It's about an hour east of KC which is a nice time for a stop as you've broken through a wall of traffic. It's about three hours west of St. Louis, which times out well for a pit stop before getting back into a city. In my opinion, if you can't see it off the highway, we're not pulling the car over for it. Fortunately this one is right there, and inside is nice and big with good, clean restrooms, which lemme just add, that is not always the case along I-70! The clerk was friendly as well, and there are lots of snacks and other options. All in all, this spot is a nice little stop as are most of the Travel Centers you'll come across.

The manager didn't want to fix the issue until after I threatened to walk away from the sale all together. The deli faves are 3.99 ea plus tax for a 6 in the total should have been just over $17 the manager tried to charge over $20 it should be company policy to charge the least amount possible. She asked what I wanted on them when she approached to help the trainee and I pointed at the deli faves and said what ever comes on them I know you can't customize them. I had the pleasure of meeting Todd when my 300,000 mile car broke down off I-70. Even though he was…read moreincredibly busy, he still took time to run diagnostics on my car. I eventually decided to scrap the vehicle than put more money into it. Since I was driving cross country back to Maryland & had no wheels, Todd gave me a lift to a nearby hotel. He also let me keep my car there until I could get him a title (to scrap). He then, in turn, mails me my salvage check while asking for nothing in return. Super nice honest guy. If I lived in the area, he would get all of my business! I'd recommend him to anyone for his honesty & integrity alone.

It's a newer 250W version and set up behind a Casey's gas station. If you're coming from the east the Tesla navigation takes you off the highway an exit before, which makes it less left turns off the highway (I guess) but not sure it saved us any time. You get to drive down old highway 40 for a bit and kinda step back in time some. Next door is a fantastic barbecue place. plug in, walk over, get to go order or sit down and come back to a fully charged car. Watch the wind though, auto presenting doors on a Model X front doors turn into kites if you're not used to it. Something I'd forgotten after moving away.

There's also a Verizon located on the inside as soon as you open the doors from the semi truck fueling section. The restrooms were clean and everything looked stocked. The associate held the door open for me as we were about to walk into the Pilot. I loved my experience here and can't wait to stop by again!

We were able to fill our gas tanks at a very reasonable cost, and there were plenty of pumps so there was no waiting. We REALLY appreciate the dog park! It was simply wonderful to have a fenced-in area where we could let the dogs out for a little while to stretch their legs and take care of business. (We are not happy about other patrons who left their dog waste behind and didn't pick it up. What a shame that they took advantage of Love's hospitality and didn't clean up after their pets!) There were plenty of amenities for travelers in addition to gasoline for the cars. The convenience store had a wide variety of packaged and from-the-counter food and drink as well as road supplies. The bathrooms were clean and spacious and clearly well-maintained. We have stopped at other Love's facilities, and this is very much their standard. We can imagine that long-distance truck drivers appreciate the clean and well-managed environs. But even on our short trip, it was a pleasure to pause at such a pleasant place.
