After having my first daughter 3 years ago (first transfer was successful with Dr. Levine after many months struggles with another clinic), my husband and i were ready to have a second baby. We knew immediately i would need to use our frozen embryo as i cannot ovulate on my own due to PCOS. Similar to my first baby, a healthy baby boy was transferred and he is now 4 months old completing our family. I can't say enough about him, as a doctor. He is confident, thorough, intelligent and treats you like family. While the process is never easy, and there may have been minor bumps in the road, he was always one step ahead of the game with the next steps. He even checked on me while on vacation! I am lucky to have found him as a doctor and friend. I would be remiss to leave out praise for his entire team. His partner, Dr. Talebian treated me as i was one of her patients. His nurses are exceptional; always available to chat, answer questions, and feel comfortable (a special shout out to Julie!). Going through this twice now, i could not recommend another doctor or practice, they are the BEST there is. They have helped all my dreams come true!

"Patients don't care how much you know until they know how much you care" -…read more I highly recommend Dr. Weidenbaum. Not only is she an extremely knowledgeable provider with an extensive education from world class institutions, she REALLY shows you that she cares. My appointments with her represent the most human, genuine interaction I have had with a clinician in a long time. She is warm, takes her time to ask you questions and LISTENS To your responses, provides clear, everyday language to explain your conditions to you and the recommended course of care. She does not make unilateral medical decisions on your behalf, but rather engages in patient-centered care where she presents you, the patient with the options, each options associated risks and benefits, acknowledges your own individual preferences, and then asks YOU the patient which treatment option sounds best to you. If we had more doctors like Dr. Weidenbaum, our healthcare system would be a much better, more efficient and less stressful experience for us all. I hope NYU Langone has her training the next generation of providers. Dr. Weidenbaum provides flexibility of appointments- offering virtual visits for consultations and follow up visits to discuss results- and in person appointments when exams and testing are needed. I will also say, this was a "top-down" experience. Dr. Weidenbaum's CNA was very pleasant and professional - and also clearly very well trained. I am not the best patient when it comes to blood draws- not the best veins and vasovagal syndrome that results in fainting (and sometimes vomiting!) when I have my blood drawn. Many phlebotomists struggle with my labs. Dr. Weidenbaum's CNA was incredible. She got a vein and my blood collected in 10 seconds! No slapping my arm, no repositioning the tourniquet and consequently- no fainting! I wish I could go to her for the labs ordered by my other providers! Dr. Weidenbaum's administrative staff- Crystal and Jennifer are equally great. They are incredibly responsive, clear in their communication and easy to work with. I really wish the providers I see regularly at NYU Langone Health were more like Dr. Weidenbaum's team. The only reason I took off 1 star for office and staff- and I don't believe this is Dr. Weidenbaum's staff directly - is that I have unfortunately experienced a great headache of a billing issue subsequent to my visits with Dr. Weidenbaum. This is an issue with NYU Langone Health's Physician Billing Department, which I am confident Dr. Weidenbaum has no authority over. I have had similar issues when I visit other providers at NYU Langone Health. My insurance carrier has sent me EOBs (explanation of benefits) showing full payment for my visits, and. NYU Physician billing is sending me overdue notices saying my bills have not been paid. This is really not a reflection of Dr. Weidenbaum nor her team, but rather of NYU Physician billing department, which is not based in New York. Unfortunately, I do know from experience with NYU that there is always the potential for a billing issue when I go to an NYU provider. Hopefully they can resolve their issues as I would not want others to be deterred from seeing such a wonderful provider as a result of the hospital system's administrative issues.

I finally feel like a person rather than a number. They really care about answering all of my questions and have been a great help through my experience with them so far. I'm so happy I decided to go through with IVF here. Wish me luck .

