 15% to 30% before it was time to continue onwards. I'm a HUGE Sheetz guy! As a native yinzer, I feel very territorial and proud of this franchise. That's why I was particularly underwhelmed with this location. The interior is nice, and the speed was quite quick. The issue was the quality of the food. The bread on the turkey sub was stale. The tortillas were also hard. And the fries were soggy even when they arrived to me. I do expect higher quality food during my Sheetz runs. I also think the franchise as a whole underwhelms when it comes to burgers. They always taste kind of boiled instead of grilled. read more

I give sheetz a 4.0/5 stars I think overall the food and taste was deserving of a 4 star rating. The main thing I ordered was the chicken tender hoagie which was very good. And it was toasted and warm to my liking. The sausage burrito wasn't phenomenal. Kind of tasted like a hot pocket and frozen overall before heating up. But the service was good if you're in a rush you can use the self checkout line and get your food within minutes read more

As far as gas stations go, this extremely clean and not over crowded. The service is extremely good and the food is delicious ( sandwiches). I definitely recommend as a good place to load up on food and gas for your your day. read more

Ordered online one item and drove to drive thru. Waited in line behind car that ordered at drive thru kiosk for 25 minutes (for a drink)! There needs to be way for people that place larger food orders to wait on the side or something! This was written on 6 July 2018 Friday. On or about 2 May 2018, an employee on a smoking break caused a fire. The damaged building is currently not there. My guess is that they are redesigning a new building because it's probably cheaper to put up a new one with an improved design rather than patch together the old one. The gas pumps and pump canopy is still there. So, that tells me that corporate in Altoona, PA decides to keep that location. How long will it take to build a new structure? I have no idea. Always a busy place. They try to keep up with the high volume, but sometimes it gets dirty inside. On the up side, they have good beer prices. Gas prices are good. However, the horrendous music that they were blaring in the parking lot was unbearable. It was loud enough that I couldn't escape it by getting in my car. I will think strongly about going to one of the other gas stations nearby if the terrible music is still present the next time I am in that area. read more

This is the worst managed Sheetz in Frederick county. I need my gas receipts for work and they NEVER have paper so I have to go in the store and stand in line for a receipts. Makes me very angry as I have complained to all who works there dozens of times. Also, the trash cans are ALWAYS overflowing and the trash blows all over the parking lot. Stopped by on the way to WV for whitewater kayaking. Another pretty typical Sheetz with MadeToGo foods, a wall of coffee drinks and frozen drinks, donuts and other convenience store food. This location was pretty busy. Lots of people here on a Sunday but the lines weren't too terrible. The bathrooms are small though, one stall each. But generally pretty clean. read more

Certain cashier Ashley likes to think she can discriminate when selling alcohol and she can pick and choose when she wants to. If a young adult age 24 walks in and asks what time do you stop selling alcohol the answer shouldn't be 1:30 but not for you. Claiming because two minors walked in, in front of him and went to slurpee machines. That is discrimination because they don't do that for everyone or has signs up saying "ALL persons buying alcohol can not have ANY minors present or have any minors with them at ALL". She is not the police to determine whether he's buying for minors!!! He wanted to try a can Margaritta and he's old enough. He should be allowed. This is a convenient store not a bar!!! Usually stop here back and forth between Jersey and WV. Normally is kept pretty clean and good service. Last time was first time I had any issue. Waited about 15 minutes for clerk to register me even after catching their attention. Then another 10 minutes to get my receipt for gas so I could leave. Normally is good service though. read more

I always stop here for food and it takes forever!! If you're in a rush DON'T get made to order food, I'm always late to school due to it. The staff isn't friendly but they're not rude. Parking lot is stressful. Good convenient selections for drinks, snacks, and alcohol. Food is good, orders are always correct. But it's so slow... i never hear a peep from the workers and they always seem to be hustling and nice. I only find two reasons to do reviews. The place was/is really good, or really bad. This place makes me crazy! The parking lot is nuts! Difficult to navigate just to get gas. The store itself isn't any easier. I have participated in the customer service industry all my life. The majority of people that are employed here have no idea what good customer service is. Most of us commute to work daily. When you stop to gas up and get a cup of coffee, would you appreciate standing FIVE minutes at the counter unacknowledged waiting to pay? This is SOP for the morning shift at this store. I pay for my gas at the pump and figure I will run inside to quickly grab a cup while the gas is pumping. Don't kid yourself! There is never anything quick or convenient about that. The employees will ignore the customers standing at the counter until the line is backed up four or five people deep. The afternoons are a completely different story. There are twice as many people working in the afternoon and the line will be eight to twelve people deep while the only cashier is having a conversation with a "friend" (leaning over the counter in a very unattractive position) completely disrespecting everyone in line while all the other staff members are oblivious. There are two cash registers! Why isn't there two cashiers? And tell your friend his pose is not attractive and go sit somewhere until you have a break.
