Gas at a station across the road was 4 cents higher. Hubby gassed up while I used the restroom. The woman's restroom was very clean and well supplied. The place was busy with semi's pulling in and out too from their desolate pumps on the side of the building. Next stop I'll take time to look around the store.

One sink with soap and a loud air dryer. One checkout counter inside with a relatively friendly clerk. She's running people through and monitoring pumps so there's no time for idle chatter. Store is stocked. Huge selection of beverages, candy and chips. Solid selection of various sundries. Magazine selection is naught. Men's Heath. Women's Health. Guns and Ammo. That's it. Huge selection of donuts. Some fresh fruit available. Churros and hotdogs also available. MAPS! They have maps and atlases! Plenty of pumps that fit a truck and boat. We were able to limp to Black River Falls on battery power, and lo-and-behold right at the exit I found Gross Chevy, et. al. Less than 2 hours before closing, they squeezed me in to verify the problem and got the part on order for delivery first thing the following morning. It was 90 degrees out, and they allowed us to bring our 5 dogs...yes, 5...into the Service Department office to take advantage of the A/C during the diagnosis. And on top of that, they allowed us to plug in on their lot so we could run the our A/C and "camp" overnight. They even offered a courtesy car so we could go out for dinner! All repaired and we were back on the road before noon the next morning. Five stars for their service, hospitality, and accommodations. If I could, I'd give them an extra star because they had Green Bay Packer items scattered around the office!

Loft was there on the expressway to her car within 15 minutes, tried to temporarily fix it for the rest of her drive but a minute back on the road and it broke again. The tow truck driver made sure she got back on 1-94 safely in front of him, followed her to their shop and permanently bolted it back on within 10 minutes at the most reasonable cost imaginable for the entire trip, time and effort spent. As a worried mom three and half hours away, I cannot express my gratitude enough. Osseo is lucky to have such an awesome business with such great people. The world could use more of you!

Gas, Snacks, and lots of fun stuff…read moreat Northfield Cenex I always love an ice cold Dr Pepper to start my morning, but oh man this Dr Pepper was just so crisp, sweet, and satisfying. I am genuinely in love with this Dr Pepper, and I believe that it is because of the immaculate environment of the Cenex coolers. Not to mention the super fun ice puddles outside! I believe this is the absolute greatest gas station I have been to in my 18 years of living (see haiku above).

This little convenience store makes a big impact on its area…read more I often stop in here to get gas, pick up some beverages and snacks after a long paddle on the Black River, or to help my fellow paddlers rent canoes or kayaks from the business. Yes, they rent canoes and kayaks, and they are OK with you using them for overnight paddle and camp trips. The rates are very reasonable. The convenience store itself is clean and organized. The staff are always friendly and good for some skinny on what the river is doing. What stands them apart is that they do not charge convenience store prices. Their pricing is more in line with a typical Kwik Trip. That is particularly impressive since they have a bit of a captive audience. They are the only gas station/convenience store of note between Black River Falls and Galesville along Highway 54.
