I don't have one single problem with the finished product. My hesitation on giving it the highest rating is the time it took to finish it. I signed my contract 7/15 and my work was finally completed this week. I will of course give them the 3 weeks to get the permit. But honestly! When the salesman signed us up, he said once we had the permit, it could be done in 2 weeks. Our patio was unusable for over 2 months. I ended up acting like the Project Manager, calling all of the sub contractors myself to line up time to get work done. Would I do it with them again? Probably, but I would definitely not sign a contract until I had a end date written into the contract. (P.S. count how many times they tell you they do work on the temples. This was a little off putting)

A few years ago we had them come back to place vents in the roof because we did not want to use an attic fan anymore. The installer should have cut an approximately 24 inch vent, but he only cut about and 8 inch vent. He was picking up his tools and my husband went in the attic to look at his finished work. He noticed one vent was about 8 inches when it should have been closer to 24 inches. My husband made the installer resize the vent hole to its correct dimension. In 2020 we had CK Builders remove our existing gutters and install new gutters and leafless guards. BIG MISTAKE. They installed the down spout gutter sleeve backwards so water would run out of the joint instead of down through the spout. This fall my husband went up on the roof to plug a hornet's nest and noticed there were 2 big holes in the fascia. He also noticed one of the gutter screen joints did not match up. The joint slopped backwards and left a 3/4 inch gap for leaves and debris to blow into. The reason we had the gutter guards installed in the first place was to keep leaves and debris out of the gutters. When we contacted them about the holes in the fascia they said they were from the previous gutter system spikes. However nobody mentioned this to us at the time of the install. Also they could have patched it with the materials they had on hand at the time of the install or at least talked to us about this issue. Upon contacting them they said "the gap is minimal and should not cause any problem and the holes were from the old gutter system." Yes they were responsive but we have to live with the big holes in the fascia and the 3/4 inch gap in the leafless gutter cover for leaves and debris to blow into. They have responded to us they believe their work is correct and there is no need to send anyone out to our house. Needless to say we are very disappointed in their craftmanship and their customer service. I would not recommend this company.

Read those reviews and mine very carefully, so your hard earned money, spent with the intent to improve likely one of your largest financial investments, won't be just throwing good money after bad by using CK Builders. Lack of skill sets starting with the owners and all the way down the line. We hired CK for a residential remodel, only to quickly regret that decision. Promised us skilled and trusted trades people, we got whomever they could scrape up, and that's probably a result of their reputation. They WILL NOT stand behind their work, or their mistakes, even though they tout a 4 year warranty when you sign up with them. Robynn (an owner) will be the first one to dodge the issues and make excuses, then Chad (an owner) will back her up. All the while twisting the facts and spending more time trying to escape responsibility for problems. They look for ways to add to the bill, charging for talking to the customer or their subs, driving to the shop, picking up materials, anything to add on! Billing errors and oversights a continual occurrence. In our neighborhood, CK is now known as THAT contractor to stay away from. Terrible, inconsistent work patterns, never cleaning up after the day, or even the week. Usually no trash cans in the house, painters dumping paint water on our bushes by the front door. The sheetrock guy thoughtlessly splashing his white sheetrock mud all over our brown bricks and windows. Sheetrock and screws and just general debris left in our nicely groomed flower beds. Bushes trampled down. Painters dumping paint water that they used to water down the paint, on bushes, grass, and in the street. Not the responsible disposal of chemicals you would expect. No regard or respect for the homeowners property, PERIOD! The previous 2 reviews here on Yelp also mention common issues. Very frustrating to pay 10's of 1000's of dollars for shoddy work and unprofessional behavior. Framers that show up and spend most of the day on their phone instead of working, tape and mud guy unreliable, that is WHEN he showed up. CK's painting co., 5 star subbed out the work to another company whose work was to put it mildly horrible. Thinned paint, improper or not the necessary equipment to do the job right, did not sand doors etc where needed. Overall sloppy prep and finish. We thought the free paint promo that Five Star was offering would be a great way to save some money on this expensive remodel, only to find out they get that money back 10 fold by cutting corners and not providing the paint products or painter expertise advertised. Instead they sent us the D Team for our project that we paid top dollar. Who ever heard of rolling paint on a steel door. Plumbers, electricians, flooring, cabinets, nothing but problems every step of the way. Should be 0 stars for CK they did nothing to earn even one!

This company may have a good products, but they over-charge and waste your time. In the beginning I was pestered by them multiple times until I sat down for a 2 hour presentation on their products. I told them that I have a rule where I think things over for 24 hours before signing a contract, they kept pushing and pushing and offering me "better deals" until I gave in. After doing a tiny amount of research after the meeting, I found that they are seriously over-priced and are known to have aggressive sales tactics. Within the same day, I sent an email that I would like to cancel the contract (Legally I have 3 days to do so) and suddenly they go super quiet. I've sent multiple emails to the salesperson and still haven't heard anything. I've called and they claimed the contract was cancelled and yet I still received notifications that they checked my credit and even approved me for a loan. Do not work with these people!

Do NOT use this company…read more A contract was signed on October 1, 2025, and as of now no work has been done on the roof whatsoever, despite the contract stating the job would be completed by 11/28/2025, which constitutes a clear failure to meet contractual obligations. The company has dragged their feet from day one. Communication is almost nonexistent. My elderly grandparents have no idea when or if workers will show up. On the rare occasions they do call, the workers either cancel last minute or don't show up at all. When you try to call the company, no one answers, and voicemails are never returned. They ordered the wrong materials, then let them sit for weeks before even bothering to pick them up and reorder the correct supplies, causing even more unnecessary delays. The pricing is outrageous--2 to 3 times higher than the average, with absolutely nothing to justify it. After reading other reviews, it's clear this company preys on elderly customers, banking on the fact that they won't fight back. This has been nothing but excuse after excuse, delay after delay, and zero accountability. If they respond to this review telling you to call them, don't waste your time--no one will answer, and no one will call you back. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and money. Look elsewhere.

I've had a leak in my roof and I've really needed to get it fixed. First off, the technician that came out was in a hurry and he didn't inspect it thoroughly because he had another appointment. He came back another day and inspected it a little better. He left some roof shingles lifted up so the adjuster could see it. When he found out that we had Travelers Insurance he was more optimistic to see if he could get the claim to go through. The insurance adjuster came out and said that because there wasn't enough wind damage on the roof and all that he could do was approve a claim to fix or ceiling for $1400. Why would I fix my ceiling until I get my roof leak fixed? The technician told me that they would try to appeal the claim and it may take up to 5 -6 months to get the appeal to approve. He also said that they would tarp the part of the roof so it wouldn't leak. Another rain storm and roof leaked again. I asked if they heard anything back from the insurance and was told by the technician that they were still in negotiations but that the insurance might stand firm in the claim not going through. I'm not disappointed but the claim, I'm disappointed that the technician did not do thorough inspections or even go into my attic or even put up a tarp like he said he would. I will change my rating if they contact me with good news or bad news. I'm not going to chase them. I'm the customer. Right now, I feel like a number.