She also was rather rude when I asked a simple question about fibroids, as I was not familiar with how they form. I am honestly confused by all the rave reviews about her bedside manner because the first impression she gave was horrible. Please note I'm not looking for someone to hold my hand and coddle me but there was a distinct impression I got that she wasn't actually interested in any of my concerns or questions. The office was also disorganized and could not follow a simple email thread about a possible plan for next steps After two visits that was enough for us and we did not pursue anything further. I did a lot of research before deciding to reach out to NYCIVF. One of the many important aspects for me was not feeling like a number and to be able to have a more personalized experience with both the Dr. and members of the team. As soon as I called NYCIVF I felt like we would be taken care of. We were able to get an appointment within a short time frame, they looked into whether our insurance was accepted and were personable on the phone. Upon meeting Dr. Alyaa, I (for the first appt I went by myself as my husband was traveling) could tell she was a highly educated individual with confidence, faith and warmth. She wanted to get to know who we were and help us get to our end goal of having a baby. She right away put me at ease that I was not "old" (34) and that everything would work out fine. We also decided to start tests right away as there was no point in waiting. I really liked her go ahead attitude. In the end my husband and I underwent IVF and were successful on the 2 FET (no one's fault on the 1st, it just happens and is poor luck). Our pregnancy occurred about 6 months after the initial appt (very quick!!) Below are a number of reasons why I would choose NYCIVF for your fertility needs: 1) Dr. Alyaa is incredibly smart and wonderful at what she does. She keeps your spirits up during an emotional rollercoaster of a time 2) Dr. Alyaa does what is best for you and your partner and getting you to the end goal of pregnancy as quickly as possible. She will not have you go through IUI first unless she thinks there is a chance for success. 3) The team knows how to deal with insurance - this was one of our biggest complaints, our insurance company, like many can be a pain! They handled corresponding with them an insuring procedures and medicines were properly covered. 4) If you call, the team knows you on a first name basis you are by no means a number 5) The office is small and you will only see Dr. Alyaa. I never had to wait for my appt. I was always taken right away. 6) The office is really pretty and welcoming! Its location is in a nice area and the office and operating room are kept clean and sterile. 7) Dr. Alyaa responds to emails in RAPID speed, as does the rest of the team 8) Appts can be scheduled at your convenience. They are flexible to help those who are in demanding jobs and can only step away prior to work or during lunch time We will forever be thankful for Dr. Alyaa and the team. We still keep in touch and plan to as they become and amazing part of the pregnancy journey. I would recommend NYCIVF without a doubt to anyone who is struggling with fertility. It's a very emotional ride and you want someone you trust and this is 100% the place.

NYC is so overpopulated that so many doctors treat you as a number but not at Kofinas Fertility! I was pleasantly surprised with the type of care I was given from my doctor, Jason Kofinas, and all of the other doctors at Kofinas Fertility including Dr. Montes, Dr. B, Dr. Narine, and Dr. Harry. Prior to going to Kofinas I had seen terrible obs who brushed off my concerns and swept them under the rug which ultimately led me to Dr. Kofinas. He gave me his email address which is unheard of! Of course, I never abused this privilege but it was comforting to know I could reach out to him with any questions or concerns and receive a response. All of these doctors are nothing short of amazing! Through the most difficult times of my life these doctors reassured me they'd get me to where I wanted to be and they were right about that! Dr. Kofinas is very confident in his decisions and always steered me in the right direction. A few of the nurses I saw regularly were Michelle, Luz, Joti, Juany and Tierney who were always very helpful. I always preferred Michelle and Luz to take my blood because of my thin, rolling veins and they'd always get it on the first try! Angela was also another nurse who brought good energy whether I saw her at the Brooklyn location or downtown. Stacey, the front desk supervisor has been a gem answering all of my questions and helping me with whatever concerns I've had along the way regarding payment, insurance, etc. Maria was also so wonderful to see bright and early in the morning. Her energy and positive vibes helped me through my journey and I'm sure she didn't even know it. I believe Kofinas Fertility is the best there is in NYC. Their approach is very unique and completely individualized to the patient. I'm grateful for all of the tests Dr. Kofinas put me through to rule out certain issues and get to the root of it all. We were referred to Dr. Daniel Stein by a friend and we could not have been happier with our experience. Dr. Stein and his team showed a great deal of compassion and warmth. It's easy to think that in the field of infertility compassion and warmth should be a given. When you think, however, that this is RMA's everyday it could be easy to lose sight of each family's struggle. Dr. Stein does not lose sight of that struggle, nor does his team. We felt truly cared for even though we were one of hundreds (?) thousands (?) that RMA was treating at the time. In working with Dr. Stein, he explained everything clearly and handled our questions respectfully. Whenever a choice was to be made, Dr. Stein outlined the options and guided us as to which path he thought was best for our case. I can't say enough about how appreciative I am for Dr. Stein's work with us. The rest of the team was wonderful as well. The nurses, physician assistants and counselors were friendly and good-humored, which when you're going through this experience is not something to take for granted. If I could have met the embryologist/s who handled our case, I'd likely give them the biggest hug as I am eternally grateful for the care they gave our baby when she was just a cluster of cells; a cluster of cells that belonged to a nameless, faceless couple and was nonetheless cared for diligently. I think my only hint of disappointment has been with the financial office. While everything else in our journey felt seamless, dealing with the finances felt clunky. I hope that whomever reads this review is inclined to use RMA and benefits from their services.

