The bathroom is clean and not too crowded here! It's kind of fun to walk around in this area after a long drive!

Great place to test your immune system and see how resistant to disease you are. Make sure you gave lots of hand sanitizer. Coming from Phoenix to San Diego, Gila Bend is a convenient place for a pit stop. This Shell is the first place with public restrooms. Instead of stopping here, you should keep driving towards the Chevron or one of the fast food places at the end of town. If the restrooms are any indication, I'd avoid buying any food that is not processed. Lots of stalls but not the cleanest restrooms. Stalls have broken and missing locks and the walls are scratched up. Some seats were broken and offset. Three sinks in the women's restroom and two were filthy, one had food in it and the other had either blood or something else that was red and nasty looking. The big Chevron sign stating "clean restrooms" should have been my first clue. None for Shell.... Chevron is down the road and after seeing and experiencing these bathrooms, next time I'm stopping at Chevron. Lines moves slow. The same group of people were still waiting on the cashier when I went in to use the restroom and were still there when I came out. No one was at the pumps, seems most people were buying Mexican auto insurance.

Good place to stop if driving between San Diego and Phoenix. Parking lot really congested when we were there at 11 a.m. on a Friday morning. Floor was wet by bathrooms with only one cone marking wet floor. One cashier working but trying to keep line moving. Good supply of snacks and sodas etc. There is a Subway restaurant inside of store.

Cool place to stop when your in Gila. They have really cool Antiques and piggy banks. It's also a great place to grab souvenirs if you're traveling across the country.

Not the shell gas station per say but the samborns Mexican insurance is terrible... the clerk didn't want to give me the difference in full coverage or the liability. Service was terrible even after I requested them give me the difference in price. Buy at your own risk.

Misrepresents the actual price of gas, street sign says one price pump $0.10 more for credit card users. Dishonest will not stop again

Great pit stop for gas and refreshments and gifts. It gets more and more spruced up every time we stop here.

Road trips have enough surprises, I don't need my bathroom stop to be one of them. That's why…read morewhenever I see Love's travel stops, I'm pulling in. I couldn't even tell you whether the gas is the cheapest because that's honestly not always why I stop. I know they're going to be open, I know the employees are going to be friendly, and I know, without fail, the bathrooms are going to be clean. Not "pretty clean." Not "clean for a truck stop." The cleanest bathrooms of any travel stop, period. On this particular visit, the gas pumps were closed for construction, so if you're planning to fuel up, just be aware of that. I wasn't there for gas anyway, I stopped to use the restroom and was going to grab something afterward, only to realize I'd left my money behind. The gentleman working didn't make it awkward for even a second. He simply smiled, wished me safe travels, and told me to have a good evening. That's exactly why I keep choosing Love's. Spotless bathrooms, genuinely kind employees, and a level of consistency that's hard to find when you're on the road. Five stars every time.

Pulled into Love's Travel Stop in Gila Bend somewhere between "I need gas" and "I need to get out…read moreof this car for five minutes before I lose my mind," and this place hit perfectly. First impression, it's big. Wide open, easy to maneuver, no weird angles or tight turns. After hours on the road, that alone feels like a luxury. You don't have to think. You just pull in, find a pump, and breathe for a second. Inside is where it really stands out. It's clean. Not "someone wiped this down an hour ago" clean, but consistently maintained. Floors aren't sticky, shelves aren't wrecked, and everything feels like it's been looked after instead of just survived. Grabbed a coffee and something quick to eat, and it actually felt like there were options. Not just sad gas station food sitting under heat lamps. You can tell they expect people to stop here, not just pass through. Staff had that steady, road-tested energy. Friendly without overdoing it. Quick, efficient, a couple casual words exchanged, and you're on your way. Exactly what you want in a place like this. Bathrooms were the clincher. Clean, stocked, no hesitation walking in. If you've done enough highway driving, you know that's half the battle right there. This is one of those stops that resets you a bit. You walk out a little less tired, a little less annoyed at the road. Five stars. No question. If I'm coming through Gila Bend again, I'm not even considering anywhere else.
