The owner was lovely -- super friendly, helpful without hovering, and so easy to talk to. You can tell she genuinely cares about what she carries and the people who walk through the door. Lots of beautiful pieces, including some unique European labels I haven't seen elsewhere. Whether you're looking for a gift or just a little "treat yourself" moment, this spot is it. I will say the prices here are a bit high, but everything here is of very high quality, and in comparison to the manufacturer or brand websites of the items I purchased, the prices were actually very close in comparison. I was able to chat with Jenny who is one of the owners of the business who told me that they offer various craft classes in the store as well as unique themed parties such as Harry Potter for kids. If attending a class is not your bag because of the pandemic then on occasion you can purchase a craft kit in store and arrange for a Zoom class on a particular day to make your craft. I'd been using 12 inch diameter, a little large for my projects, and had tried 5 in diameters -- too small . don't waste your money on amazon, ordering chinese junk 5 "" needles. come to Oakmont yarn where they'll know exactly the right needles you need. (I've been knitting for decades. And I never knew there are 9 inch circular needles. . . )

It is an excellent place to find a birthday or hostess gift. BUT- my absolute favorite time to go to Outside Inspirations is during the holiday season!! They close the store for a few days and completely overhaul it into a Christmas wonderland! There are so many great decorations and ornaments every year. It is always on my shopping list!!
