The man who answers the phone is super rude. I asked him when and how much it would cost to simply get a new key for my very basic front door. When he told me he was slammed, I asked him when his next available date was. He said, " I don't know you may want to call someone else. " I had told him I called another couple of locksmiths and they were booked for two weeks. He said "maybe I could help you mid week." I said, "ok....Wednesday?" He said, "I don't know. I can't give you an exact time." I said, " I'm just trying to figure out what works for your schedule. You said mid week, and I suggested Wednesday." He was so rude and said "I don't think I can accommodate you, you seem to be wanting something that's impossible for me." WHAAAAT? I'm literally calling this man to pay him $150 to make one key for an existing key lock. And working around his schedule and he hangs up on me because I'm trying to work with him and figure out a day that works. I can't even imagine what he's like in person.

The first couple of locksmiths I called said they would charge $250(!) just to come out to my place because I'm on the Northshore. Tom is not based on the Northshore either, but he charged me a very fair price. The second time I called him, I had a mini-emergency involving a closet door that I really needed to access and could not open. This happened after hours on a Friday evening, but Tom very kindly responded immediately. Apart from the above, he is just a super-nice guy and clearly really honest.

They came out late into the night and created our replacement key ON SITE! They even created a replacement wireless FOB. These guys are wizards, absolutely recommend their services. Josh replied right away, was very helpful in solving my problem. He met a good friend at my Jeep, had to fool with the hood locks to be able to jump-start my Jeep and let us know the gas tank was empty, and saw that the fuel line had been cut. What is wrong with people!? I have lived on all the Islands and always thought Kauai was the best- best scenery, least amount of people/traffic and most amount of aloha. I will work with Kauai Police to try and catch the vandals, so this doesn't happen to someone else. With Josh's very competent, friendly, timely and fair priced assistance my beloved Jeep that I have had for 20 years is now safely in the hands of my mechanic.
