I assume this is some dodge around the laws / agreements around credit cards that prohibit them for charging less for cash than for credit/debit. Anyways, it's cheap gas, although you end up paying for it some with the rigamarole of standing in line to charge the card. However, saleswoman Crystal was lovely and gracious and funny and explained most of it to me, and now I'm a fan.

Police told them to stick with beer, gas and cigarettes, I guess. They really seemed not to realize that they were breaking the law. They've been taking a lower profile since then. This convenience store // gas station used to be a Citgo (and two or three other brands before that.) Now has no sign whatsoever - not even a 'Speedy Mart' sign - except the gas-price posting. But the gas here is always $0.12/gal cheaper than its nearest competitor (a Mobil station a block away.) In their parking lot, they have used-clothing drop-off boxes for two different charities. I pay a bit extra here for the convenience for quickly getting milk, but not too bad a gouge. Heck, it's a convenience store. Guy behind the counter always seems happy to chat with me. Check it out. There is no place to line up at the other registers due to product almost up to the cash register which is why I always used self checkout. At least that line made sense and moved fast. I'm not sure who picks out their eyeglass frames but there has been nothing of interest as far as the women's section in two years. Other Costco location have a nice selection of frames. Not sure what is going on here. The people with the food samples were are standing around not making product telling people it will be 15 - 20 minutes before they get around to making any. Doesn't seem like a good way to move/sell product in my humble opinion. Will give props that I did see an employee restocking food court supplies as that has been a long time issue. Not to sure if they were actually cleaning around the condiment area or not but, formerly, the lack of cleanliness made me completely lose my taste for the hotdogs that my family and I formerly loved. They do have affordable monthly unlimited car wash plans available, these basically pay for themselves as long as you get your car washed at least twice a month.
