First time here, just stopped in to do some regular shopping (not picking up a prescription). The…read moreproduct selection was fine -- nothing amazing, nothing terrible. What really stood out, though, was how unhappy most of the employees looked. The cashier and the woman in the photo section especially seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else. Maybe it was a rough day or they were short‑staffed, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. On the bright side, one employee -- a petite, dark‑haired woman -- was super upbeat and friendly, smiling at everyone who walked by. She single‑handedly earned them an extra star from me.

If I could rate them a 0 I would. I had one of the most humiliating customer service experiences…read moreI've ever had today at Walgreens. I attempted to use a coupon that Walgreens itself was advertising in the store and asked the elderly Eastern European man to assist me in applying said coupon. Instead of receiving assistance, I was treated as though I was trying to scam or steal something for simply asking that the advertised promotion be honored. When I pointed out that the coupon was displayed in the store, the employee repeatedly dismissed my concerns. His responses included, "That's not my problem," and, in a loud and confrontational tone, "Do you want me to take my machine back there and try to find this coupon for you? What do you want me to do about this? This is not my problem." The situation became even more inappropriate when the employee, after speaking loudly and disrespectfully to me, spotted a manager walking by and called out for help. Rather than professionally explaining the situation, he introduced me by saying, "I need help with this one. She's a problem, and I don't know what to do with her." Let that sink in. Not, "This customer has a question about a coupon." Not, "I'm having trouble locating the promotion." Not, "Can you help me resolve this?" His first instinct was to label me as "a problem" in front of others because I was asking about a coupon Walgreens itself was advertising. I wasn't yelling. I wasn't being rude. I wasn't asking for anything that wasn't being promoted in the store. I was simply trying to use a coupon. No customer should be publicly embarrassed, dismissed, or treated like a nuisance for asking a legitimate question. At no point did he attempt to help, verify the promotion, call a manager appropriately, or provide any level of basic customer service. Instead, he chose to embarrass and belittle a customer in front of others. Whether this was bias, poor training, or simply a complete disregard for customer service, the result was the same: I left feeling disrespected, embarrassed, and unwelcome. Walgreens, if you advertise a promotion in your store, customers should not be made to feel like criminals for trying to use it. I will be filing a formal complaint and hope no one else in our community is treated this way.

I mean, it's 7-Eleven. Expect Big Gulp cups to fill up, hot dogs rotating under a heat lamp and…read moreslurpees, which is why we came here! To celebrate slurpee day on July 7th, we visited 7-Eleven for a free small slurpee. My colleagues and I visited this 7-Eleven, which is located in downtown Bellevue during the lunch hour. We expected a line, but fortunately, not many people were here for slurpee day, so we were able to get in and out. Located off of Bellevue Way, it's easy to spot with plenty of parking in the business strip it's located in. A few of the slurpees here are based off of soda, which I don't drink. But I did find lemonade slurpees, including a mango one, which I ended up getting for slurpee day. It was way too sugary to finish, but hey, it's free. The cashier was fine with us trying the different slurpees before committing to one. When he saw we all had our small slurpees, we were able to just walk out without a purchase. Easy peasy. All in all, it's a typical 7-Eleven with treats, snacks, some items you may need on the go and for convenience, with questionable hot food items. This isn't Japan, guys. You know how it is.

I am left with the impression that being an employee here is challenging based on the profuse…read moreover-apologetic manner of most employees here. This is a good-sized CVS store with all the OTC medications, skincare, hair care, cleaning, candy, and wine that one could need. I transferred my prescriptions here and there's positives and negatives. The pharmacy is very, very busy. Not sure if it is because the three pharmacies on the island can't keep up with the demand or if there is another reason but every time I come here I see piles of filled out bags ready to go, more so than anywhere else I've gone. I attribute this to why my prescriptions are not filled fast. Most of the time, not a big deal. For recurring prescriptions I have it placed in advance and pick it up a couple days later. For urgent needs, tho, the trick is to call ahead and let them know in advance you need it asap. ASAP may still be a couple hours, but better than days. I ran into that once and if they understand the need they will prioritize but if not then it is in the order they receive the prescription request. It is a great location otherwise!

Looking to grab some quick lunch and seeing Amazon Go across the way I figured I'd give it a shot…read more I'd forgotten how it works here so as I'm fumbling around trying to figure it out an employee came out and walked me through it which I appreciated. There are also instructions on screen to try and guide you. You open up the app and find the QR reader and make sure you have your payment set, scan and go in. From what I understand there are cameras and sensors that track your purchases so when you walk out it just bills your account and emails you a receipt. Very interesting concept. So, my impressions of it all outside of the cashless check out is that it's basically a 7 Eleven or similar convenience store. Some hot food and cold sandwich options, lots of drinks to choose from including soft drinks, coffee and plenty of snacks. The prices are a little higher than at a convenience store, especially since at say 7 Eleven they may have 2 for $4 on a bottle of coke or some similar promotion. Here at Amazon Go they sort of have a promotion but they're more akin to Subway where you have to buy a sandwich or something. I had a mini personal pizza from here and at $5 it wasn't bad. I'd go again simply for that but beyond that Amazon Go is just a cashless convenience store, convenient so that you don't have to really deal with lines.
