I have been buying a lot of my skincare products from TJ Maxx, like facial cleanser, toner, and face serum. TJ Maxx carries such a wide variety of premium skincare products, including Clinique, Estée Lauder, and Shiseido. I bought some organic cleanser that was significantly less expensive than what it was listed for on Amazon and high-end department stores. I have also bought gourmet food products like truffle oil, pesto, and pasta. I was a late fan and didn't really start shopping at TJ Maxx until around five years ago. TJ Maxx has been one of my favorite places to shop during the pandemic. I can pretty much find anything I'm looking for here.

Employees were extremely rude for no reason both times that I went there, went there for my very…read morefirst time a few months ago and found some true religion sweatshirts and I thought I might as well go try them on before I buy them, I walked into a changing room to put them on and some lady that worked there started slamming on the door and said that I needed to wait in line, even though there was no line nor was there a sign, second time I went there was tonight and I work six days a week eight hours a day at the Meijer across the street, thought I would go there and buy some shorts because I'm going to Japan tomorrow and don't have enough shorts, I found a really cool shirt and a Carhartt jacket along with some awesome shorts and I made sure that the store was still opened because they said they were closing at 9:30 and it was around 8:50 so I thought I was good, but then when I was about to go to the checkout lane, some lady knocked me with a cart and said they were closing and to get out and I said excuse me? Because I have never felt such terrible customer service in my life very rude by the way and she made me put all my stuff back on the shelves and told me it's because they didn't want to do any extra work and then after I did, she walked me to the door and told me to leave because they have too many people in line, why didn't she just tell me there was too many people in line as I was getting in the store? Absolutely horrible customer service and probably never going back there again. I am a paying customer and do not deserve to be treated like this!!! Now I have to buy some overpriced shorts somewhere else that is opened this late and I am at a loss.

They aren't open late (8 PM?) but that's okay. There's plenty of seating around and the place is dog friendly. Parking's pretty good but it does get backed up and busy sometimes so beware. They have a beautiful water fountain and loads of places to sit if you're waiting for someone to finish shopping or what not. While not every store appeals to me, the shopping here's decent. They've had some vacancies for a while, but that's okay. I usually come here since they have a crocs store, but I wish they had a Starbucks here which they do not have. During the holiday season, they have an exciting and wonderful Christmas tree with a well decorated mall. Better then most! I like that it's clean and well kept here, but occasionally there's a TON of teenagers running amuck which can be annoying. I think it's because most of the stores apply to a younger crowd versus older crowds. Overall a great place to grab a meal, do some quick shopping or just meet up with friends to walk around.

What was supposed to be a quick stop for my daughter turned into an unexpected family shopping…read moreadventure. My daughter wanted to browse for something cute for herself, so we stopped into Plato's Closet about 30 minutes before closing. I was a little worried we'd be rushing, but the atmosphere was still fun and relaxed despite shoppers trying to squeeze in a few last-minute treasures before the store closed. The best part was watching the shopping bug spread through the family. My daughter started browsing, then the other kids decided they wanted something too. Suddenly everyone was searching racks, comparing deals, and showing each other what they found. Lol. I wasn't even planning to shop, but I ended up finding a pair of Calvin Klein work slacks for The Mr. for $18; I couldn't pass on a deal like that. That's one of the things I love about stores like Plato's Closet--you never know what you're going to find, and sometimes the best deal is the one you weren't looking for. Years ago, when my oldest son was a baby, he grew so quickly that I regularly sold his outgrown clothes to Plato's Closet. Walking through the store now and watching that same child use his own money to buy clothes for himself was really special. The staff deserve a shoutout as well. Even though it was close to closing time and they were clearly working on end-of-night tasks, everyone we spoke with was friendly, patient, and welcoming. The cashier was especially kind while helping the kids check out their purchases, which I appreciated. We came in looking for one item and left with several happy shoppers. Dont even bother bringing your clothes here…read more I brought in 2 garbage bags full of clothes that I hadnt worn in a while. And i was excited to make at least something from it. They made me wait 2 whole hours to tell me that they aren't taking a single thing!!!!!! So then I was confused because there were a lot of good brands, and my clothes were in good condition. So I asked her why and she looked me dead in my face and said "sorry we dont take KIDS clothes" I honestly felt so disrespected (for the record i am 24) & I have not went back there since. Clearly they dont have any kids clothes that would fit me decently. I guess only shop here if you fit inside their little box. Im good off that tho!!
