My daughter's vehicle had been sitting in the garage a while and, lo and behold it wouldn't start so I had it jumped and drove it around for a bit, but wisely pulled into MI Chevron to make sure that it would re-start... which it didn't. Willie immediately had me pull the vehicle into the Service Bay and they put it on the charger. I went back in an hour and they had just printed out the report that showed the battery charging capacity was down below spec and I'd for sure need a new battery. Willie had the correct battery for the job and even though it was almost an hour after his quitting time, he stayed, put the battery in, tested it thoroughly and got me on my way. He was a delight to work with. We had a nice chat while he did his work. I checked prices and they were more than fair given the convenience and the prompt service. The men at this establishment are rarely in the actual gas station. Every time I try to purchase anything I have to wait for someone to show up to help. At first I thought they were working in the mechanic shop pulling double duty but they are not. They are all just hanging out together in the shop. I bought several items from the market for lunch. I pulled over to quickly eat it as I was on my lunch. I then was chased down by an employee for littering. I had no idea what he was talking about. I was actually scared for my safety. I had no idea what he was talking about. I literally had to rush out of the parking lot to get away from this crazy man. I do not recommend this place. It was scary read more

I pulled up with an issue with my tire hoping to get back on the road. Three guys sitting with the garage doors wide open at 4:20pm sat frozen literally refusing to turn their heads towards me. One went and shut one of the garage doors leaving one still open. Finally, after trying to get the one remaining guy's attention long enough he stepped out to point at his $2 air compressor(I tried and couldn't get it to work). I said I might have a screw in the tire. He gave no sh*ts. I have never been treated so poorly at a service station. I stepped in the mini market to ask if that was the owner or just some slouchy employees. As it turned out it was the owner. He understood I was asking about the business and started screaming profanities and telling me to leave and come back at 8:30am. As if I am a masochist, damn, I wouldn't go to this place again if they were giving away winning lottery tickets or for a water to save my life. I was hoping it was just employees so I could let the owner know just how bad it is. Apparently, that is the culture of the company and how it is run from the top to bottom. I strongly suggest you drive a little further and give your money to another service station. Avoid these angry bitter creeps like the plague. read more

What a day! They didn't have time to squeeze me in for an oil change but they were happy to help me out with some oil until I can get into the dealer. After I got there and was asked to pop my hood, I very very very stupidly locked myself out of my car. The guy behind the counter was THE NICEST man ever!!! He popped my door open and threw some oil under the hood. He only charged me for the oil!! What a sweetheart! He turned my bad day around! He also was very friendly with another woman who was an obvious regular. I give these guys a five star for being so incredibly awesome! Thanks guys!!! read more

Just moved in to the apartment building next door to this station. I figured that this location put the convenience in convenience store. They have an awesome selection of beer, coffee, candy, and sodas. I've never used the mechanic services so I can't comment on it, but here-say is that they are good. The con? The utter nail on the coffin of this place? The reason I will FOREVERMORE take MY business elsewhere? --The attitude of the cashiers. This is not "a friendly neighborhood service station". The rudeness, disdain, and resentment that oozes from these people that I've encountered working there is disgusting. The cashier wouldn't even speak to me when I made a purchase. read more

