They have all different type of site options from full hookup with concrete pads to electric only grassy sites to camp sites with horse friendly tie areas. I would guess there are over 500 sites here. Plus they have very nice cabins to rent. There is a marina for those that want to dock seasonally and a boat ramp for those that just want to put their boat in for the day. No extra cost if camping for the weekend. You can also kayak or rent kayaks and pontoons from the marina part. The welcome center has a naturalist area with educational animals and other interactive exhibits where kids can see and ask questions. During summer months they also have all kinds of activities for families from naturalist led hikes, movie nights, and educational programs. The beach area is a good size for everyone to play. You can pay extra to go on the wibits- water course. They have food vendors and bathrooms close by. Most of the facilities like shower houses and playgrounds are newer and well maintained. Since it is such a large campground I highly recommend bringing bikes or a golf cart (you will want to call ahead to make sure yours is inspected for operation in the park). Also lots of ranger patrols for safety but still freedom to enjoy your weekend.

And there is an admission charge if you can believe it... The chalet on the hill has a small store in it but since it's on state land there are no potent potables so again...Plan accordingly...Pack everything you want BEFORE you head out because there isn't much in that neck of the woods either...There is a Marathon that does have needs but not a great selection so...Plan accordingly... There is a beach that consists of "sand" that is what is washed up from the bottom and is pretty much just gravel mixed with dirt... Thankfully all we did at the beach was stage it for a gathering point off the boat.... I'd go back cause the lake is plenty big and not overly crowded...So long as we had no reason to get off the boat... But be careful....There is water patrol so use your head here folks....

Nice pads and tables at the campsites. TONS of activities for the kids (ages 5 and 4). Great camp store. Literally no need to leave for anything! Not the same campground…read more I have stayed at this campground several times. My kids love all the activities so we try to make it a yearly stop. They have wibits, outdoor pool, jump pad and other scheduled activities. This time around we were somewhat disappointed with our stay. They campground has been going through a management change. They expressed multiple times they have a 5 year plan. Although I think they are over a year into the plan we had booked months in advance bc the campground used to be hard to get a spot. Although it was only about half full on a holiday weekend when we stayed. They also told us they would have a new resort style pool open by then. Although the pool wasn't even close to being finished. They have emptied out most of the camping spots and have cabins all over the park that have not been hooked up. The grass was really long and someone said the mower had broke. The pool was dirty and we saw broken glass around the edge. Lots of barking dogs, especially across from the playground. During our stay the activities were not at the same caliber as they used to be and many of them you had to pay to participate in. Like bingo you have to bring your own candy bar. And every interaction with one of the bears seemed to have something for sale. The times of events were usually delayed. One time because the shower house needed to be pumped out. I think the dynamic of the type of camper they are trying to reach is different than what I have seen here in the past. Kids still had a great time but just want others to beware if they haven't stayed here in a couple years.

This full house AirBnB rental location is situated just 8 miles east of Marion, OH and 2 miles south of Caledonia, OH and is the perfect location to get a way from it all. Full disclosure, I lived in this house for several years as a teenager some 30 years ago and I think of the area often. This place is what helped me learn about nature, geology, ecosystems, and life and death. My recent visit back to Terradise affirmed my love for the outdoors and how enjoyable it can be to just sit and relax while taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the woods. The house itself was built in the early 1950's but has been updated several times since then. It currently has a modern kitchen with dishwasher, washer, and dryer. There is one full bath with shower that is available to all guests, and a half bath built into a closet in the master bedroom. Both bedrooms have full size beds, this could be better here with queen size beds, but for a week or so works just fine. The main living room has a fireplace and a large picture window that is great for watching the comings and goings on the river. There is also a library with several hundred books, so there should be something for everyone to read. There is a deck, a patio and a gazebo outside, all ideal for sitting and reading your favorite book, sketching or observing the natural world around you. Deer, owls, ducks, geese, racoons and all manner of other woodland creatures roam nearby. If sitting and reading isn't your thing, the Terradise Nature Preserve is there for you to go hiking, wildflower hunting, bird watching, geocaching and canoeing. Terradise AirBnB has a canoe available for use, it is your responsibility however to arrange pick-up and transport back to the house. All in all, Terradise is an enjoyable and restful location to stay if you are visiting the area. The house itself is wheelchair accessible and pet friendly in case you were wondering. Stay, enjoy, be respectful, and let Terradise influence you and your sense of nature.
