I have been a patient of Mark Harrington's for about 5 years now. I have several problems with this with my lower back and neck due to past automobile accidents. I was recently in a car accident and the driver that hit me had very little insurance. My attorneys office contacted Dr. Harrington to let him know that my settlement would be very small and due to this fact. I had owed Dr. Harrington over $3000 and he waved the entire bill so I will get a decent settlement. Dr. Harrington and his staff are the best! Dr Harrington is very professional, honest, personable and easy going. He lets the patients decide how often they need adjustments and is available for walk-ins. They are very respectful of the patient's time constraints and therefore they provide amazing care quickly and efficiently (you don't sit in the waiting room for more than a few minutes). Dr. Harrington has helped me with my migraines. Often I need to get adjusted the same day I get a migraine and I can usually walk-in and see him for an adjustment. His adjustments are gentle (he can even adjust you without all of the cracking if you prefer). This is an open, honest review after much thought and a cancelled second appointment... He is a nice guy and the receptionist is friendly, but his service is lacking exponentially. He has a basic tens machine and spends more time pitching his "treament plan" than working on your back. No frills. Tens and a weak adjusment on your 10 minute lunch break (meaning not a lot of time spent). You're in a room for treatment separated by a drawsheet, no privacy. If I could give a negative star I would... We was referred to them from The university academics department as we are needing a chiropractic company for United Cerebral Palsy, I asked to speak to Mark Harrington when the very unprofessional receptionist named "Randy" (very Miami classless accent and perhaps not her real name) hung up on the director and myself 3 times. Her first response is " not interested ... Click" we are not sales people so we didn't understand. We called a second time asked for her name and why did she hang up? She hung up again. She wouldn't even allow us to speak. Is this how you treat potential marketing partners or patients??? We will NEVER refer anyone here. It's sad to see uneducated unprofessional receptionist ruin hard working medical companies... We called a Third to inform her of her unprofessionalism and her name and how we were referred by the university... She rudely gave her name (which may not be real) with a weird laugh. My family and I have seen Dr Harrington on and off again for 3 or 4 years. He's by far the most thoughtful and compassionate Doctor I've been to. I deal with really bad migraines and sometimes I need to come in on extremely short notice. He always fits me in no questions asked, and helps me though it. At times the pain is so bad I can't be in a room with bright lights and he always accommodates me. I'm a big believer in chiropractic care and I've seen many chiropractors over the years. Dr Harrington is the only one who I genuinely feels cares about my pain and the source of it. He sits there and tries to figure out the source of my migraines with me (blood pressure,diet,hydration) He doesn't try to sell you on anything or make you come back 4/5 times a week unless you GENUINELY need it.
