I questioned the amount and she simply stated that that was the price on the list that she was looking at. I don't think she should be looking at a list to punch in prices it should be scanned. I told her that that price was wrong and she walked away down an aisle and stood there. I went back and looked at regular beer prices and they were $11.99. I told her this was outrageous or wrong. Her demeanor changed drastically and she became disconnected with me and said I can show you the breakdown on the paper. At this point, I knew something was not right. I will be contacting the owners somehow and get into the bottom of this. To me this looks like an embezzling scheme.

I went in for a lube and found new owners, new management. I requested Castrol premium oil as I had before. I watch carefully while they lube my car. They can easily make a mistake. I observed them filling 5 quart bottles of Castrol [white] from a container. When I saw this I spoke to the manager and requested an unopened bottle of Castrol be used on my car. At this point the man went ballistic. He demanded to know if I thought he was cheating me. Since I had said no such thing, I declined to answer the question and made my request again. This time he refused, so I asked that he stop the lube process and told him I was leaving. He not only refused, but told me that I would not get my car back. No mention of payment. I told him if I could not get my car back, I would call the police. He told me to go ahead. The police arrived, had a discussion with him only, then told me that I would not get my car back until I paid. Since the lube had not been performed, I declined and told Bryan's finest that He had no right to make that demand of me and that the Mobil 1 manager had no legal right to retain my car. He had to concede those points. He told the manager to give me back my car. I have never returned to this lube place with either of my cars, and I repeat this story as often as I can to anyone who will listen. I hope you will take note and avoid this place. What I experienced is not just rude behavior, it is criminal and threatening, and seriously anti-consumer. Postscript: I also wrote Mobil 1 corporate and made my complaint. I never heard back from them.

The new place I towed my car to fixed it for cheap. Now? My car is running smoothly. Not only did I waste my money to tow my car here and away, but I wasted my time, a day's worth of work. Instead of just outright saying they have too many cars to work on at the moment or that they refused to work on my car, they decided to lie and waste my time. I would never return or recommend anyone to come here. There's no way the amount I paid for the work at the new place was more than the value of the car due to inflation + chip shortage. Utterly disappointed.