The clinic was warm and welcoming, and I Felt that all my questions were answered. The cost was very competitive and I felt secure in my reproductive future when I was able to freeze 12 eggs. However, this feeling of positivity changed when I decided to use the eggs 6 years later. By this time I had moved to Arizona, so the eggs were shipped to a new fertility clinic in the Phoenix area. Once that clinic received the eggs (and knowing my intent to fertilize them), they informed me that the eggs are all "granular" (all 12 of them) and that they therefore had lowered likelihood of yielding viable embryos. They said this as if I already knew it, because the embryologist at Extend Fertility had written "granular" in the notes section next to each egg. However, no one at Extend told ME this; it was just quietly written on my report. Had I known this at the time, I likely would have undergone a second egg retrieval. I contacted someone from Extend to voice my frustration about this; these eggs had been my insurance policy, so to speak, and now at 41 years old I was learning someone at Extend knew they looked like poor quality, wrote this on my report, but did not tell me. The doctor at Extend said that there is no evidence granular eggs is a significant factor to note; however, as my fertility doctor in Phoenix pointed out - if that is the case, why was it, in fact, noted? My fertility doctor in Phoenix said if he had a patient with granular eggs, he would let that patient know. I wish Extend had done that for me. Ultimately, I was left with the decision of if I did or did not want to spend thousands of dollars to fertilize eggs that had a lowered likelihood of success. My fertility clinic in Phoenix offered me an experimental procedure that was half the cost of fertilizing these questionable eggs, so I went that route, and my beautiful baby boy is beside me as I type this. So I don't type out of anger or animosity - thankfully, my story ended well. But I write this as a warning to to others that your experience at Extend might be great in the moment, but years from now when you want to actually use the eggs you froze, you might discover bad news.

They are amazing and I recommend them to anyone I hear is looking for a fertility acupuncturist. Leading up to IVF I went twice weekly for acupuncture and herbs, and they provided so much more than that also - nutrition and general health advice (following this advice was very helpful for me), treatment via acupuncture and other holistic methods for any number of non-fertility related issues (sprained ankles, teeth grinding, etc), a peaceful office, and a true interest in the particulars of my situation so that they could give the best treatment possible. Mae who does cupping and the office staff are also all wonderful. Katie and Dr. Zheng are both very scientifically minded and highly trained, and interested in staying up to date on research, learning from their patients, and integrating lots of information about your health to come up with very personalized and effective plans and advice. My insurance didn't cover this but I wanted to give one last natural try before I did the fertility drug route, it was tough but I paid out of pocket. I know a lot of women do fertility drugs and acupuncture as well. I went once a week for three months, Katie and Dr. Zheng advised me to drink the Chinese herb tea that their office made, that was an additional fee, but worth it! I'm now 28 weeks and I still see Katie and Dr. Zheng weekly as I have a shortened cervix, so we are strengthening that. I'm still drinking the teas. My OBGYN freaked out that I was going to acupuncture and drinking the teas as they warned on acupuncture "inducing labor" if the acupuncturist didn't know what he or she was doing... Well thats simply NOT the case with Dr. Zheng and crew. They know exactly what they are doing, they are careful, gentle and experienced. I totally trust them! I hear plenty of women having success stories with acupuncture and pregnancy, so this is REAL people!!! Dr. Zheng and crew, in my opinion, have the best approach and years of experience. I leave acupuncture feeling calm and in this incredible zen state. I can feel the warm energy all over my body, its truly amazing. Now this doesn't happen right away, it took a month and a half or so before my body begin to accept the acupuncture, again totally my personal feeling, so I would recommend sticking with it a bit before deciding if its for you.