I happened to get a nail in my tire while driving on I-90 and went to this Chevron since it was so close to the freeway. I called roadside assistance and was told it would be an hour for them to arrive. I went in the store once to buy something to snack on and again to buy water. I explained to the nighttime employee that I was in the VW in the parking lot and was waiting on roadside assistance. About 15 minutes later a car backs up next to me with two people in it, a woman driving and a man in the passenger seat. They sat in the car giving me odd looks which made me uncomfortable and I stayed in my car reading a book and looking on my phone. A loud knock at my window startled me and the woman was standing next to my car and shouted at me "what's your problem?" very aggressively. I asked her if she was the owner and she yelled "no, I'm the night shift manager", I said I was waiting for roadside assistance because I had a nail in my tire. She yelled that this was a private, family owned business and people could only be here if they were buying gas and not staying longer than 10 minutes. I explained to her that I did buy items from the store and reiterated that I was just waiting for roadside assistance. She yelled at me to roll down my window so I cracked my window and repeated that I was just waiting for roadside assistance and that I had in fact purchased items from the store. I told her again that I was waiting for roadside and it finally seemed to sink in because she went over to her car to smoke some more. A few minutes later roadside assistance arrived, parking next to me. The manager still hadn't gone in the store and was just smoking outside her car. I got out to say hello to the guys getting out of the roadside assistance truck and she started yelling at us that we needed to move off the lot to do repairs. She yelled that it was a private, family owned lot and we needed to move before any repairs were done. She told us to go to the apartment building next door and use their lot but that I had to move. At this point no one had even looked at my tire to even see if my car was safe to move. While the man was walking around with his flashlight and checking the tires she kept harassing us and yelling at me to move my car because we might sue them. The roadside assistance employee was getting upset at this point and told her he wasn't even sure if the car was safe to move and was she going to take responsibility for it if she forced me to leave the lot. Another minute or so of yelling went on, I got in my car, drove and parked illegally on the street so that my tire could be repaired. I'm not sure which family owns this Chevron but the roadside assistance employee told me that he'd helped people stranded in that lot before without problems. To the owners, obviously, the small amount of power you gave this "night shift manager" has gone way too far. She yelled at a paying customer, didn't even bother to speak with the employee actually working in the store and kept harassing a stranded driver. Just the way she approached me sitting in my car, just reading a book was extremely aggressive and disrespectful. I will NEVER go to this Chevron again and hope that others will forgo this gas station as well. This "manager" is horrible and is scaring off paying customers with her belligerent attitude and aggressive nature. If she'd taken the time to quit smoking, go in the store and actually speak with her employee she would have found out I was waiting for roadside assistance, was a paying customer and had let the employee know why I was waiting in the lot. read more

Not sure if this is the correct page to discuss the repair shop, however the service there is outstanding with a very quick turnaround. My little brother came into town and his tire fell off and something broke somewhere in there. We called and got the car sent there around 10 PM. And it was ready the next afternoon. Very courteous staff there and our Mechanic (Chris) even gave us details on everything that was wrong and what they did to fix it. Definitely would recommend them to a friend. read more

I am older than dirt. But, I guess there are a few surprises left. I didn't realize that this facility had alignment capability. I used to travel into Seattle to get my car alignment done, and subsequently had not had it done for a number of years. My bad! My compliments to Willie, the alignment guru. Not only was the work done promptly and professionally but the explanation after was more than that which I was used to. Gas prices are higher, but that's endemic to Mercer Island. Extremely bad customer service. I went into this Chevron on Wednesday, August 15 at 3:30 PM. I pumped a full tank of gas and went inside to get my receipt. I decided to take advantage of a promotion buy one get one free on the smart water. When I took my beverages to the counter they rang up separately. I asked the attendant about the promotion. He told me that I had to read the small print. I asked him what that meant and it looks like it's buy one get one free with no small print. He would not tell me what I was missing. I got frustrated and I asked him to just give me my money back and to take the water is back. He told me that the promotions change every month and he did not know what it was. I told him that he worked there and he should know what the promotion was. He was upset that I asked my money back and I started to leave and he told me to take my attitude somewhere else. I am writing this review only an hour after it happened so it's fresh in my mind. read more

I heard good things about him and I thought I'd see how much he would charge. The whole thing cost $600 out of the door and it was done the same day. It's a gas station. They're going to rip you off (gas or groceries) but they make up for it being the cheapest gas station on Mercer Island (that's not saying much, given that any gas on the Island is expensive. But still.) Also, what makes this the best gas station on the Island is the fact that you get free air and water for your car. And it actually works. Well! On top of that, they also have one of the cleanest bathrooms I've every stepped into. Kudos to them. read more
