We had heard about it from a friend and wanted to check out their all day crafting event. It was amazing! The spot is a renovated old pub now turned craft/music/hang out room geared toward events for the community. As we walked it the hallway opened up to the big room with various crafts happening at each table. The walls are a really fun brick with various unusual Decour and light atmosphere. It has the vibe of a very cool coffee shop or funky music venue. There is a Bar area where they often have snacks and Echo Effect items for sale Like T-shirts etc. We had reserved a space through Facebook Messenger ahead of time and thus went straight to the painting area. The event was relatively priced for the fun atmosphere and painting class we received. The teacher Dawn Adams did an amazing job taking her time to interact with everyone and giving us multiple options for each step. It was really relaxed so we were able to get up and get snacks go to the bathroom and come in and out during the training. They had stain glass, jewelry making, quilting and other things going on at different tables which was fun to check out as well. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon and we will definitely return. The best way to check out options is to go to their Facebook page and look at upcoming events. Next time will probably check out one of the cool new Shelbyville food spots to round out the event.

The mashed potatoes and white chicken gravy was very good. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The woman bartender was not so much. The male bartender was nice & friendly. The woman was rude and not helpful at all. She told me not very nice things about the clients which is very un-business like. The family provided beer and wine and soft drinks. The cash bar was way over priced. I have gone to many events at the Casino/Racetrack, and they don't charge nearly as much for drinks as this place. $7 for a very small rum and coke. and $5 for a half glass of cheap white Zinfandel.

Jeff, Brad and Christina were always available to answer any questions we had leading up until our day. They went above and beyond to assist with unexpected needs and were always around to orchestrate the entire day/evening. Jeff even pulled me aside during the reception to give me a heads up that the sun was setting and the clouds were turning a pretty pink... I was able to grab the photographer just in time! The owners are more than flexible when it comes to satisfying the bride and groom's needs not only leading up to the wedding, but also the day of. I know how important it was for the bride to have an intimate ceremony and they were able to accommodate by offering a quaint area near the creek for a much more quiet and romantic moment. I specifically remember during the ceremony that there was a light breeze during the vows and everything was so calm and gorgeous as the leaves in the trees blew quietly. UGH so beautiful! After the short, perfect ceremony, we went into the main barn onsite for the reception. Everything was set up perfectly and the owners and coordinator made sure everything was to the newlyweds liking. I don't think I saw them rest all night! The grounds are manicured to perfection and I know they spray for mosquitoes quite often as well. A full length (more like floor-to-ceiling) mirror that they have for the bride and bridal party is more than enough along with individual makeup stations so that each gal has her own space. The bridal suite along with the groomsmen suite is air conditioned and comes with a private bathroom with shower so that you can get ready and take your time if you want to. After talking with other venues after this debacle we were informed this is a normal thing for Honey Creek Haven and others like them. My suggestion for anyone seriously considering this place make sure you dot your "I's" and cross your "T's", their contract is very vague and they use this to try and make extra money on you.
