The support staff is amazing from the smallest thing like bumming a battery to the biggest thing of planning events! Joining the group of "Senior Specialists" in the America's Best Hearing office has been one of the best job moves of my life. I have had offices in at least 5 other medical parks. That's very nice and what I have always considered "ideal". This setting rises far above that. I say that especially because of the capacity for events. Education on these special senior concerns is a huge part of navigating this part of life. When we are young, we have parents, teachers, coaches, youth leaders...That help is needed for sure. What about this senior part of life? I say we need all the help we can get and its here at One Senior Place!

Well, she loves it! Of course, it was an adjustment but she's much happier and has made so many friends! The waterfront view & large outdoor deck is by far the best perk of living here. They also have an extremely friendly staff that customizes their treatment to each individual. My grandma doesn't need much help, and they do a good job giving her the space she needs. Every time I pick her up to go out to breakfast or lunch, she always has great stories of all the activities she's doing everyday. I could go on and on about the benefits of living here. It's worth the cost & I cannot recommend it more!

She started in the assisted living area but when her memory started getting worse, they suggested the Memory care unit. They check on her her almost every 2 hours. The building always smells great and clean! the staff is easy to talk to and they really care about there patients! But we noticed a lot of the people there looked like they didn't get drug tested as we were walking out of the elevator to look at some of the rooms, I notice two people on the corner with a drug cart, doing stuff, hiding drugs doing drugs. I don't know if they're supposed to be licensed med techs but it just seemed really weird. We asked if we can sit to have dinner to give it a try. The nice lady said yes that was giving us the tour. The food there was HORRIBLE My daughters burger was burnt mine was raw we found a bug on the table. And said some thing and the waitress said to us that it's a new bag of lettuce that we thought it came from that, but didn't know..If you plan on bringing your mother or father here I suggest you ask if they do background checks and also do your research online PLEASE Also if there's any health department that checks these facilities, this one definitely needs to be checked ASAP. The foods horrible these poor elderly people have to eat and it was horrible. If someone reads this, please make sure to have health department check this out. Also do drug testing randomly on these people because I feel like a lot of them do drugs there, just by looking at them.And seeing some suspicious things going on there.

They sent people to my house at 10:00 p.m. unannounced. I had to call the sheriff. They never asked questions of appropriateness, the staff even admitted this organization was very poorly run by management and it was very disorganized. I finally was forced to quit the care I was receiving, it got so bad. Do not go with this hospice. They Bragg because they are the only 5 star hospice in the state.....but definitely they are NOT. I gave them 1 star only because there was not an option for a zero star rating. State of Florida needs to review this hospice. This is my review. I am a Registered Nurse of 50 years and still am, have been a staff nurse, a team leader, a nurse manager and a Director of Nursing. I was complemented for my ability to give excellent care during this time. This is a very professional review of this organization. Sorry it could not be a 5 star but it is an honest review. From the time of our first meeting, Jenna was very attentive to helping us not only find the right living situation for my elderly parents, but also seeing their desires, and helping them with the details to get there. From visiting possible new homes, to obtaining an elder attorney, or seeking and obtaining VA benefits, she was right by our side. The gave us suggestions and recommendations and became an active support and encouragement to all of us. Even when we decided to go outside of the area for an assisted living facility, she was still actively involved by working with the facilities and making us aware of information that we wouldn't have otherwise known. Jenna has been a true support and advocate for my parents. A person that deeply cares and wants to help individuals find the care and living situation that best suits their needs and desires, in a place where they can flourish in their later years. I have worked with other Living Advisor organizations, and I can say that Harmony is different. They care about more than just placement. They care for the individual and what is best for them. Thank goodness I was given the contact information for Jenna at Harmony Senior Living! She was helpful, kind, informative, and patient with both me and my father. She really listened when I explained the constraints of our situation and worked tirelessly and relentlessly to find solutions and make them affordable. I didn't think we'd have any possibilities and she found us a range to options to choose from. My father is now at a facility far, far better than anything I would have found on my own. Since then, she has followed up to see if we need assistance with anything after the transition. If you are dealing with the stress of this kind of situation, I really suggest you do yourself and your family a favor and give them a call.

During today's visit, and many previous visits, I found Jack's room to be disgusting. Bed sheets…read morehad days old fecal matter throughout (pictures I took can be provided). Toilet, once again, found in a disgusting condition (pictures again can be provided). I used to only see things like this on those old documentaries of mental institutions where the patients are just forgotten about and roll around in their filth. I am both saddened and angry! Nobody should be subjected to such conditions. If the answer is more staff, so be it. If the answer is better management of the current staff, so be it. If the answer is a little less profit and hire better trained and more caring housekeepers, so be it. If the housekeeping supervisor could begin checking the rooms to make sure a basic level of hygiene and cleanliness are met, so be it! The cost of Sonata is way too high to have to accept these conditions. With all this said, there are some very nice and caring employees that work there. Jodi at the front desk is always very helpful and meets you with a smile. The dining room staff always seem to care for the folks as well. Management has been spoken to and made aware of this issue and we continue to await resolution.

When my mother-in-law, a resident for two years, was sick in ICU, she couldn't wait to go "home, where my friends are, and my cook, Tom!" They don't try to be the fanciest place in town, but it's a warm, homelike atmosphere where she's happy. When Mama was able, every time the wheels rolled on the activity bus, she was on it. When asked where she was going, she would say, "I don't know, but I know I'm going to have fun!" The units or cottages are small enough that those who live there feel like family to each other. It's almost impossible to re-create that feeling in a larger facility. The food is awesome...nutritious and tasty. They're quite accommodating for special dietary needs, too. If you were thinking of placing a loved one here, or going yourself, I think you would be pleased. We are!
