From start to finish Shenandoah Shutters was great to work with. Sales rep, Amy, was knowledgeable and able to answer all my concerns and questions. The installation crew was professional and did a beautiful job. The quality of the product is superior with touches like the soft edge you will not find elsewhere. The shutters look even better than anticipated and we are very happy. We have already referred customers. The shutters speak for themselves. A huge draw for us initially was that Shenandoah Shutters are made in the USA. We had bids from other companies but the product was made in China and shipped to US. The difference in price was negligible, but shipping time was expected to be much longer with the other companies. What an awesome product and customer service. Some of our shutter louvers paint was cracking. I contacted Shenandoah Shutters, where the previous owner purchased the shutters. Their staff came out and reviewed the problem. They determined all shutters needed to be replaced. They replaced all shutters for no cost, $0, under the previous owner's warranty. We took the time to collect price quotes from two other companies and decided on Shenandoah Shutters. They weren't the lowest quote, but they were (by far) the most responsive and customer service-oriented company out of the three. Similar to other Yelp reviewers, Amy (our Sales Rep) was super friendly and took the time to answer all my pesky questions. She also worked us into the schedule so that our french door shutters (see pic included) would be installed before our holiday guests arrived and followed up with me a month later to see if I was satisfied. Install was quick, thorough, and included a hands-on demo with me to ensure I understood how to lift the shutter for window cleaning. Many folks (including myself) were/are worried about shutters blocking out light, but I do not find this to be the case. The french door shutters are gorgeous with a beautiful door handle cut around. Simply put, our shutters are STUNNING. Shenandoah Shutters are top-notch and offer the whole package: quality and craftsmanship, with a razor sharp focus on customer service. Our experience has been that they are very professional and the product looks great. The shutters have made our home more elegant and custom. Amy was extremely professional and quite informative with her presentation of the plantation shutters. She didn't mind switching out the samples a few times so that I could make the right decision for me and what would make me happy for years to come. Size, color, material, hinges or not, it all matters. I didn't feel rushed at all, it was a very nice experience considering it was during the pandemic. Amy was able to get me an earlier date for my appointment and get my order in right away. I was quite happy to support a business that is located in Richmond, Virginia, which cut down on such a long wait time for installation. I was elated with the end result! I've had Shenandoah Shutters shutters in my home for 5 years and they looks as good today as they did the day I bought them, so I went back to buy more to outfit the rest of my first level. Working with the staff at Shenandoah Shutters has been quick and easy both times and truly a pleasure from measurements to install....they even custom order the paint I needed to match the other trim in my house!!! Very happy with the quality of the shutters and the customer service. The shutters aren't as bulky as the other shutters I looked at and the measurements and installation was easy. The quality and price is much better than a popular retail story that I used in the past which continue to break. I've had no issues with my Shenandoah Shutters and I know if I do, they will have someone out in a jiffy to correct it. The customer service is top notch! This company came to my house and measured shutters for two window openings. The shutters they placed on our windows were completely wrong. They claimed our shutters did not open all the way so they installed the shutters on top of the window trim. We told the company the shutters should have been installed inside the window casing. The company refused to fix. Very disappointed we paid top dollar for poor service and unattractive shutters. read more
